Leigh, Kieran, marking your card

596

The most important result in international week is that we get all our (33) players back fit and ready for Saturday. That looks to be the case, although I hear Erik Sviatchenko had a close shave at Hampden. The job now is for Ronny Deila to assess the preparedness of his squad for the Hearts game. All may be fit, but it’ll be impossible for the likes of Tom Rogic to be at his best after coping with a 12,000 mile journey home and the necessary body clock adjustments.

Ronny will also have to counsel Kieran Tierney, who has had another big week. Teenagers often progress in waves, after with each crest there’s often a trough. The focus for Kieran right now has to be 100% Hearts.

I read Leigh Griffiths had an uneventful game against Denmark. Don’t bet against him shining on Saturday. He’s a player who flourishes with a point to prove.

I’ve not written much on Resolution 12 recently and I don’t see that changing for a few weeks (despite the trolls), but I have been very active on the subject. Anyone who thinks I’d skip over this is welcome to self-certify as a mindless troll below (I’m counting on at least one being sufficiently mindless…).

What I’d like to do is mark your card on this one. Completely erroneous claims have been made. Outrageous things have been written. There’s a Kangaroo Court underway which would do Salem proud. Let the loons run with their agenda of running Celtic down, but be circumspect. Your card’s been marked.

You are being played, all right, but not by Celtic.

And you really should go after this one mate! So you view this membership based group as entryist but not its members and their (misguided?) self perception.

    =====================================================================

    No,sir.

The group has entryist intention and does not deny it.

The members have to examine their consciences .That`s for them. Not me.

I wonder how many of the membership understand the intrinsic aim of this organisation.

Precisely why I raise the point……………….and it uses this blog to promote it`s aims and tout for members.

Just trying to defend Celtic and Celtic supporters who are actually doing something about what’s happened.

….then threw an end March time limit post onto the blog.

It certainly had the desired effect of installing urgency but it’s also complete nonsense.

    ——————————–

WC – I think more than installing urgency, it (for me anyway) signalled that the trust between Auldheid, etc., (who were pursuing this issue) and the Celtic Board, and Peter Lawwell in particular, had been betrayed.

I don’t think I’m alone in this, but it did seem – and had appears to have been designed as such – to signal that Celtic plc had been “playing us”.

Is it surprising then that a number of people reacted to that “time limit blog”, and the request for urgent action (that myself, Jobo and others responded to)? The reaction was in support of the requisitioners, and in reaction to the implication that the Celtic Board had held pertinent information back from them.

In that light, I think Paul’s leader is harsh.

Being played, by whatever party, might be amusing, but it isn’t in my opinion a good approach – be straight, especially with those who back what you are trying to do, at all times.

Rangers were liquidated due to 20 years of unbridled unequal cheating on a galactic level.

We know that they were protected within the confines of Scottish institutions all that time.

Only their indignant supremacy and hubris facilitated their cheating outside of Scotland (HMRC) and led to their ultimate liquidatio9n.

Back to SCotland then. What happened.

Certain Scottish clubs not intimidated by hun thuggery wanted nothing to do with it. Saw it as the end of hun skullduggery. However, unfortunately, it was not to be. Celtic contributed to their resurrection. Its a disgrace. 1 billion pounds of fraud. 22 trophies won by cheating. Biggest loser. Celtic.why? Money. Thats why. Old firm money. You can keep it. Res 12. Fit and proper hunnery. Celtic treason. But naw you awe want it up the arse. Good luck.

I don’t think the last part of the article by Paul is helpful as it introduces an ‘us’ and ‘them’ air about RES 12. Us being those who support the board and Auldheid et al’s handling of the requisitioners’ concerns and them being the Trolls ie: anyone who questions the actions of the board and Auldheid et al’s handling of the requisitioner’s concerns.

I canvassed for and supported Canalmar and Morrisey 23, the two requisitioners in the autumn of 2013.

When in Feb 2014 I saw Auldheid saying on here that the supporters had been given feedback, and my supporters hadn’t (while at the same time I was shown e-mail feedback to others) I took the matter up with the requisitioner Canalamar as I didn’t lobby for support for Auldheid who seemed to have taken over the process.

The response to my polite inquiry was hostile and shocking and if those on here who think that the vitriol is all heaped on the two requisitioners (or the extended team that included BRTH and Auldheid) they should think again.

    ==========================

I recall there was some acrimony in an exchange or exchanges and I posted the following to you to try and explain the position. On re reading it, the point about trust is as true now as it was then. There was a communication breakdown from end December to mid February this year on a couple of fronts which created the very vacuum where doubt can take root. It serves no purpose at this point to elaborate but one of the many lessons to come from Res12 is the need for regular feedback to stop such doubt arising and this can be revisited later in a lessons learned environment.

Celtic chased up the requistitioners for a meeting after the last one on which everyone was updated generally or individually if they wanted detail and there is tons of that which had to be read in order to get to where things stand.

There is a further meeting at end of Feb when canalamar is in the UK.

It could have been earlier with his consent but given he was due back it seemed right to delay.

One of the problems that causes folk to get upset is that Celtic like to operate under the radar.

Their cooperation is needed to see this through and whilst it is understandable folk want to know what is happening that has to be balanced against getting a result that resolves the issue.

Nature does abhor a vacuum and because Celtic operate under the radar (and why is an issue is one you will understand ) it causes folk to give their own meaning to the silence and that is not necessarily a true reflection of events.

Two examples. On Res12 it only came out after it reached the agenda that Celtic had written to the SFA in Dec 2011. That had never been said before but if it had then claims that Celtic were not tackling the SFA could not be made. I think they could tackle harder but the point is they did ask questions but kept quiet.

On the OBB the response to the Open Meeting showed that Celtic wrote to the FM in April to be involved in the review of the legislation and the CEO had met the relevant Minister twice in June and Oct 2013 to present their and supporters concerns. Perhaps they will be accused of not doing enough, but the fact that they did act in 2013,even if unsuccessful in trying to get an earlier review again removes any argument that they are unaware of feelings and questions the strength of the one that they are complicit. The full response will I understand go on the CST web site.

Why the policy of under the radar operating exists is one that needs examined. Celtic must see some benefit in it but at what emotional cost?

The main cost is the lack of trust that results because of non-communication. That is not the policy on the part of the Res12 requistitioners but it is one that has to be observed to see matters through and whilst you might not trust Celtic the requistitioners need to trust them and we in turn need to be trusted by the shareholders who signed up that we are our own men.
