    Taking Celtic to the people can never be detrimental. The Australian tour was without doubt a success for the Celtic family

     

    To our fans who turned out in large numbers , the tour states they are not forgotten, they are valued and they belong. It is their club and they are an integral part of the Celtic family.

     

     

    Stating the obvious, the fundamental purpose of strikers is to score goals. If you don’t score you don’t win. That must be addressed.

    Sorry for sounding like an old broken record, but did NO ONE READ my Posts from early last week about having a CQN Meeting in the SHIPBANK on ANY SATURDAY ?

     

    It would be the WRONG CHOICE of Pub, for many reasons….

     

     

    There is LIVE MUSIC in The Shipbank on Saturday and Sunday….and Monday AFTERNOONS.

     

    You can hardly hear yourself think because of the LIVE Music and SINGERS, so any CQN Bhoys going will find it difficult to have any CONVERSATION with each other.

     

     

    The Shipbank is MOBBED on a Saturday right thru to Night Time….so its UNLIKELY if the CQN Bhoys would get Seats and Tables together.

     

    Assuming that we all DID get Seats etc, its almost impossible to have any conversation, as many of the SATURDAY Regulars, will be telling everyone else to “BE QUIET” when the Singers are on !

     

    I KNOW, cos Ive SEEN it happen !

     

    The STAFF are usually ” RUN OFF THEIR FEET” on Saturday afternoons…so MORE DIFFICULT to get served !

     

     

    So yet again MY ADVICE is….FORGET about Meeting in The Shipbank on ANY SATURDAY AFTERNOON….Its MADNESS !

     

     

    The ONLY SUGGESTION that I could make IF CQN Bhoys are so determined to meet in The Shipbank on a SATURDAY, is for everyone to get there BEFORE NOON, and SIT together NEAR The BAR….WELL AWAY from the LIVE Music and SINGERS, and well away from where we would usually sit, in the BACK LOUNGE ?

     

    I probably will NOT get a chance to speak to Frankie the Owner before Wednesday ( Its CLOSED on TUESDAYS), to TRY and RESERVE TABLES AND SEATS PRIOR TO Saturday….IF HE AGREES to have us ALL in there, or ELSE My advice is to FIND ANOTHER PUB for a Saturday Session of Conversation and Bevvying ?

     

     

    I am staying at Home Today, and the Shipbank is CLOSED on TUESDAYS, so I can only suggest to Frankie sometime on WEDNESDAY, and get his thoughts ?

     

    I dont wish to be a WET BLANKET, but I am only trying to make you ALL aware of what it is like in The Shipbank on ANY SATURDAY.

     

     

    I will speak to the Owner on WEDNESDAY, IF I can, but he MAY be VERY RELUCTANT to have anyone ( Including ME), in suggesting/trying to RESERVE TABLES and SEATS for a Saturday Meeting ?

     

     

    MY best advice is to arrange to Meet in some OTHER PUB, if you are all determined to Meet on a Saturday afternoon ?

     

     

    Im only trying to be HELPFUL ?

    One more thing…..IF I was to ask the Owner about RESERVING Tables and Seats for the CQN Bhoys to meet on a SATURDAY ( ????), the OWNER will probably ask me for APPROX NUMBERS who are certain to turn up on a Saturday ?

     

     

    HE would be correct to do so, as he would be very reluctant to RESERVE Tables and Seats etc for us, for maybe TWELVE CQN Bhoys….only to have ONLY FIVE or SIX ACTUALLY turn up ?

     

    He wouldnt wish to put his REGULAR SATURDAY Punters at any inconvenience ?

     

    So if someone can give ME an APPROX NUMBER by Wednesday lunch time….that MAY be helpful ?

     

     

    Again, I would suggest that you all reconsider and find ANOTHER Pub for a Saturday Session………You know it makes sense !

     

    I will wait until Wednesday for any Feed Back from you Bhoys on here……….otherwise its completely out of my hands ?

    I am hoping for a SCORING DRAW Today with the IRAN v England game ?

     

     

    MAYBE, Im hoping for too much, but lets not forget that in recent games, the English Fans were chanting at Gareth Southgate…. ” YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING” !

     

    England will probably win, but fingers crossed they don’t !

    It was/is BRRB who is arranging this for Saturday, its really nothing to do with me.

     

    I Posted on here about MY MISGIVINGS about meeting in The Shipbank on ANY SATURDAY a couple of weeks ago when it was first mooted on here….?

     

    Its a BAD IDEA….in my opinion.

    Just drove by the Shipbank. FFS, they’ve got squads of fluorescent clad workers cleaning up the pavements etc .

     

    I guess the pavement has to be clean before laying the red carpets
