Extra week training in July has huge impact

2173

I was concerned about a trip to Estonia after hearing Hearts struggle in their home leg against Estonian opponents last week, so news that Gibraltar’s Lincoln Red Imps beat Flora Tallinn was welcome, although the concern was tempered as news arrived that Hearts were three goals up in the away leg.

The lesson here is that in July, one more week’s training has a huge impact on performance.

Brendan Rodgers will be happy with how training has progressed thus far, but it’s only when players put multiple 90 minutes under their belts that they are ready for competitive action. There’s not necessarily a great deal of work to do to overcome Red Imps (no offence intended), but qualifiers come thick and fast thereafter. Despite beating Slovenian champions Olimpija Ljubljana yesterday, I expect Celtic will be more motivated for Saturday’s game against Maribor.

It gets serious from now onwards.

If not then I suggest a revolution.

Aye,true. But it’s not just the huns who have the odd tinfoil-heid in their midst. One of “ours” posted two minutes after you,wi content to prove it.

  9. I have bet France to win the tourney, but the penalty was very poor.No chance to get his hand out of the way.

Still worried about Ronaldo in the final. That header against Wales was sublime.

Thats what he does.France still got the best midfield though.Defence,H,mmmm.

Big money for me if they win,but who knows.

Think we could have some kind of announcement tomorrow.

It gets harder to keep up with the ever changing “personalities” in this modern world which is, incidentally, rubbish.

So, is it just me, or had anyone else heard of this Angela Loathsome character that is a contender for the Tory Party Leadership?

  25. As we wait with heavily bated breath on the next anti-climatic installment of the Res 12 tee-shirt campaign – let those who would have used it to besmirch the character of those in charge at Celtic, take heed:

“Whoever fights (imagined) monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you”

Have they seen the error of their ways ,or is it just the Brendan factor ?
