Delighted to see Brendan Rodgers is down to business at Lennoxtown, three weeks before the players return for preseason training. It’s interesting that he arranged an early opportunity to meet Scott Brown over a meal, and that this was made public.
Getting buy-in from senior players was one aspect of the job Ronny Deila allegedly didn’t achieve. The rights and wrongs of this can wait for Ronny’s autobiography, although you may wish to express an outsider’s opinion. All that matters to Brendan is that no one is able to speculate about the same issue on his watch.
There’s not much a manager can do three weeks before training starts than eat dinner with the captain, scout players and watch videos. I expect Brendan to have seen every minute of every Celtic game last season by the time players get back; there is lots to learn. In particular, what went wrong at the back to a team which broke defensive records in each of the previous two campaigns. You may wish to express an outsider’s opinion.
Those in the know warned us that blue collar crime is particularly difficult to prosecute, and so it’s transpired. Only Craig Whyte now faces trial in the Rangers fraud case, which saw remaining charges against Duff and Phelps’ administrators David Whitehouse and Paul Clark dropped at the High Court in Glasgow this morning. It’s far from a satisfactory outcome.
Good to hear the losing Scottish Cup final manager, who was left with some bears in Japanese forest for seven days by his parents, has been found safe and well, even if he has nothing to say for himself.

I think a few will leaving without kicking a ball and there will be no clean slate that some suggest. A few would be better giving 4 weeks notice on their rented west end pads and google removal firms than trying to build bridges that they have burnt.
Hearing that BHS coming (cough) out of liquidation and will be called….

I suppose that being LP of Glasgow, he had to show a bit of neutrality.
I read it as damning them with faint praise, as in, feeling sorry for them being perceived as receiving preferential treatment from the Authorities.
Thank God that climate changed .
PS.
I liked the bit about him comparing the SFA’s action being more akin to Nazi Germany than good old British fair play!

Hmmm..
As a ‘Outsider’ I Full well Knew that Going for a Meal with Ronny Delia would Not be Fun especially in the Off Season when Players like Commons..Griff..Brown.. just Love a Kebab and Tea-Cake..
”In particular, what went wrong at the back to a team which broke defensive records in each of the previous two campaigns. You may wish to express an outsider’s opinion.”
Hmmm..
Don’t think I’m the Only ‘Outsider’ to Know that if You sell or Loose Your 2 Best Defenders it has the Possibility of ending in the Above Quote..
And it’s Not just ‘Insiders’ that know What went wrong..See Above..Do the Math
Must be great at they ‘Insiders’ Lunches..”Hey l Heard from a good Sauce that Brendan had Blackpepper and Skoosh had Tzatziki..Obvs..lol”..”Hey have You heard Peter is Selling our best defender..?

I’m glad ‘Those in the Know’ were Not Lawyers for the Prosecution..Blaming others in Legal Maters Muddy’s the Water in what is Already the Biggest Can of Worms in Scottish Football History..

If Our Hero Craig Whyte is Convicts as the Sole Fraudster it.. In My Very Humble opinion.. Give Prosecutors the Golden ticket to go for the One they Really Want..Sir David Murray..Olde Craigy might just bring him down with Him..

Think most of the senior players will move on. Hopefully anyway. Would keep Scott and Charlie.
Think the younger ones will thrive in a cleared out dressing room.
Would keep CG as well. Forgot about him!
GIGGSY
As you say, looking in, it’s all down to conjecture.
A couple of facts though. Deila admitted pre Christmas he’d made errors with the players. His early tenure at Stromsgodset also included a period of friction with the players.
And if I had one criticism to level at the guy that would be it, he just didn’t seem to learn from mistakes.
I wouldn’t keep Charlie.
Apart from slowing the game down, by over dwelling on the ball, making cute wee turns, the time was long past to offer his “walk off” explanation.
He should have spoken out after the game, not months later, after the manager has left the country.
Charlie offered to play for twenty minutes, but Ronny, the scoundrel, put him on for twenty five!
We might be daft, Chic, but we’re no’ stupid.
Have a read at the Andy Lynch interview on CQN yesterday to see what would have happened in his time at Celtic had a player acted in the way Kris Commons did in Norway after being substituted.
Also, here’s a new article on the two years Ronny spent as Celtic manager. Quite a long read but worth the effort…
THE RONNY ROLLERCOASTER. HIS CELTIC STORY…

