It is a good draw for Celtic, who are spared travel and associated challenges.
The first leg, at Celtic Park, will take place on 16 or 17 July with return in Belfast on 23 or 24 July. Don’t book travel until dates are confirmed.

Seen Cliftonville 3 times in the season past ans they are no mugs, my bhoy plays for their youth team….they are fit bhoys and will make it difficult for us.
They play on a 4g pitch and it is likely that the game will be moved to Windsor Park.
I hope we are fully focused on the game and given the first leg at CP we need to get a few in front…
Should be a great return and a warm welcome will be there for all hoops attending from the Cliftonville supporters….great city Belfast….keep to the right areas…..
Unfortunately, we are all away on holiday and will be watching both legs in Lanzarote

Think that tickets could be a problem. It may depend on the game being moved to a bigger ground and how many we get. As i said if I can Sean’s girl may be able to get some locally as she has loads of family in Andytown. I will keep us up to date where we stand once we know where the game will take place.

So we’re all off to Belfast in the green…
Good shout from whoever on this site, narrowed it down to about four teams, one of which was Cliftonville. Hopefully the start of another European venture. I know playing the qualifiers can be a real hastle, but last season they provided good preparation for the group stage, and will do again if we can get there. Good draw!
Absolutely amazing draw for the Reds. Celtic, former winners of the competition, in the Champions League. For those of us who follow Celtic too it’s literally a dream come true.
Regarding the game in Belfast, the official capacity of Solitude is 2,180 though that includes the terracing under the old stand that can’t be used for UEFA games. The old stand itself is occasionally used for bigger domestic games but it too can’t be used in the Champions League. Temporary seating may be an option but the logistics around it may be unsurmountable.
Without any additional such seating the capacity will be 1,878. Which means that an alternative venue will at least have to be considered. Casement Park, the GAA venue in the west of the city, does not have a UEFA licence for its facilities, nor does it have many UEFA standard seats (it’s most concrete bench seating and terracing). And that’s even if the Antrim County GAA board would allow it to be used for “soccer”. And it’s all a moot point as it is now closed for renovation work.

I stayed in sand beech villas a coiple of times in teguise. Quiet place and good for you with the weans. The wind lulls you into feeling you aren’t getting roasted so beware…

Pool areas are astro turf so good for the kids although walking into the pool very slippery so keep an eye on them there.
We stayed in the middle area on top terrace. Nice wee pub across road had sky sports for a wee afternoon pint.
Some people talking of next round already. Let’s not be arrogant and presumptuous. Cliftonville are Champions and by all accounts are a bloody good team who play good football.
I don’t want to see or hear of over confidence in the ranks of our supporters. I’m sure as hell that Lenny won’t allow it to enter the mind sets of our players. We should treat The Reds with the greatest respect and not give their players any unnecessary additional motivation to beat us.

The old saying take one game at a time springs to mind Cliftonville will be no push over and if we approach it in the mind set that the 3rd Qualifying game is the important one we could easily find we dont get that far.Lets concentrate on getting a good crowd at Celtic Park for the first leg and a good result with it.Cliftonville I am sure will see this as there Barcelona moment we need to be up for what will be a tricky tie.H.H.
