  1. God Bless the Glasgow Celtic..to all Huns..Follow follow is up and running please remove yourself from this sacred forum…and dont let the door hit yer arse on the way out.

I dont mind Huns on here, they look on with envy and I can understand, however Paul/wnning captains is there a way to add (hun) to their name, not always easy to spot until the first couple of lines of their bile…

Can I just say bhud that I think there’s a big difference in the huns being issued a tax bill which could’ve been dealt with by a strategy to hmrc’s liking and the modern disadvantages of footballing life for the biggest club in Scotland.

As a support I don’t think anybody is burying their head, had Celtic been issued a tax bill our support would’ve made sure agreements were reached forgoing a league title or two.

  3. Tony… I am not labelling your loyalty as stupid as that would be stupid in itself. Does it make you make you more of a Celtic fan that you can afford to more games than i?

However, to label that disgrace last night as just as a loss and that we can all smile and move on…come on now.

There is something amiss at Celtic park. We are being led astray by those in a higher position. As long as the books are balanced and the bonuses are in order you and I are just a number. No respect is given to you or I or anyone for that matter that has stood there in all weathers and watched CFC. What I do find a bit ridiculous is that your prepared to back this regime when it is the loyal supporters that should receive your backing.

Tuaranga bhoy…no relation to John I assure you!

  4. Hebcelt. Good evening. To be honest you remind me of fans that sat beside me in the early nighties who went “tut tut ” when most fans wanted changed

Last year the pot of money for CL was estimated at 20m. This year UEFA are estimating 30m.

Yes same old same old problem

Peter lawwell. Eg when vic was sold great opportunity to invest. We didn’t and cash ended up on AGM balance sheet

No forward planning to increase income

We have needed to sign a goal scorer for 4 years

Hooper money was wasted on striker projects

Our youth set up is a joke and a massive failure

Our investment for last 2 years CL was a joke

Clubs with half our income in Europe have a football set up. We run as a business and only as a business. That plan is failing us

One of our chief scouts said last week that we buy only in hope we sell to EPL in two years

This is purely for financial reason not for football reasons

Fans are staying away because of PL

What do do now ? Well we had income streams and assests. From end of this week out only sellable asset will have gone and the CL income stream is gone

Peter lawwell is a failure and must carry the blame

It will take a few years to build up assets again and when we do we want a CEO who will trying and grab those income streams

This years AGM will be another one of stable balance sheets with Max bonus to CEO

But we have failed again on the park

Time to go lawwell you have failed again and again 50% success at CL during his time is not good enough

It’ll be Sunday lunchtime, because the club asked the fans and the majority of respondents said that was their preference.

Well done on adding quotation marks when mentioning Sevco in the same sentence as the word “back” when talking about The Scottish Premiership.

Anyone who doesn’t would be as well just calling them Rangers.

  7. What an arse that VVD is….fecking loves himself, legend in his own mind.

    Get him to…

    Only interested in the money.

    His attitude sickens me.

    Takes no responsibility at all.

    We don’t need frightened players.

    HH

  8. Go tell the Spartim on

    Big crisis for PL now

Once VVD goes in the next couple of days, there is no one in that team thats gonna be the next big sell.

I chuckle away at all the hun accusations that get chucked around, seen bigger heartaches watching Celtic than last night, including Neuchatel away, even Falkirk beating us in the cup etc, but not one thin dime extra will the PLC get this year from me. The added irony is that the first season ticket installment comes out this Friday.

PLC is run by self interest

Could be PL last big bonus as indeed VVD is last sellable asset

Income will drop in next few years as no CL and no sellable asset

Peter has done well for himself. Taken no risks , personal income maximised. Meanwhile team has suffered

  12. Turkeybhoy

Why would we get excited at the Europa League…When our manager says our players were frightened to play.

Why will that change all of a sudden?

If you have all the answers, why don’t you ring CP and offer to coach the frightened players.

You seem to know a lot about it.

  13. I heard he was dead on

What is incredibly obvious is that an AWFUL LOT of posters on CQN are unable to accept defeat. The Champions of SCOTLAND will sometimes qualify and sometimes not. Just like the champions of other small countries. I know Celtic represents something more than a football club for many but that remains the case even after a defeat to Malmo (or anyone else).

So, it is natural to feel down when our team loses. It is something else when that sadness of the soul has to be expressed in anger at so many who quite possibly do not deserve that wrath to be directed towards them.

It will take a few games and good performances before I sit happily at Celtic Park but sit there I will and I will still enjoy the good football that I have often see there since Ronny Deila arrived.

    JJ

PS I really hope TCR has a full recovery and is left without any mental scars. Hard to comprehend the nature of the animal who committed the offence.

  15. Lennon n Mc....Mjallby on

    Serious question.

Is there a board with an owner out there that could takeover what we have?

  16. I’m really starting to see parallels with Ajax. They’re revenue is like ours. They have a slightly more cuclic nature to their CL attendance that seems to be 3 years in, sell that team. 3 years out.

They need to get past Jablonec of the Czech Republic to qualify for EL after crashing out of CL in the round before us.

