Impose a player on the manager or pay up

422

The Barton issue: it seems bizarre to suspend a player for four weeks after an incident, more so to extend that by a further week immediately before a clear-the-air meeting, but it’s not.

This has got nothing to do with the player. Whatever he did with a team-mate in the aftermath of our 5-1 win a month ago has nothing to do with his continuing suspension. Nor is the player’s subsequent charge for gambling on football.

I’m pretty sure it’s not even about money, or the player’s lack of ability. This is about the manager and his board. Who authorised his signing in the summer and on what basis was he employed? Warburton has played his hand by passing the issue up to his board. The board can try to impose the player on the manager, again, or they can find the money to make the problem go away.

Or maybe the manager will go instead.

    BHOYJOEBELFAST,

Ya wee rascal ! I immediately thought of Quizball, as I remember it well.

However, I don’t remember Big Billy being part of the team, that is what threw me off ?? Jim Craig and John Cairney were our match winners, clever guys.

*wispy tae who only answered one question. “who or what is a Garryowen”, answer “a pundit with the Noon Record” )))

  2. VFR,

In the interests of protecting cnqnrs on here perhaps engaging a Glasgow solicitor who I have already successfully sued in 2012, and who I hope to sue further, am I allowed to post this crooks details ?

There is no chance of this serial liar, thief and fraudster ever suing me for any info shared on here as he knows to well that for him to do so ( if he somehow found out about this site, which is extremely doubtful), as if he tried that then ALL details of his criminal says would come out in Court.

I’ve previously posted on his website what he is and openly challenged him to sue me, knowing that he wouldn’t dare for fear of the truth coming out !

If the answer is no, then that’s okay, I just want to warn people about this chance.

After my experiences with him, he ADMITTED to the Law Society of Scotland during a further investigation of him concerning an elderly Glasgow couple, of trying to steal £91,000 from this oap couple .

The Law Society finedhim £1,000 !

This was less than 2 years after I had sued him thru another legal organisation.

I only wish to protect as many cqnrs as possible. ?

    Cheers.

The ‘proposal’ regarding away tickets is Celtic’s attempt to sanitise the away support.

Still can’t see what the consultation is – can anyone help?

I’ve emailed JP Taylor, but no reply yet – any links to anything official?

Difficult one, mate. Best idea might be to mail PAUL67 with the details and ask if he will allow it.

Alternatively, ask him to pass it on to BIG NAN. There’s a man who hates the establishment with a vengeance-and with good reason. No stranger to taking on lawyers,he will almost certainly be able to help.

  6. BIG JIMMY on 9TH OCTOBER 2016 4:11 PM

That’s one for Paul, not me. He’s the gaffer here!

However, my own viewpoint would be that you advise anyone you discuss him with you didn’t find him to be the best lawyer you’d used before and wouldn’t personally recommend him.

That’s your opinion, not a expert opinion on his capability as a lawyer, therefore not libellous.

Lithuania were also the most enthusiastic of all Nazi collaborators. Fascist jew hating scum.

*and I thought that was the Croats with the Ustaše who between 1929 and 1945 murdered hundreds of thousands of Serbs, Jews, Romany and anti-fascist dissidents, interestingly they had no problems with the Muslim community in the former Yugoslavia. Incidentally, I have members of my family who are of Croatian extract and do NOT deny the above.

As for the Lithuanians in Scotland, not all arrived for economic reasons, some fled the Tsarist Russians. Not all were Catholics either; there were Jews as well who settled in and around Glasgow working in the merchant industry.

As a side note the grandfather of a future Ontario Premier and leader of the Federal Liberal Party was one of those immigrants. He married a local lassie and they decided tae emigrate tae Canada, prior to leaving he was advised tae adopt his spouse’s traditionally Scottish ken dodd name as it would improve their financial chances in WASPISH Ontario.

Anyway, the Catholic Lithuanians settled in the industrial belt of Scotland, particularly Coatbrig, working mainly doon the pits, which supplied the iron and steel works, much to the resentment of Keir Hardie and the local unions.

The newcomers weren’t exactly welcomed with open arms, (see the Irish, “Pakis” and Poles later on, Scotland isnae really the bastion of hospitableness) especially in the local mining communities and the Lanarkshire Miners’ Union actually offered to support any strikes against the Lithuanian presence in the area.

Although the main reason for this was the undercutting of wages and decline in safety measures, part of the problem lay also with their religion. The local media took up the anti-immigrant protest, like the Jews, the Lithuanians were accused of being ‘most filthy in their habits of life’ and a danger to the health of the local community. Drunkenness was also highlighted.

As far as I know there is not one drop of Lithuanian blood in my body, I’m 100% Celt on both sides of the family originally hail hailing from the Emerald Isle but I am forever grateful for a community that helped sustain the one, true, holy and apostolic church in the land of my birth and made the practicing of my faith and the opportunity tae have a Catholic education that much easier.

  16. I read the post earlier about the Bobby Murdoch statue being unveiled in Ruggy on Friday.
