And from nowhere, our return to Celtic Park is to play the league leaders: Kilmarnock. Steve Clarke has a quiet demeanour but however he projects his ideas on the training field, he is vastly more effective than (arguably) any other manager in the country. Our record against Kilmarnock under Clarke is two draws and two defeats. For a club that spent half a century getting roundly spanked at Celtic Park, that is a remarkable stat.
Four wins in four games, all with clean sheets, means Killie will be confident of limiting Celtic to few genuine chances, especially when they review video from Wednesday’s game at Fir Park. It is, therefore, more important that we move the ball quickly and our passing game as as crisp as possible. This means a midfield with Christie, McGregor and Rogic.
Odsonne Eduard will lead the line on Thursday against Salzburg, but I am split on whether he or Leigh Griffiths will be best up front tomorrow. I would be tempted to play Leigh but suspect the manager will go with Odsonne.
We held a halftime lead at Rugby Park earlier in the season before losing in the final seconds of the game. Dropping three points from a winning position is always a sore one, the players will hopefully revisit that feeling tomorrow.
Celtic FC Foundation Christmas Appeal Bucket Collection
The Foundation undertakes work from Haiti to North Glasgow, but the Christmas Appeal concentrates on those in the UK and Ireland who need help at this time in particular. The many homeless who need cover and will benefit from a warm meal. The families with children without enough money to put food on the table and heat their home.
Those of us who live ‘normal’ economic lives will find extreme poverty is impossible to fully comprehend. Because of the Foundation, some homeless will be warmer, some children will receive gifts and feel like a normal child for once.
As you enter Celtic Park tomorrow you will see people shaking a bucket to collect for the Foundation. Bring some money along. The magnificent work of the Foundation is yours, done in your name, fulfilling the cause of your club.
Be a part of it and tell your pals to do the same. Thank you.

Condolences to you and your family on the passing of your uncle
Not wanting to start on a negative
Quite a few players have been criticised on here since Wed night game
Surprised no one mentioned Craig Gordon
His ball distribution was abysmal, at one point he tried to play out from his goalkeeper position with a ballpoint behind him towards the corner flag ( poorly played we gave away a shy about 2 yards from the bye line.
Now his playing the game with his feet pulls teams on top of us

Celtic, Celtic thats the team for me,
Celtic, Celtic on to victory,
They’re the finest team in Scotland, I’m sure you will agree,
We’ll never give up till we’ve won the cup and the scottish football league
They come from bonnie Scotland, they come from county Cork,
They come from dear old Donegal and even from New York,
From every street in Glasgow they proudly make their way,
To a place called dear old paradise and this is what they say.
Celtic, Celtic thats the team for me,
Celtic, Celtic on to victory,
They’re the finest team in Scotland, I’m sure you will agree,
We’ll never give up till we’ve won the cup and the scottish football league.
There’s Fallon, Young and Gemmell who proudly wear the green,
There’s Clark, McNeill and Kennedy the best there;s ever been,
Jim Johnstone, Murdoch, Chalmers, John Divers and John Hughes,
And sixty thousand Celtic fans who proudly shout the news.
Celtic, Celtic thats the team for me,

Re-VAR
Now that the SFA are openly discussing the possibility of it then now is the time to make sure that we do not allow them to be part of the Panel Making Decision. It would be totally useless to set this up if they then pick who they want to adjudicate the decisions. Totally Useless! por cierto.
Today’s very promising looking CQN Coupon……..

Pogmathonyahun – West Ham
Awalkacrosstherooftops – Leeds

Almore
I see from the article he was in Seville supporting Celtic in 2003
IWITS: i wasn’t aware of that. While still at school he used to sell match programmes outside Lansdowne Road before Ireland matches.
PC- Fleming and Co too scared to demote Son of Satan, i wonder how the rest of the refereeing ‘fraternity ‘ view Dallas Jr meteoric rise to fame?
How hard can it be to sort the Boyata situation? Give him £25k a week and a bung to sign a 3 year deal with an option to leave in the summer if valuation of £9m is met. 10% of transfer fee goes to him and agent. Thank you, next.
I’ve just found out from my mate that his 6 yr old daughter had a tumour removed from her brain in April.
We had lost contact mainly due to living in different states in oz.
The tumour was only discovered because his wife insisted on an MRI scan, doctors were trying to fob her off.
My mates attitude is amazing and he insisted that I told him about my family as we hadn’t caught up in a while, I tried to be brief but he enquired more till he knew we were well and what we were up to. This was happening as he was on the way to the hospital to see his daughter who was about to undergo her fith bout of chemo.
He told me how grateful he was that I called and all the other support they’ve received and said it’s just what life throws up sometimes. I struggled to maintain my composure such was his positivity and his genuine interest in my happenings.
For those on here that pray, I ask you to set aside a prayer for my mates daughter Estella

Got a ticket for Stoke v Ipswich wondering if they’ll trash their own toilets
Full strength team for today – same as last Sunday with Gordon simo and broonie coming in – sinky on the bench
I am heartened by the highlighting of both bent & incompetent Scottish Referees,
At this stage even the most rabid Orange MIB will be on their best behaviour.
The trick is not to let the fuss die down but keep the pressure on for proper reviews & the introduction of VAR.
WE are not looking for soft decisions just an honest game & a level playing pitch.
As I mention a level playing pitch there should no plastic pitches in the Premier Division. It makes a mockery of the game, that and nonsense like deliberately letting grass grow long & any tampering with pitches need to be stopped.
Can you imagine a League without honest mistakes, we could be winning trebles for years to come.
Dbhoy
Will do – she sounds like a little ?
Corkcelt
I am not confident that this will change anything – I remember when Fleming was appointed Paul67 penned an article of hope.
mmmmmmm
I will of course be glued to cqn for updates
Gene, I do sense the tide is at last turning. We will see, here’s hoping anyway.
Gene
Cheers
Estella can’t consume food normally and is being fed through a tube, she’s lost her hair and a ton of weight.
Every prayer is greatly appreciated.
