What a wonderful son he has turned out to be and of course a wonderful nephew for his aunt.

There was always a goodness in the young fellow’s posts back in those days. Not at all surprised at the support he is now giving to his aunt.

I know you will pass on my regards at this hard time.

It is more than likely we will win another couple of trophies next season. However have no doubts it is because the teams we are likely to beat in winning those trophies would probably struggle in a league populated by the type of teams we have faced in pre-season so far.

    …. Thanks !

The one thing we all have in common is our love for OUR football club, it is UNCONDITIONAL. That is what makes us so different to any other club. Celtic FC is unique, romantic, special, and when we have a bad result , all we need to do is read the HISTORY and we feel 10 feet tall again. From a proud Tim. Thanks to my Dad for leading the way. Goodnight and God Bless you all !

Well if any Celtic player was under any illusion of the Cliftonville game being a walkover next week ,that game tonight has focused the mind somewhat .

Well done Lenny in bringing the bhoys down to earth and focussing the minds .

Theres a fair few of us on here who love yer contributions–me from day 1 where you and the estranged Mr Franco shared these pages together, lampooning the uglies became an art form with your witty onomatopoeic prose.

We’ve had a lot of chat tonight that pre-season games are “only about fitness.” It was Furth’s third game, same as us. They won 4 games last year, and not a single home league game. So why was their conditioning so much better than ours, when we have a CL qualifier in a week’s time?

Is Commons going to lose a stone in 7 days? Is Kayal going to develop an ounce of creativity or become a goal threat in a week? Is Charlie going to be able to turn faster than an ocean liner by next Wednesday?

This was a shambles, and we were fortunate it was not a great deal worse. I have difficulty understanding why Neil persists with trying formations that have failed many times, or with putting players where they are clearly uncomfortable ( like McGeoch at right back). He was completely shredded on several occasions, even with Kelvin yelling at him. So what did we learn that we didn’t know before? The Germans put on more subs than us and simply destroyed us by running at us with pace. Their reserve center forward had less time than Balde on the park, scored two goals, hit the woodwork, and made Zaluska work for his money. I felt sorry for Balde and Atajic, because they got nothing to work with.

Unless a lot of things improve in a hurry, Union Berlin will take another six off us on Friday. Hardly ideal preparation for Belfast.

  16. Ive just been catching up on some TV and watched the documentary about Andy Murray. Well worth and hour of your time if you have not watched it. The families emotions when talking about the Dunblane atrocity was heart breaking….

He also came across as a likeable guy

Is it me or are those bloody Mc Gills buses everywhere just now?

  18. Not happy about the performance or the result tonight but after all it was a pre-season, training-camp, friendly. As I’ve said before we lack creativity in midfield, despite the fact we were missing our main midfield players. A Pirloesque player would do nicely. Too much tinkering with the defence caused a fair bit of tonight’s problems.

    Q. If tonight had been a “friendly” / training match against zombie FC with the same result would the happy clappers on here still be happy? Just a thought. Well off to Berlin on Thursday!

I agree with much of your post, other than the Mulgrew Commons OTT”ness

I logged off, as soon as ‘the let’s log on to slag Celtic fans for criticising Celtic brigade’ logged on.
