  1. Very well done to you all …the worst surface in world football…we mastered it today ….☘️👍☘️👍☘️

  2. A;; very comfortabe in the end. Missed penalty spooked us till the first them it was a good performance with the inevitable set piece error.

I dont think Srarfelt is good enough, but fairplay to him today, handled the physical side a lot better than the rest of the back 4.

3 points, another goal to add to GD…

    8 to go…..

  3. quadrophenian on

We came out with our tough boots on 2nd half; we seemed more determined to mix it when they did.

Some of these yellow cards given are a joke. First tackles from subs an auto card!!

Thon Walsh is a poor ref – even tho he got the hack on Carl right.

Men Of The Match in 1,2,3 order…

    CCV

    Carl

    Bitton

  4. Well done Celtic.

Sky sound gutted which is always nice.

    Big result 👍🇮🇪

  5. EL @ 1.06

AP vs CFC history — he is still in his short trousers.

The GB songbook in the second half was rampant militarism

I don’t think they can read a globe -=- not what we need at the moment.

JF — well taken goal so the progress continues.

Other stuff — shows that he needs to work on his confidence.

  6. It’s idiots like this who are spoiling the blog. The halfwit didn’t specify a clean sheet!

    “UNCLE JIMMY

    6TH MARCH 2022 7:30 AM

3 goals and 3 points please.

Relatively relaxed ahead of this one”

  7. That was a triumph for Ange

He got the team selection spot on, he picked a team to win the midfield battle and that’s exactly what we did.

Complete control there is some achievement, they didn’t have a clue how to beat us in open play today

  8. AW — commentary / summary efforts were a disgrace

Beyond parody — just at the wind up and well paid for it.

  9. onenightinlisbon on

Good performance and result. Moved the ball much better, excellent result.

Yet again the songbook from our away “supporters” was a disgrace.

“soon they’ll be no Protestants at all” and constant 70’s IRA songbook. Time to get a grip on this Celtic.

  10. Not played well for a while but that was a welcome return to form in a fixture Sevco would’ve seen as one where we could drop points.

Glad to see Forrest score and Starfelt did well.

Slightly concerning that teams need less chances to score against us than we need against them but that’s for another day.

Another game ticked off, goal-difference increased and a monkey off our backs.

  11. Excellent performance.

Work to do on defending set pieces. Still.

However, in open play we were very very good today. Could and should have won by 5 or 6.

James F best game in a year at least.

Jota was unplayable in the first half. Bitton was pretty much flawless throughout. Rogic really good until he tired.

Nice when none of your subs weaken you technically and arguably are upgrades on the guys coming off.

    Brilliant from big Ange.

3 points was the key thing but another goal to the good in the goals for column is always welcome too. Essentially we won the weekend in the race for the title. Away win. Goal to the good.

Couple of weeks without midweek football will also help us.

Really pleased with that. Couldn’t tell you who MOTM was. Nobody played badly. Probably Jota because he’s just class when he’s on it.

  12. Now Celtic please come out with a statement , that this surface is a danger to all professional footballers …

  13. Well done Celtic. Really good performance. A match I was very wary of.

First half, we totally bossed them.

Biton was outstanding from the get go. We have wasted him for years as a stand in Centre Half.

Taylor is improving all the time.

    Rogic back to his best.

Great to have a strong bench.

We had a bit of luck, but we are well overdue some.

Whats with the sectarian singing ? “Soon there’ll be no Protestants at all” ? Strange kind of Republicanism that.

  14. quadrophenian on

I find it hard to forgive the RA songbook on the basis that it ‘adds atmosphere’.

All the great songs and wit we could add to the songbook, but they go with a cantona rip-off.

    Neddish anachronism IMO.

Delighted with the points and the boosted goals situ.

  15. I really really really enjoyed that.

    Suasage with no commentators.

Our biggest away support giving iy laldy.

Supporting the team to the end.

Not reading in game bloggers slagging off everything and anything.

  16. Pitch was a disgrace — Sahara spec.

Surprised we got through the game without a pellet in the eye stoppage.

