Commons touch and experience needed

I was pleased Ronny Deila fronted up for the press conference yesterday. He didn’t say anything particularly revealing but it was reassuring that the pressure of the last week hasn’t seen him hide from searching questions.

Mention of clear the air talks at Lennoxtown was welcome. It lets us know that the fans are not the only ones who believe the ‘air’ hasn’t been right recently. It will also, hopefully, have given anyone harbouring a grievance to get it out.

One of the manager’s biggest decisions for Sunday is who to trust in midfield. He needs players who will respond to the circumstances, and who can open what will be a packed defence. Guys who have been over the ground before, who know how to dig deep in the face of adversity, are also required. For me that means a start for Kris Commons.

  1. MacJay, re-21st century, that was funny, liked that.

I live in the enlightened area of Scotland.

And no, individuals aren’t to blame, collective Board decisions are.

Paid a wee visit to St Bride’s Cambuslang this evening for the 5.30 vigil. Just wonderful to see Father Paul looking so well.

  3. This is hard, I am praying for Gimnasia to beat the Popes team for a fair few bob, how does that work then ?

0-0 15 mins to go and Gimnasia should be 2 or 3 up by now, maybes yer man is watchin, lucks oot then me thinks.

  4. TET, I have both defended and criticised the Board, and will continue in that vein, call it as I see it so to speak.

The Board are doing poorly, it’s the lack of communication with, and lack of support of the customer base(Tims).

I am struggling to get to games right now, work is demanding, and lots of time on the road means time at home is precious, but if I’m being totally honest, I’d make more effort to get to more games, if the football and engagement was better, Mrs Doc is a Tim too.

We should have heard something about Sevco when they are formed, we should have heard about Res.12, not detail, just it’s being explore, the attacks on fans, by the Board, being told to behave ourselves, at an AGM for share holders, twice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s dividing us, not uniting us.

There are problems and those in control do not seem to have any answers.

That reminds me…..Auldheid….how many more nanometers is that res 12 closer to crossing the line?

  8. Had a wee check back there at our performances so far in 2016, just so that I could properly understand why there’s such a clamour for Ronny to go.

    Played 12, Won 8, Drawn 2. Lost 2

    Or, league only –

    Played 9, Won 6, drawn 2, Lost 1.

    Hmmmmmm……

    Let’s just win the double.

I heard a wee celtic fan calling out Keevins on the phone in….. why did you call me a liar when I said I didn’t miss them but you didn’t call Tony roper a liar when he said the same thing .

Keevins nearly choked on his scotch broth but fudged an unrelated answer. The wee guy bit back that he wasn’t given an answer then McCullough the presenter spilled his cockaleekie saying it was all getting too personal.

I could never imagine selling my soul to the devil the way arris hole lickers like Keevins and McCullough have . I really hope that soup is tasty and nutritious as they will pay for it big time when the reaper takes them

I said 4-0 was a doing and they are an obvious threat to us. Didn’t praise them or say they are a good team.

  13. I have to be fair to myself, of the last 5 home games I wasn’t in the country for 4 of them, so one was missed that I might have made.

  14. Doc

Aye, they do seem rather detached from the average supporter so they do.

I have no prob with right wing tories on the board per say as long as they do what s right, but they don’t, they are making a total feck up of things.

We are 4 years into no OF, we should be light years ahead of thems, but no, why not, this is the question, cos the OF has been the plan all along, they believe they need the competition, they are 100% wrong, but that is what they are all, about, the OF.

It is also the reason I believe the suits have done feck all about the referees, sort them and we would win everything year after year, it’s all about the money, and if we keep winning we won’t rake in the cash for the suits, think about it, no action means more money for those and such as those.

Yes indeed father morton is looking well and getting his confidence back . I attended stations on Monday with him and felt so happy he was back . I really enjoy his easter services and look forward to them this month

Haven’t scrolled back but if there have been comments in relation to the lunchtime quarter final I’d say that that was the best I’ve seen them play in the last 4 years. Really expected Dundee to be in the semis but it was a bit of a no-contest. Unfortunately.

  18. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Ard Macha, apologies for nor replying earlier.

The thing that I find really annoying is that the media make out the only murderers were the Provisional IRA but the Army, RUC , B Specials and loyalist groups were responsible for many more murders , some with collusion of British governments.

  19. TET, agreed for years about the referees.

But that can only come from the club, no one else will do it.

    Certainly not the SFA.

  20. Davy Moyes in my opinion, wouldn’t be a good appointment, for Celtic, but then who would, I Hope for Ronnys sake we win against Morton this lunchtime, the man has been left high and dry.with the Board of Celtic Football Club, Shame on everyone of them.

  21. Jobo

Yes, I’ve been getting a hard time for commenting on the result. Better to go into next season (or this) with eyes open.

  22. the players are not playing for whatever reason , Ronnie cannot get them to play that is evident from our performances recently. Only the players can turn this round, the fans can help by backing them from tomorrow onwards otherwise we are looking at doomsday scenarios the sheep winning the league and the new TFOD winning the cup. The players have to stand up & be counted from tomorrow onwards.

  23. What input has Calton Cole had off the park at CP?

Now we know of his arranging ofthe visit to a celeb club in Mayfair and the £5000 bill – McGregor was on that trip and soon after is caught drink-driving at FOUR times over the limit.

I have no evidence, but has Cole’s stories of the high-life and astronomical wages in England, turned the heads of some of the you members of the squad – perhaps including James Forrest.

Now if I am totally wrong then I will apologise unreservedly – but Cole is a big character and none of that has been shown on the field of play.

OK, I may be clutching at straws, but there is some eating away at the whole football department.

  24. PETEC on 5TH MARCH 2016 11:57 PM

I won’t even get to see the game tomorrow but I hope Ronny is Brave in what he does.

He is in a bad situation, the making of the Man and the Bhoys

At 2-1 down and down to ten men i thought wenger was a goner today but somehow Arsenal came out of the game looking like a better bet for the championship. Let’s hope our team somehow Do something similar

The new Rangers are coming got well lucky to get their first goal. They fed off that good luck with a big crowd there willing them on.

They will be ripped to shreds when they come up a League.
