Double time for Celtic

780

It is nonsense to talk about Hampden Hoodoos, Celtic’s five defeats there since Neil Lennon became manager have been a result of poor performances, not superstition (fighting the urge to mention two last minute penalty decisions).  Celtic were unquestionably the stronger team on four of those five occasions, arguably all five, but they have been tactically out-thought at the national stadium time after time.

We are vastly stronger than Dundee United but once the whistle goes tomorrow, unless we can match them for hunger, arrest the defensive lapses which have blighted us all season, and find the key to breakdown what will be a tight defence, there is no reason to believe the outcome will be any different than when we faced a weaker St Mirren.

Shortly before that St Mirren defeat I said we were not playing consistently to win the treble we were short odds for.  Consistency hasn’t improved much since, which is why you are hearing talk coming out of Lennoxtown about this being the biggest game of the season.

It’s double time….

I know a bloke in Ireland who plays off a ten handicap, and he is the biggest bandit I have ever come across in my life.

I would wager he would beat woods given ten shots any day.

Seen him beat Harrington, Mc Dowell and Mc Ginley, they had a four ball, he would have beaten all but Harrington without his shots.

    He liked the prizes.

  2. Woods has had ameliorating surgery on his eyes, knees and back. That we know of.

    Not a good example.

I’d be interested to know from where the “60% on the TV audiences” stat comes from.

  4. Last Chance

The first time I recall the cabal at work was when I was a kid about 12, was watching a club championship, and I saw a bloke throwing his ball out of a bunker on to the green.

I told the club captain about it, nothing was said.

I went home and told my Da about it, he had already been told that I was making mischief, anyways, my Da believed me, I had no axe to grind, in fact the bloke who fecked his ball out of the bunker was ok, he used to give me golf balls for nothing.

My Da took the club captain to task, and he won, yer man got fecked out.

What has that got to do with the cabal you may ask……..another day mi amigo.

  5. TET I don’t play golf but those I know who do shun the cheats.

At grass roots the game has to be self-policing otherwise there’s no game.

  6. “The board is satisfied that the chief executive did not act in a racist manner but reminded him of the importance of all office bearers at Rangers upholding the standards expected by the club.

“Mr Green will deal with the pending SFA charge on this matter on a personal basis.

“The board wishes to re-iterate Rangers is a club which is opposed to all forms of prejudice and has a long-established policy of working extensively in the community through a variety of programmes and initiatives to tackle issues such as racism and sectarianism.”

Honestly, the above is what they actually said.

THE most Sectarian football clubs ( old and new) in the history of world football have the audacity to say this.

Do these fools seriously believe this?

They must live in la la land.

The world of Sevconia really suspends belief.

Interesting the words used about Green having to deal with the SFA himself . A sign of the parting of the ways ?

  7. Ps can anyone explain to me why Chuck has not been arrested by Police Scotland for his inappropriate and offensive behaviour whilst they are queuing up to arrest wee Bhoys in the GB for zombie banners and walking on the highway?

They only had a 40 minute slot southside, and tried to cram as many hits in as possible, a couple of wrong choices with Zimbo (All my colours) and The Disease, but good performance. Could tell a large percentage of the James crowd did’nt know many of their songs. Very impressed with James, could not fault them.

Saw echo and the bunnymen, the charlatans, and primal scream on the same night a few years ago at t in the park. Was told later that I had thoroughly enjoyed myself.

First time I went to T in the P was in Hamilton, and the highlight was (it was always going to be) Supergrass (mid 90s).

Then we had to follow them up one night at 3am, and we got into a barnie with their 20 roadies. As a bald fud myself, I took great pleasure in calling their head roadie a bald fud, as he was too. Cue chaos :))))

Aswad also played that night. Nice fellas. :))

Our front man accused Supergrass of stealing all our beer – but as he couldn’t stand up we knew it was him :)) Aswad just kept disappearing for a smoke and came back with a smile on their faces as all us alkies made fools of ourselves.

Since then, I love them :)))
