Howe, Falkirk with a grievance

368

You and I have seen enough of the football business to know that even when someone verbally commits to joining Celtic, we should assume nothing.  Eddie Howe wanted his next destination to be an English Premier League city, not Glasgow.  Right now, the Bat Signal is lighting the clouds, anyone who wants to secure English football’s best young manager had better make their move over the weekend.  This is how football works, so let’s not get carried away.

If he arrives, it will be an appointment at the higher end of expectations, compare and contrast to Man City youth coaches who have never been in charge of a dressing room full of adults.  Or even Roy the Intense.

Having filtered through so many possibilities in recent weeks, I can find fault with every one of them, even Brendan Rodgers, who is clearly the best manager in British football right now, did not get a tick in the box when it came to recruitment.  We will critically assess Howe if and when he becomes Celtic manager. For now, let’s just hope we get our man.

Falkirk are atop the third tier and nurse a grievance from a year ago, when they were pipped to promotion by 0.03 of a point per game average by Raith Rovers.  Tomorrow’s Scottish Cup tie has all the hallmarks of an underdog fully motivated against an inconsistent giant.  Some of us will remember a comparable freezing cold night 15 years ago when a young Falkirk striker, Anthony Stokes, scored at Celtic Park on his way to a penalty competition victory in the League Cup.  Let’s turn up prepared and hungry this time; I want the Scottish Cup.

    Rogers – walking out

    Lawwell – appointing Lenny

Lenny – not up to the task and wouldn’t admit it

Just like to apologise to TET for being part of the hoard who questioned his cynicsm.

I seen the plademic video’s today, i checked all the debunk videos and not one of them satisfied or debunked the material provided.

I also tried to access the plandemic website, it is blocked from all sources I used, that was IMO the most suspicious part of the experience.

The only way to debunk is to have the discussion with open access, censorship demonstrates something to hide.

    Sorry TET.

    Go Tell…,

i was touting Lenny, I did qualify my support by stating that if he was allowed to operate unbridled he would be a success. I also stated he would probably take the role under any conditions imposed and this would likely be his downfall.

The stripping of freedoms is indeed terrifying. The political and economic forces of darkness are exploiting the pandemic to strengthen their grip.

They do it so blatantly as well!

Tens of £billions to mates for test and trace that doesn’t work and PPE that doesn’t exist.

And new laws in England that allow the police to prevent you protesting if they think you may offend someone! And the US vultures circling the NHS.

All the more reason for us to try to stay healthy.

    Take care

    Petec,

As I said, until today I did not know they existed, and that is gods truth and why i apologised to TET for being part of the bullying hoard.

  10. Well apologies Mr C.

I know you have a very sceptical mind (thankfully) and I know this last year must have been horrendous for you.

Maybe if he got to chose his own back room team he might’ve fared better this season, who knows, I could have perhaps provided more detail.

Not sure I’m onboard with a lot of what you say, but I do admire your assertion for people to research the information for themselves.

Radio 5s Roddy (Debenture) Forsyth taking great delight in reminding us that we have not beat Falkirk in the Scottish Cup since 1963, en route, I guess, to the final that year. Any memoires from that Cup run back then?

  16. Tim Horton no a fan of Andrea either she called an election that cost the Province millions as she thought she would win it and was lucky tae keep her seat.

The last and only NDP Premier was a Liberal until he became a Rhodes scholar and when over there witnessed the cardboard city in London which changed his political outlook.

His real name BTW isnae Rae but Cohen. His grampa was a Lithuanian Jew who relocated to Glasgow where he met his future wife.

Prior to emigrating they were advised to adopt her maiden name as they would struggle to get ahead with a Jewish one in WASP Canada.

As for Justin a lot better than that sleekit fckr Harper who was never a Tory but made a deal with Peter McKay then backstabbed him while in office.

Really impressed listening to Eddie Howe. He’d be a really ambitious appointment.

Like many, my fear is that Glasgow will be such an alien environment to an introverted chap like himself a that it might just gobble him up.

He has a job just turning over the preening prima donnas in the depressing room.

What a shit fest Lawwell is leaving behind.

  21. https://www.ecdc.europa.eu/en/immunisation-vaccines/facts/vaccine-preventable-diseases

There are 25 listed diseases that have been rendered preventable by vaccine. So much guff spoken and written by some who probably wouldn’t be alive today without the UK’s historical vaccination programme.

The Covid vaccine is a triumph for modern science and the UK is front and centre in R&D and distribution.

In my opinion anyone who refuses the vaccine, without a proven health reason, and puts other people in danger, is no better than a drunk getting behind the wheel of a car in a pedestrian area.

As they say we will have to agree to disagree re Harper and Justin.

  23. 1 up front against Falkirk – no apologies for the repetition.

And it’s not Eddie or Ajeti. It’s Griff. In days of olde that wouldn’t have been an issue, but what has Griff done to merit the start. Do we need to rest Eddie after his international sojourns. What for? The league is gone, there is only the Scottish cup.

Brown is leaving, Soro should be starting. Again, what’s the point?
