I was pleased Ronny Deila fronted up for the press conference yesterday. He didn’t say anything particularly revealing but it was reassuring that the pressure of the last week hasn’t seen him hide from searching questions.
Mention of clear the air talks at Lennoxtown was welcome. It lets us know that the fans are not the only ones who believe the ‘air’ hasn’t been right recently. It will also, hopefully, have given anyone harbouring a grievance to get it out.
One of the manager’s biggest decisions for Sunday is who to trust in midfield. He needs players who will respond to the circumstances, and who can open what will be a packed defence. Guys who have been over the ground before, who know how to dig deep in the face of adversity, are also required. For me that means a start for Kris Commons.

Good article by Stephen McGowan in Scottish Daily Mail – with Strachan ruling out any TV punditry at the Euros – I would not rule out a six-month interim stint, whilst we line a new man up.
I really am sorry about Ronny – sometimes difficult choices are forced upon us.
It’s all about opinions, but I think Kris Commons is the last thing Celtic needs now. We need players who can run and fight. Johansen may be off form, like so many others, but he will put in a shift. I’d play him on the left in place of Armstrong, who loses possession even more than Commons; And play Scott Alan in the central role.

I really liked Kris Commons, still do for his creativity and reading of the game. He can do things on the park for us that others can’t.
However in hindsight I wonder when he threw his boots into the crowd it would have been better if that should have signified the end

Just got an email from someone off this blog saying they thought I was keeping my head down after having a go at a few posters and also those that wrote the post match report after the Dundee game.
This came as a bit of a surprise as I’ve hardly had time to get on CQN in the last couple of days and have just popped in now and then.
So I decided to scroll back, argh. I don’t even mind posting after the game. I knew I had as I seen a comment about a post I’d made but just didn’t have time to find out what it was about.
I didn’t have a drink on weds night as I was taking 2 young bhoys to the game through the Kano Foundation. After the game and when I’d safely dropped the 2 bhoys off I went home and had a few drinks, I was raging at some of our fans and just couldn’t settle so decided to have a drink. I apologise to anyone that I had a go at especially the editorial team on here.
I know how much work you all put into this site and my dig at you all was uncalled for and I apologise.

Reading back I noticed some posters advocating playing Izzy on the left of the midfield . I’ve heard worse ideas.
Unfortunately it won’t happen.
That would require Ronny playing a left footed midfielder on the left.
Maybe the other nights game against Dundee will prove to be a Godsend, how those players performed suggests they should be nowhere near the first team, on the evidence of that game how can they expect to chap the managers door and ask to be put in the team, they simply cant.
Possibly Deila was giving them the rope to show what they could do. Not very much by the look of things.
