History beckons against Hearts at home

352

If an invincible season in the league is to be completed, we now know it will happen at Celtic Park on Sunday, 21 May, against Hearts. While getting over the line is always the most difficult part of a challenge, away games at Pittodrie, where we play nearest challengers Aberdeen, on Friday 12 May, and Ibrox, where we play Newco on 29 April, will present the most significant challenges to our attempts to complete the season undefeated.

There is also the non-trivial matter of an away derby match against our oldest Glasgow rivals, Partick Thistle, on 18 May. Thistle are a tidy team, currently on excellent form. This is exactly the kind of game that has a tendency of stopping history in its tracks.  We’ve work to do at Dingwall on Sunday before any of this, of course.

The league split was conceived to accommodate competing needs for more teams in the top flight, but fewer games. This season it has also given us some really attractive looking games after the main issue was settled.

I know one or two who would like future fixtures to be arranged to avoid the title being decided during Lent. I’m not going to say this will be easy to achieve, but it could easily be added to the agenda at next monthly conclave between the SFA, the Scottish Premiership and the Vatican.

We have halfway through our two day raffle for TWO TICKETS to the Scottish Cup semi-final next weekend. Raffle is in aid of Mary’s Meals. To enter, make a minimum £5 donation here, then email me, celticquicknews@gmail.com with the words “Scottish Cup” in the subject line, to confirm your entry.

This is a short competition, so get in quick. Competition closes noon tomorrow. Many thanks to those who entered yesterday. Remember to put your contact details on your email, wouldn’t be the first time someone didn’t get the winning email confirmation.

All orders will be shipped on Tuesday!

He goes onto to write, that Sky have snubbed ” The BATTLE” for 2nd place ???????????

I’ve just emailed the Rectum, to ask ” Do they now have a Policy to ensure that Sevco games are on tv , and provide Sevco with TV Money ” ?

I have also asked ” When writing about being “Snubbed”, why have the Rectum continually “SNUBBED” the corruption within The SFA in relation to Resolution 12″ ?

Great post about an inspirational woman.

Do you know about the heart disease research that goes on in Scotland year in year out and about the groundbreaking results that are achieved via funding from The British Heart Foundation who refuse to accept a penny from the pharmaceutical companies or from Government?

Until fairly recently I knew about none of this nor that heart disease is Scotland’s biggest killer by far with 1300 people a month dying from the disease despite the huge advances of the last 30 years.

    Kinda gobsmacked to be honest.

In the spirit of Easter, I thought I would look up the NHS web site to see if I could help Glibby. Pass this advice on in the unlikely event that you actually see him…

    Treating frozen shoulder

Treatment for a frozen shoulder will vary, depending on the stage of the condition and the severity of your pain and stiffness.

A frozen shoulder may get better over time without treatment, but recovery is often slow and can take at least 18 to 24 months. In some people, the condition may not improve for five years or more.

A number of different treatments can be used to treat frozen shoulder, although it’s uncertain how effective they are and which is best.

The treatments described below can help reduce shoulder pain and keep the joint mobile while the shoulder heals.

    Early stage treatments

The first stage of a frozen shoulder is the most painful. Therefore, treatment is mainly focused on relieving the financial pain.

During this stage, your GP may recommend avoiding movements that make the pain worse, such as stretching your finances. However, you shouldn’t stop moving your dodgy money around altogether.

Thanks for the link to the article, stunning research work. It does not surprise me at all the attitude to financial profit. I have been working for a Swedish company for 7 months now and in my visits to the country and dealings with the people , they have a very positive attitude to the well being of everyone.

They do not just pay lip service to the healthy mind, healthy body mind-set. Employers actively encourage wellness and community involvement.

People are very aware of environmental impact and it embarrasses me when people I speak to are more aware of energy policies of the UK government than I am.

  20. The PFA Scotland manager of the year award went to Mark Warburton, who won the Championship with Rangers, instead of Celtic’s Scottish title winning Ronnie Deila in 2016.

Back at the ranch, and whilst its not being spoken of too loudly up there, down here in Stoke, I bumped into a drunk fellow at a bar, who couldn’t wait to tell me that one of the players over at the Bet 365 stadium was all for joining Celtic last January, and when he couldn’t, he sulked enough to be sent out on loan, where he has continued to sulk until he gets his own way.

We’ve mentioned Bojan Krkic before, and we’re now mentioning it again, now that we have verification from our usual quality source.

Could he be the one that Brendan was referring to when he said he didn’t get everyone he wanted ? Has the recent news that Rodgers has a warchest shown us that he has won his battle to get who he wants ?
