Gang of 10 changes will destroy Celtic

374

The BBC today report that the Gang of 10 SPL clubs have agreed a plan to re-write the rulebook of Scottish football in order to parachute Sevco into the second tier of the game.  They also report that Hibernian, Rod Petrie, briefed Charles Green of Sevco on their conditions to accept his company.  These conditions involve paying Rangers football debts and fines.

The plan involved the most almighty reorganisation of the league structure in order to gain enough support from lower league clubs to entice them to agree to place Sevco in the First Division.  They also want to take YOUR money in perpetuity to buy votes from lower league clubs, and have included a provision to allow them to vote for a share of home gates – all to establish a club called ‘Rangers’.

Crucially, the SFA, led by president Campbell Ogilvie and chief exec, Stewart Regan, have colluded in this scheme by not instructing the Appellate Panel to convene to consider Rangers punishment after the Court of Sessions told them to do so 30 days ago.  It is expected the Appellate Panel will suspend ‘Rangers’ from football for a year when it convenes.

The Gang of 10’s plan would require Rangers to withdraw their objection to the initial Appellate Panel ruling but it would also require the independent judicial overview of Scottish football to end before action is taken against the club for illegally registering players for over a decade, or for improper use of EBTs to scape social taxes, both of which are likely to expel the club.

Disciplinary rules cannot be changed because ‘Rangers’ are about to be punished.  Leagues cannot be restructured to allow a team bearing the name ‘Rangers’ an easy passage to the top.  This is no longer sport.

The utter stupidity of this scheme is staggering.  They are making plans with a man who owns a stadium but who cannot call on any supporters.  They are about to wreck Scottish football for a company who have yet to establish their financial viability.

Your money is being bargained away by every club in the SPL apart from Celtic.  Are you happy about this?  Will you continue to pay for Sky TV or ESPN?  Will you continue to buy tickets to attend away games?  Will you ever attend a League Cup or Scottish Cup game again?

Celtic paid their bills and conducted their business fairly and properly.  Be under no illusion, these changes will destroy the Celtic you recognise.  Forget your Champions League trips, you’ll be scraping the bottom of the barrel with ‘Sevco Rangers’ in a few years.  We cannot be exploited in this way.

It’s time the entire edifice of Scottish football was brought asunder, better that than be subject to random acts of destruction.  I cannot support any operation funding this enterprise so I’m cancelling Sky Sports and ESPN.

Oh! Why Tom, why, why why.? You really have got me worried, you are either overdoing the booze or the drugs or you’ve just lost the plot.

I have no idea who Celtic Mac is, and I don’t really care either. If he wants to try and score narcissistic points of me when he obviously hasn’t got a clue what he was on about, that is up to him, I hope he lives happily ever after in whatever reality he lives in. Now you are telling the world that I think you are Celtic Mac or was it Frank Kafka? You’ve got me confused with your post but you are telling the world what I THINK. You are telling the world what I WILL DO. Mate that is some gift you have there. I thought you were full of it but you never stop confirming it.

Frank Kafka was a rude poster who used to come on here and not only did he dig at me he was extremely rude to quite a few others who post on here, one of whom is now deceased. In my eyes Frank Kafka was not a very nice person who could not string a sentence together. Now that would be anathema to a pendant (sic) like you. There was a time I thought it was you but I was put right on that one. Nothing to do with you, there were others too who used to haunt the nightshift but then you’ve removed all doubt from peoples’ minds by having Paul confirm they were not you. And they have all gone now, which in some ways is a shame.

So what are you on about now? You look for confrontation all the time and every time I or anybody bites you play the victim card or you shove in a sick note.

How many times is that now you’ve sent to Paul that you’ll have no more exchanges with me? How many times have you told the blog you are not going to have exchanges with me, but you always renege on your promise and snyde straight back in again. And every time I go to post the post written by you that prove you are an habitual liar… you shove in a sick note.

Be my guest Tom, stay away from me, if you can. You are weird man, really weird.

Oh I know what it was that made you think of me, it was that word POTATOE. Tom you really do need to toughen the f up and stop being so sensitive. Your vanity is being smothered by your sick notes.

Oh and since you promised you’ve had your last word to me, I won’t be too disappointed if I don’t get a reply from you.

Now where did I put those pesky back up drives?

    I agree strongly

    Auldheid,

thats the difference pal, I would not be interested in any of their answers, nor would I want to give them further opportunity to create confusion and misinformation.

Independent Judicial Review to trace how long and thise involved in the corruption of Scottish football.

Nothing else is sufficient to restore integrity to our game.

  7. The more I read about these “proposals” the more absurd and unlikely they appear to me.

    1. Rangers to be relegated from SPL

There is currently an entity with an SPL share called “The Rangers Football Club Plc” and they are in administration and about to go into liquidation. As thisngs stand the SPL may be able to relegate this entity from the SPL and promote Dundee. However, new regulations will need to be put in place as there is nothing in SPL rules to enable this to happen as Dunfermline have already been relegated.

    2. Rangers to play in SFL1

If the above does happen, well and good. SFL1 will have an entity called “The Rangers Football Club Plc” but this entity has no stadium to play in and no cash to pay players. It still has players (those who objected to the transfer of Sevco).

    3. What about Sevco

Sevco following the rejection of the CVA concluded a deal to receive the “business and assets” of “The Rangers Football Club Plc”. Sevco own stadium, training ground and has approximately 10 players. What they don’t have is a license from the SFA, nor a league to play in.

