    After a first half in which we dominated without doing ought ,hibs score in the second half and a game of football broke out . Kyogo is a wee genius ,but remember also the two through balls were special ..

    A great day and great achievement to secure his first trophy after 6 months given what he inherited. Not that he’ll care but he wanted get lauded as much as other managers who took three years to win their first trophy.

     

     

    We weren’t at our best today and a few players underperformed but yet again, we get the win. Well done, Ange.

     

     

    Not sure if he spent too much in the company of Craigan but Michael Stewart did my head in today. He only saw one team all day and the shout, the actual shout demanding a pen for Hibs in the closing minutes was shocking from a supposedly neutral commentator. He’s gone down a lot in my estimation after today.

    Hibs, in the first half, came to not lose it.

     

     

    Game plan worked until young Kyogo stepped up.

     

     

    Surprised at Beaton, 100% would have bet on him giving the penalty to Hibs for Starfelt’s “push”….

     

     

    Well done to Ange, team now full of hungry players who respect the manager and do as they are asked.

     

     

    Last year was the complete opposite.

    Agree Beaton could well have given a penalty but the Hibs player went down like Starfelt had shot him , not given him a wee shove.

    Brilliant result lit up by two superb goals in a very scrappy game. Boys deserved it, no question.

     

    Our injuries continue to pile up at an alarming rate though, cannot recall anything like it.

     

    I hate to say it, but Sevco will have a field day against us if we continue to defend set pieces like we are doing.

     

    No idea why we are so vulnerable at corners regardless of who we are playing against.

    Similar experience many years ago with Roddy Forsyth giving an update from Tynecastle.

     

    We were driving from Inverness and had lost radio reception over the mountain.

     

     

    As we picked up radio 5 again…

     

    “Over to Roddy … there’s a goal at Tynecastle.”

     

     

    Roddy ,with tones reminiscent of a bad news update from a tragedy , informed the listeners that Celtic had taken the lead ” very much against the run of play”

     

     

    (Might have been Pierre… it’s so long ago)

     

     

    Against the run of play ?!!!!

     

     

    The goal had been scored 90 seconds into the 1st half.

    I had a ticket but gave it away and didn’t go to the CSC today; all to stay healthy before our trip home to Scotland at Christmas. Hard refreshing Hesgoal on my tod but worth it in the end. My mate in England has now tested positive – he has had every vaccine and got every variant.