  17. Nice rest for us – Dundee Utd in the Cup Monday week andRC at home on the 19th.

They have 2 energy sapping Euro matches extra to play.

SAINT STIVS on 6TH MARCH 2022 2:01 PM

Do you call the non Celtic songbook supporting the team?

I’m sure the likes of Mada and Hatate would really feel supported by songs like that.

What about the Protestants in our support, in the team and worldwide? Great support aye….

  20. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Bhoyfromsky …

I hear you but I wouldn’t bother with if a statement when you can direct efforts to mobilising the SPFL to ban artificial pitches.

Bottom six would vote for it in a heartbeat.

That surface is worth 20 points a season to that club …

… They’d move from mid-table staples to relegation favourites immediately.

  21. Anyone coming on here to moan about the songbook after that result is for the watching.

  22. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

Great 3 points and a great psychological boost on a number of fronts. Very well done.

JF very good today. Big bonus if he can hit form for the run In.

  23. Japanese players go into the ddessing room, ask interpretrs what were them fans singing.

    aye right.

    they dont give a shit.

  24. glendalystonsils on

That’s as well as we’ve played recently . 3-1 flattered Livvy and we had the opportunity today to boost our goals for by another 2 or 3 . All that despite a shocking playing surface and some shocking refereeing .

The only black mark was conceding the cheapest of goals .

Pass marks to all the players today but a special mention to Jota , Tam and Jamesie .

  25. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Brilliant result.

    ———————————–

It’s a horrible surface and I want it banned but it doesn’t help Livi

They have won 18 of their 37 points at home and 19 points away from thePlastic Pasta Dome

ERNIE LYNCH on 6TH MARCH 2022 2:05 PM

So we should embrace the anti Protestant sentiment expressed?

We should be joyful about the IRA songbook?

The fact that we won and won well should not be used to hide the serious issues we have with a section of our support.

We are all quick to highlight the sectarian singing of the huns but turn a blind eye when it comes to us.

You cannot have it both ways…

  28. I cant comment on the songbook , I had the volume off, however if this is part of the repertoire “no Protestants at all”then those singing this are ignorant scum, they are going to chase neutrals away from watching Celtic, Celtic is not a club that is unwelcoming of anyone irrespective of their race religion or colour, I also doubt they belong to any faith community and do not in any way respresent me or my views. Hopefully the club deal with this now immediately.

  29. Auld men reminiscing in the 70’s conflict songbook — and now a lot worse — are for the watching.

Who is the GB songbook leader aff?

Does he have SKY on speed dial — mics set up for maximum GB inspired effect / nonsense.

Is he called Rod / has short hair / appeared from nowhere / owns a van / does the minutes / always has beer money?

We are being played and too many are happy to play along.

  30. Great result and good all round performance. They (Livi) are a big team (size) so no wonder it is difficult to defend from set pieces.

Thought Carl Starfelt and CCV were excellent and both now starting to bring the ball out deeper into opposition half to good effect.

Nir Biton was very good with some excellent long range passing. Greg Taylor was also excellent and he and Jota linked well. Jota had a very good game I thought. Anthony Ralston was a rock. Calmac not one of his best games and missed a penalty and a sitter. Tom Rogic gave them a lot of problems even though he does fall over his own feet at times which I think largely results from being so one footed.

Forrest was fine and scored a brilliant goal. Maeda still not integrated into the team I think.

Big Joe made one brilliant save but I think could have done better at their goal. Still makes the odd poor decision putting Greg Taylor under pressure needlessly.

I think the substitutes should have come 15 minutes before they did to give them more time to get into the game. They were raring to go but not much time to really influence things.

    MOM Carl Starfelt!

Aye but our players don’t care what the fan’s sing…….

  32. ernie

I have few concerns about our songs, apart from the wall-to-wall nature of the Rebs but……….

    The re-appearance of “Soon there’ll be……….”

is well worth calling out. The club can afford to tackle the group that is doing it ( I don’t believe the GB sanction this at all) as there is huge demand for away tickets