  17. glendalystonsils on

Ronny called it scared, he might also have called it self doubt ,lack of conviction or whatever. Leaving aside the technical merits of either team, there was definitely something far wrong with our attitude/mindset/confidence last night.

A collective failure of management and players in the preparation and execution of any game plan.

Players in key positions performed poorly, particularly Johansen who had his poorest game in a Celtic shirt IMO.

  18. Captain Beefheart on

And the comparisons to Rangers continue. Really depressing.

As is the notion that you are a hun if you question our direction.

We are heading for further decline.

  19. Turkeybhoy

I admire your spirit….but to be honest, most of those teams you list in the EL, would pump Celtic.

Because, we have a scared manager and team.

Now, how do we improve…..is the EL easy then?

Be realistic….nobody wants to see a Celtic team who are scared, how far will that attitude get us?

  20. Summa of Sammi…Its early days yet,but I think there could be some kind of ‘Do’ in Derry for him and the family…That’s what usually happens ,I will let you’d know if anything is happening.

  21. Greg15

I didn’t say I go to more games than you, or anyone else on here there are guys who come on here never miss a game home or away, so I don’t know where your going with that one?

As I said until they put me in a box or God forbid any serious illness that I can’t attend, I will be forever Celtic, YOU on the other hand can do what ever you choose, fill your boots, I’d like to see where we could go with……..

    The whole board sacked.

    PL sacked

RD and the back room staff sacked.

    Half the team sold.

And we go where after all

these bright ideas have all been done?

Gimmi a break ffs, get real eh?

  22. Go tell the Spartim on

    Jungle Jim

I dont personally agree that supporters cant take defeat, not even the manner of defeat, i think its the same underlying issues that prevent us from succeeding against less resourceful teams year in year out.

in my opinion it is lack of investment or a growth, in the team, system.

To me our ethos, is buy a decent prospect to sell in a few years, our scouting department arent that good at this, as the list of those who didnt make it increases exponentially every transfer window.

This year for instance, we had to replace two key positions that were filled by loanees last year, Boyata for Denayer (i actually dont mind Boyata) and Ciftci for Guidetti (what a kick in the haw maws that is). We sold Adam Matthews, and got Saidy, Bailley and Scott Allan, so our net spend is roughly £2m, is that proper investment, bearing in mind, 3 of those purchased where to replace players that left, either out of contract or loan expired.

The Einstein definition of insanity, is doing the same thing time after time and expecting different results.

Run by self interest, be it from the Irish Raj to his puppets in charge

  23. Beamishismypint on

Sadly the spine of the team was way below the required standard last night. We forfeited the million plus that could have been made made from a pre-season trip to America in order to prepare properly. However, there was a lack of defensive solidity, creativity in midfield and cutting edge up front. How we get from that to a team capable of getting through the final qualifying round next year is a worry. The CL offers us fans a chance to dine at the top table and the EL with the top deck closed just doesn’t get the juices flowing. Hate these mornings after a result like last night but life goes on. HH.

  24. Our manager has just told the football world, that Celtic were frightened/scared to play.

In all seriousness, how will this be addressed.

Can we continue in the same vein.

Its getting to breaking point, and I’m afraid, somethings got to give.

If we aren’t realistic….we will end up like sevco.

Now, you can all spin till the cows come home…..but that wont help.

If you love Celtic, you need to realise, that no man is bigger than Celtic.

    This cannot go on.

    HH

  25. One point worth making is that if the first leg had been away I think we would have went thorough. Losing the goal in the 95th minute of the first leg totally changed the dynamics of the tie.

  26. Parkheadcumsalford

You mentioned crowds of 20,000 earlier.

Reading “Caesar & The Assassin, I noticed the following attendances in the season Davie took over from Billy, ’83/ ’84 I think.

13.777 at home to Hibs in the League. (5-1, Saturday fixture).

5,485 at home to Killie in the League Cup ( 1-1 midweek)

19,000 at home to Dundee Utd in the League (1-1, Saturday fixture)

And in Billy’s successful first tenure with the club:

14,000 at home to Dundee Utd in the league. (3-1 midweek)

And the one that really caught my eye, a potential Championship clincher for back-to-back titles v St. Mirren, a bank holiday Monday in May, with a win guaranteeing the Title, 27, (that’s right, lady, 27,) 395. Two Seven Three Nine Five.

Average back then couldn’t have been much more than 20, 000, boosted by larger attendances at certain fixtures. I’m also aware of , erm, accuracy issues back then with the old turnstiles, but I was still a bit surprised.

  27. glendalystonsils on

As an aside to last night’s game, I have been pretty disgusted with the disrespectful and antagonistic attitude of the Malmo manager and his players since the tie was pulled out of the hat.

Mind games are one thing but that shower were a disgrace and I hope they get humiliated in the CL.

  28. Did I see someone last night advocate withholding ST money, then releasing it in return for shares given to fans organisations? Isn’t that Dave King’s idea?

  29. Pogmathonyahun aka Laird of the Smiles on

What are the chances of Celtic being drawn against Ajax, Legia Warsaw and Sion?

What happened to the ‘you heard it here first’ that Ronny had resigned last night, Overseasbhoy and Ryecatcher (your true nom de plume)?
