I don’t think James Forrest dishes out anymore abuse than some of the happy clapping set do to the realist on here. It’s all about opinions, well it used to be on this site. His article on Neil Lennon is pretty much spot on with what me and my likewise Celtic minded buddy’s think . Love Neil but we need to set up to other level. The fact that the currant nuns want him to stay says it all.

Bluegrass Celt “the currant nuns” Freudian slip surely!!! H H Hebcelt
I was unhappy that Lenny did not sub N’Cham within the first 15/20 Minutes against Hibs, as far as I am aware there is no hard and fast rule, regarding how long a manager should wait before making changes, due to a particular Player NOT doing his job, thats me stating the obvious…The other OBVIOUS issue about N’Cham yesterday, was that it was crystal clear how Off Form he was in that 1st half. why Neil didnt take him Off before half time, I’ll never know, but I reserve MY Right to be unhappy as he didn’t improve any after the first 15/20 Minutes, apart from one good effort at Goal.
Our Game was crying out for Tom Rogic, a player that has many attributes, especially the ability to hold on to the Ball, and release the RIGHT Weight of pass, unlike N’Cham yesterday.
I have all the time in the world for Neil Lennon, but I just hope that he starts Rogic for the remaining games, and I hope and pray that Lenny doesn’t stick with N’Cham for our next game, just to prove some sort of Point ?
Come this Saturday we will see, but IF Lenny does start with N’Cham, and Rogic is a Sub again, then I also reserve the Right to wonder if Lenny is in fact watching the same game as most of us ? We were/are far more menacing from an offensive view when Tom Rogic is in Full Flow….SIMPLES !
Do the right thing Neil, you know it makes sense !
Apart from off form N’Cham…Scott Sinclair should NOT be in the starting line up either, he’s been in hiding longer than Feckin Lord Lucan……well maybe not, but it feels like it !
I am also disagreeing about the view that The Hun support want Lenny in the Celtic job…The ones that i have spoken to, do NOT want Neil anywhere near Celtic should he do 9 in a row, far less 10.
Neil Lennon is the LAST Guy that they want at Celtic should we do 9/10 ?
That Mob will be throwing themselves oot of windaes big time IF Lenny delivers 10 in a Row.

N’Cham need games – he is still coming back from time out
First 15-20 mins – mince.
From then till half-time – better
Dont forget Rogic also needs games to back up to speed when coming back from injury & international duty
He hasnt been as good/effective as in previous years either.
The fact is most players need a run of games to kick start good form.
We just need to click.
We’ve had the same patchy runs, 2 or 3 times this season with losses thrown in too.
The fans certainly have their favourites and scapegoats.
Take yer pick at any time in the season from Gordon,Lustig, Jozo, Izzy,N’Cham,Hayes, Scooter, Jamesie and even Broonie. They’ve all had it in the neck from Celtic fans at some point.
Stop the greeting and let’s help them become legends.

Ncham-is so predictable,he’s either bad or good and you can usually see it within ten minutes.
His passing is nothing to do with fitness, maybe more his attitude

spikeysauldman, hope you are well, nothing to do with greeting methinks, lets try and score from a crossed ball or a corner, or get someone to head the ball into the net, or at least head the ball towards the goalposts, and please get the throw ins sorted out or shyes as we used to call them , we hesitate at every shye only an opinion.hh.
spikeysauldman on
big packy – agree with your observations – just who are we crossing these balls to ? we’ve had schoolboy throw-ins at Celtic for decades, not to mention more than 1 person attacking both posts ! Just think that some folk on here have short memories and expect to be entertained every minute of every game. I also wonder if some on here got to the games and moan like some who sit around me when i go – what is thta actually expected to achieve. That said , just my opinion – no better or worse than others – tho i dont always think that ;-)

When I look ahead to next season, I’d want three players.
Happy with our goalkeepers, defenders are decent, midfield is strong and there’s a million wingers to choose from each week. Two 9s and one 10 please – only grown up internationalists need apply.

GFTB @ 7:35 AM,
Yes, you can always bank on a good statistic!? Good to see some can embrace debate it good humour. Must be a 33rd County thing..;)
My eldest was up in the Brig this weekend. He said the people are so friendly… I said yes, they’re very normal up there…
RAY SINGH-CARR @ 12:54 PM,
Our default under BR and Ronny before him has been one up front. Rarely did I see BR change that and only when we were chasing games…
When Moussa and Odsonne were up front together OE played the No10 role, it seemed to suit him and while they sometimes switched it was never really a two up front in the true sense.
You are right though, teams were battered. We would have had an incredible season if they had stayed fit and together… the hunskelping would have been awesome.
We must remember, OE has only just played the same amount of games as Moussa had when he joined us. His goals and assists have been crucial and there is so much more to come from the lad.
Selling the only experienced forward we had, that could excel in the formation we played is totally ridiculous. Especially as he was a £30M+ player that went for less than 2/3rds of his value… bizarre…
The other issue we’ve got is the way Brendan Rodgers and his staff worked, it meant you got more out of eachindividual and the team was often better than the sum of it’s parts.
Clough and Taylor had this ability in spades… Vardy has been a revelation for Leicester City and they have been like a different, a much better team yet with the same players.
Also agree with the guys who say we have a tired squad… the Dubai trip gave us a boost but not a re-charge…
Celtic are missing a trick at corners. Few seem to have the determination to win the ball in the air.
On another topic, it would be instructive to know the fouls against Celtic tally this season. Refereeing leniency gives our opponents every incentive to hack, kick and butt our players. The recent attack on Christie was penalised (yellow) but so many go unpunished.
KT is now a target. He must be the most fouled player in in the SPL. A dangerously high proportion of these fouls are committed after Kieron has passed the ball forward. Sometimes our Scottish referees will award a free kick. But often they just ignore the offence. It is, at the very least a yellow card every time.

Yesterdays performance, away against an in form Hibs, was in isolation acceptable. i actually think 7 player’s got pass marks, the problem was the other 4 were poor and we didn’t win.
The draw against Livingston has caused a small problem and added a little pressure that was unnecessary , did we really give our all in that game, I’m not sure we did.
However the players can remedy the situation and 4 points from the next 2 games is a must. These ties must be approached like CL games. I’ll take the 3 against Killie though or the noise and pressure will increase.
The tiredness excuses are just that, we’re down to playing once a week and nearly every player has missed a chunk of the season, get the attitude right and we will prevail.
One thing I dont like is these one game comparisons with Brendan and Lenny.
This Lenny got a draw against Hibs and Brendan lost.
Where does it stop, i didn’t hear posters say ,Lennys Celtic could only draw with Livingston at home but Rodgers Celtic won 3 -1.
Pointless imo.

Not too sure about “normal” but when the sun is out and Celtic are 9pts clear with 12pts remaining am sure the majority are pretty happy in ML5, hope your bhoy enjoyed his weekend back up the road :-)
By the way am sure Celtic were linked with Jamie Vardy when he was banging in the goals in non-league , but I could be wrong (it’s a common occurrence :-)

FT ‘Well 1 v Celts 3. Collapse halted at one. More of a 2nd half slide than a collapse this time. Good stuff from our guys.
No doubt Maurice Ross will be content that his players took fewer than fifteen minutes to remove the Celtic captain injured.
Always angry…shame so it is!

Not for the first time, my thoughts on James Forrest blogger opinion don’t match his .
It all seems a tad OTT, fickle and reactionary.
Our defence is keeping clean sheets, we’re making chances but not converting them.
The team is running on empty, and missing some very important players.
I just remain thankful that Neil Lennon was available to take the helm at a difficult time.
The manager debate can wait. One game at a time.
