Kieran’s premature deadline

There is no doubt Kieran Tierney wants to represent Scotland against England at Hampden in 11 days’ time, it will be an occasion to relist for any professional athlete, but this will be a game to far for many after an exhausting season. For Kieran, who suffered a facial injury on Saturday, it is a premature deadline on his recovery roadmap.

Right now, all the player can do is make the right noises and rest. By the middle of next week, he should have an idea what discomfort he is likely to experience at Hampden. Gum shields and masks can help, but a size 5 (or worse) in an injured face is not to be trivialised.

Believe it or not I missed him to start with, I spotted one of the ghuys from the bus and paused and rewound, I then found him and 3 others, however when I was showing his wee sister, when she came in from school , I noticed that him and his pal being highlighted for a few seconds. She is only 7 and is starting to think he’s on T.V, all the time, as I showed her lasts week you tube stuff from the juniors, incidentally she was raging at the keeper she wanted him arrested :-)) it gave me a good laugh.

Your bhoy sounds more sensible than his Dad. :-))

Great end to the season for Bankies.

Maybe A Mac is the messiah to succeed Budgie? :)

Interesting that Onyekuru went to Arsenal for £6.8 Million allegedly.

You have to presume he will get a game.

I wonder of our people are surprised by that or if we were still tracking him in the hope he would come to us?

    Interesting times.

So Onyerkuru to Arsenal and Solanke to Liverpool. Suppose it’s good we were interested in these types of players, hopefully we can land a few gems along the way. Cant help but think they would have been better off at Celtic in the short term, don’t think either will get a lot of game time at their respective clubs. Suppose money and the glamour lifestyle takes precedent.

Bruno Alves, released by Cagliari with one year remaining on his contract. A quick look at Serie A, they finished 11th but had the 3rd worst defence conceding 76 goals. Only the bottom 2 teams had worse records. He is a bit part player for Portugal, he played no part in the Euros win last summer. And he’s 36 in November. Basically an exotic sounding Clint Hill.

Jimmynotpaul, sorry for the delay in replying.

Your daughter sounds very sensible also . When my two children were aged between 6-9 , was my favourite time with them. They were becoming a bit more aware of thing but still had a naivety about them that melted me.

Junior is more sensible , he is not impulsive like me , opening my mouth then my brain functioning five minutes later.

The tribute act are signing tribute names to boost season ticket sales. The gullible mob are buying it. God bless Pedro and Fatima

  13. Solanke was going to Liverpool months ago. It was bog standandard hackery that had him coming to us

  14. DD…

What a week it was, it’s up there with Seville for me.

It was great to meet yourself and so many I already knew and a lot I met for the first time.

I have some cracking photos of the chapel and El Stadio amongst others.

It was a magical experience for us all.

I took great pleasure on showing the photos in work especially to the huns today. HH

Showed young T them and told him what a grand job you and your comrades did.

Billy if your lurking… Thinking off you and thanks for giving me the nod that night.

Delaney’s, my bankies supporting pal wanted shot of Kieran McAnespie after they lost 3 nil to ten man Maryhill.

The Bankies then did their own version of six in a row by winning their next six league matches to win promotion as runners up to Girvan.

Really good documentary about President Kennedy on the PBS America channel.

It mentions how the anti -catholic sentiment against John Kennedy was a big worry for his campaign team and him.

  16. I remember alves being decent against us a couple of years back. Not shy of dishing out a bit of clog as well, so an instant hero

Loved the fact that when I arrived in Lisbon, the first Celtic supporter I met went to Saint Thomas Aquinas with me 30 odd years ago. Hadn’t met since school days. Knew it was gonnae be a trip to remember then.

Alves played in the semi final v Wales. Probably still a decent enough signing but hardly going to turn them into 2nd best team in Scotland and no doubt on a large wage that they can’t afford.

    Lisbon is Green and White.

Send my love to L. She loves a blether. ;)

Delaney’s , this Alves guy sevco want has former deid club player , Pedro Mendes , as his agent . Mendes is also Caixhina’s agent.

Mendes may be latest one to make a lot of money from the easily duped at Ibrox.

Like many of us , we are still waiting to find out where the money for these signings is coming from.

I hope we get quality rather than quantity in when our transfers are confirmed .

Portuguese Mafia are chewing at the bones of the tribute act. Fools and their money are easily parted my mammy told me today.

    Delaney’s, very true.

Celtic by numbers , thank you for your match analysis and stats from the final.

It highlighted stuff from the game I never thought about but since reading it, the details you provided make great sense.

    Thanks again

Delaney’s , sorry to hear that about your mum. Your mum as great taste remembering Jock and Dean.

    Molly will keep on fighting.

My mum had the onset of dementia then suffered a ad urine infection which affected her badly.

She as been in a care home since, happy in her own wee world .

God night all , sleep well
