Celtic will face Maribor from Slovenia in the Champions League play-off round. Maribor, of course, played a critical part in the death of Rangers, when they eliminated Ally MsCoist’s team from Europe a few months after Craig Whyte took over from Sir David Murray. Having heard the 6-1 aggregate result against Legia, they are already celebrating the draw.
Maribor gave Wigan two hard games in last season’s Europa League, winning their home tie and causing the FA Cup holders more trouble than expected in England. They progressed to the knock out round before going out 4-3 on aggregate to Sevilla – a feat Celtic would not have been capable of. Right now, they should be slight favourites.

Mistertaximan. I think your view would be in the minority amongst Celtic supporters the rules are the rules and for whatever reason Legia broke them. Celtic have had a lucky break and it doesnt happen to often so I hope that we can capitalise on it. H.H.

Just watched the interview with henning berg on sky sports news. I feel for him but astonishingly the interviewer asks him if he felt it was celtic who made the mistake would the result have been different!!!!!! Np erg says that’s just speculation.

Thought Ronny was a stubborn fool for insisting on his 4-2-3-1 rather than the diamond formation, but if he’s going to persevere with it, bringing Sammi back is a no-brainer.
Celtic have really got out of jail here. After watching one of the worst performances ever by a collective group of players on Wednesday, I don’t hold out much hope for getting past Maribor.
It is time this Board backed Ronny strongly with serious first team players because the last 2 games for me, have shown that most of those players can’t be trusted to play for the Celtic supporters, if they have indeed had their noses put out of joint by Ronny.
We were lucky to only have a 90 minute journey home, we noticed a bus that was from Wales and the effort those players put in was totally unacceptable to all the supporters. IMO, most of those players don’t deserve to get a third chance to get it right but, somehow, a lot of them will against Maribor.
There is no excuse for not getting 2 or 3 first team picks in over the weekend, if not, then there is something badly wrong at Celtic Park.