Sevco will have to apply to take the SFL share that would be held by “The Rangers Football Club Plc”. Will need to check to see if this can happen easily but its unlikely.

    4. Good day to bury bad news

A phrase coined on 9/11 to mean that when others are distracted, announce something where no one will batter an eyelid about but that could be important.

The media has been concentrating on SPL teams refusal to allow share to transfer from “The Rangers Football Club Plc” to Sevco and now John Brown and friends plan to buy assets from Charles Green. This “news” causes a distraction and could give Charles green time to sell assets to someone else to put them away from any potential buyer.

  8. Half Time Tombola on

Shocking set of proposals – they just don’t make sense given the comments from the 6 SPL clubs this week. If the GOT have been involved in these discussions, do they think their fans stupid enough not to realise this is a stitch-up??

It makes no sense at all.

The major stumbling block for Sevco FC (if they can even afford to pay their skeleton squad) is that they do not have 3 years of audited accounts which is a condition of SFA membership. Even if the SFL teams do vote this through (which is a big ask IMO), the SFA CANNOT allow Sevco to play in any of their competitions without being in contravention of their own rules – there is no ambiguity where discretion can be exercised.

Added to that Sevco would, under these ludicrous proposals, take on the sporting penalties of RFC (deceased). Sevco FC therfore have to accept punishment for the following:

    1) The original offence which brought about their 1 year transfer embargo – when/if the Appellate body reconevene, the lightest sanction they can expect would be suspension from the Scottish Cup.

    2) Taking the SFA to a civil court – FIFA looking closely at this one and expect punishment which could/should be suspension from all football for one year.

    3) The prima faciae case of operating dual contracts and, as a result, fielding ineligible players. UEFA and other countries’ football associations will be watching.

If this is pulled off, football in Scotland will be dead and will be exposed as a corrupt little country, ruled by handshakes and bigotry.

    A sickened Tombola.

Rangers train…with five seniors, five juniors, and three players out of contract

    By Richard Wilson

Thirteen players have reported for the first day of pre-season training at Rangers’ Murray Park training ground, the club’s media team have confirmed.

However, three of those players are out of contract and their future is unclear under Charles Green’s newco club. It is believed they have been offered a 500 pounds per week take it or leave it offer and will mull it over.

Scotland internationals Kirk Broadfoot, Lee McCulloch and Lee Wallace plus goalkeepers Neil Alexander and Scott Gallacher are among those to have turned up.

Murray Park graduates Kyle Hutton, Ross Perry, Kal Naismith, Darren Cole and Kane Hemmings are also confirmed attendees.

Free agents Andrew Mitchell, Salim Kerkar, Chris Hegarty – whose contracts expired at the end of the season – also reported for fitness tests and their immediate future remains unclear having been informed by the clubs new owners to be prepared for a possible quick transfer. Andrew Little, who is also out of contract, is not among the 13.

The club said Dorin Goian and Alejandro Bedoya were due back today and are a little concerned that they have not turned up while Maurice Edu and Carlos Bocanegra were also given extra time off after playing for USA in World Cup qualifiers are not due back for another two weeks.

At least 10 players have objected to a transfer from soon-to-be-liquidated Rangers to the newco club, with John Fleck and Juan Manuel Ortiz joining those ranks yesterday.

Ortiz and Fleck, who both spent the second half of last season on loan, joined Rhys McCabe, Sone Aluko, Steven Naismith, Steven Whittaker, Kyle Lafferty, Allan McGregor, Steven Davis and Jamie Ness in objecting to the transfer of their contracts.

PFA Scotland believes they are free agents and have asked the football authorities to release their registration from Rangers, but Green has vowed to seek compensation.

  30. RaRaRasputin on

    Hi folks

Just a quick note to say that, unless things have changed since I last checked, Rangers are in administration, have no players, stadium or training facilities and have failed to agree a deal with their creditors meaning that they will be wound up in the next six months.

    Why all the fretting?

  31. Poland’s security services have lifted their readiness level ahead of the final Euro 2012 match on its soil on Thursday as a precaution after a border patrol found explosives on a raft on a river on its border this week.

Local media reported that a border patrol had intercepted a raft with some explosives and a cellphone that had the photo of Warsaw’s National Stadium in its memory crossing the Bug river on the border of Poland and Ukraine.

Such rafts are often used to smuggle items across the border.

  32. Walter Smith headed up a confederacy willing to put in 6mil or so. Then suddenly went quiet on it. Then The Orator heads up a new confederacy (nameless except for intent) coming in at the 8.7mil mark.

If Mr Green sells and Paul’s above scenario plays out I would expect to see a lot (A LOT) of familiar faces down Sevco way…

All we need is a figurehead baddie – Craig Whyte – Tick.

A compliant and complacent press – Take your pick – Tick

And a scenario that gets to poke Celtic up the Ronson – The Intergalactic Professional Soccer KickBall League of The Rangers – Tick

And for a right laugh – TV coverage of SPL2 – TICK

Oh, Oh, Oh What A Lovely League…

  33. Absolutely stunned at this development. What else is there to say that has not already been mentioned. The sheer audicity of these crooks that run our game during secret meetings is beyond belief.

How do we oust these people? Every supporter of every club now has to stand up and make a stance. Season tickets must be handed back. TV subscriptions must be terminated. Scotland games must be boycotted.

Demonstrations must now take place outside Hampden on a daily basis to force these conspirators from our game. I’ve had enough of their brazen masonic alligences ruining our game.

It really is time to bring down the SFA, there is no other option left if we want integrety, fairness & respect to be a part of our game.