Correct, I never really made clear that Deila drove himself of the cliff. He just didn’t seem to handle things well.
GLASSTWOTHIRDSFULL
I’d keep Gordon too. An observation, well my opinion about his contributions.
During our 4th title winning season his kicking was immaculate, pin-point in it’s accuracy. It was the main positive he had over Forster. Last season, his kicking was poor, really poor.
Strangely enough, it improved markedly once we knew Ronny was for the off.
An outsiders point of view!
It is incredible that any senior player has to be bought in. Isn’t that why these guys are earning huge salaries, if that ain’t enough to buy them in, then they should be thrown straight out the door. Giggsy did a good analysis of the alpha males, this years seniors were like a pack of bitching kids. Hopefully BR is getting the inside track and gets rid.

Craig Whyte leaving court. https://t.co/6oDoSnxg3S
Craig from SOS always like to be the big man in front of a crowd but I’m sitting here wondering why he’s not asking for SDM’s number the man that started it all ? Not so big after all is he.
SDM cost the taxpayer billions & here is is again starting up again in this corrupt shi**hole as if nothing happened.
Sir David Murray’s £1bn Edinburgh ‘garden district’ approved https://t.co/wf4eUtXds7 https://t.co/axMlADTN9t
Totally disgusting but I suppose when you’re a 32nd Mason you can do as you please. If it was you, me or any other member of the public we would be jailed.
Sevco fans are the biggest hypocrites in this country. They threaten CW but not a peep directed towards SDM.

Only 1 of 5 charged to stand trial. What are COPFS playing at?

‘The report has received a huge response, over 50,000 people reading the relevant post. More people than the average home game at Ibrox this season’.
Now, now boys, have they not suffered enough?

As a fisherman I find that highly offensive, discriminatory and extremely hurtful.
Please divulge your Saturday morning newspaper of choice?(joking, honestly).
Oh, and keep Lustig too!

I think Craig’s game improved during the season as we started to get more of a settled back four. There were so many changes and different CB combos in the first few months that he couldn’t seem to get any confidence.
Looks like Dave Swarbrick really has died this time. Sad.
.
Raheem Stirling’s Agent basically came out in the Press and Stated what some of our Senior Players thought about Ronny Delia
That 50% of the Players thought He (Brendan)..was a Bad Manager but a Good Coach..

Absolutely no need for a clear out.
I’ve read on here possibly hundreds of times, that we were pumped out of Europe purely down to bad management and tactics.
Brendan should find cl group stage qualification a skoosh.

Henr1k,
Your post @ 1.52pm.
Someone to Whyte, ‘Just plead guilty Craig do us all a favour….”
What’s the odds? Guilty plea? Deal with the Prosecution?
Minty walks into the Dock or back into Ibrox?
The only thing so far that hasn’t gone in Sevco’s favour was the Cup Final.
Oops there’s an enquiry into that too……..

Please accept my humblest apologies it was by no means a slight on the brave prawn catchers represented on this blog…
Tribune De Geneva…
Wondering how long it will take for someone on here to label Brendan, a “Tory Property Magnet just like his pals on the board”?
Talking of fishermen…
Maybe Whyte will plead guilty do a short sentence and walk away a rich man, having taken the fall. Or maybe not.
Craig Whyte, will no doubt be well briefed on the consequences of spilling the beans.
For that reason, he will take the fall, while the other villians escape justice.
He wont want to be found like Roberto Calvi…..swinging from a bridge by the neck.
Shhhh….or else.

And whats the odds they put the patsy in beside hardened huns in jail,.. thats if he survives the Jack Ruby style contract out on him:)
The wee patsy better have a few tricks up his sleeve to nullify the nudge, nudge, wink, wink mob.
Just as well they dont still use the ‘Wicker Man’ in Scoddland….Wee Craigy would be up in flames before you could say Stewart Robertson:)

SSN saying Everton are expected to appoint Ronald Keoman at some point this summer, handing him £100 million immediately and also giving him an estimated £40 million from the sale of lukaku. I hope Celtic has agreed good sell on clauses for Forster,Virgil and Wanyama.
