Tomas Rogic’s club, Central Coast Mariners, formally announced they had agreed terms to transfer the player to Celtic a few hours ago. The Australian attacking midfielder, who turned 20 last month, will require a work permit before the transfer is concluded, but should be a formality.
After having an extensive look at the player, Neil Lennon will think there is an excellent chance he will be a successful addition to the team, but it’s worth remembering that Victor Wanyama joined at the beginning of last season at the same age as Tomas and took six months before securing a regular starting place in the team.

I have avoided all YouTube clips of the player (which are notoriously misleading) but by all accounts he is an excellent prospect, however, he will need our support and encouragement as he settles into life in Scotland – especially if he acclimatises to the Scottish game.

Wow ….excellent …..thanks…….seemed to be a few bs after him…….well done to Neil PL etc
Back to work now ……..LOL
Clubs ………going fast !!
I’m confused!! Not difficult I hear you say..
How can anyone who is a season ticket holder not get a Juve ticket?
I can’t understand how that can happen unless you did not apply?
Very confused.
As for complaining about queuing and not getting a ticket, that’s what happens with public sales for big games – the tickets eventually run out…………………….Or am I missing something?
Looking forward to Saturday.
Michael
That message did treach us eventually but by approx 11:30 / 11:45 someone else announced that the previous message was wrong and that there are still tickets available although they are all restricted view. Shortly after that again, plod came along and told everyone that even though there may be some tickets for sale, the ticket office had now closed and we should all go home.
Needless to say, he was ignored and no-one moved. However, by the time I did get tolthe front, they were deffinate;y all sold, hence the name taking exercise.

When Napoli got promoted to Serie A in 2008 their first game was away at Roma
Of the 4,000 travelling support, it was later revealed that close on 900 of them had links to the Camorra.

Been unusually busy (for me) today, and just caught up with the day re. Celtic. People queuing from 4:00 a.m? in this weather? That’s dedicated.
But already flogging them on Gumtree/Ebay?
That’s just speculating.
Chancers.
But…a BIG but….times are tight, not everybody can put their love of football first, and making a bit of money when all the other wolves are ripping the entire country to bits is small beer.
And anyway….I got to be at the Barça game thanks to a good Tim on here, and the hospitality of another, my youngest brother. And there were plenty on here willing to help and give advice.
So, I’m not disappointed. I am amazed at the clamour for the glamour, though.
Mind you, Celtic Park on a European night is unique and probably the best footballing experience on the planet.

Sympathy for all those that queued up today and didn’t get a chance to buy a ticket. Seems a bit crazy if you consider the number of season book holders to allow up to 3 tickets to be bought on one book. Should have restricted it to two max per book.
Glad I am on the home scheme automatic set up as had to queue previously for cup tickets before enrolling and it was not a pleasant experience.
We do have some individuals who seem hard pressed to comprehend what sold out means and then not realise screaming at the steward and ticket office staff isn’t going to change that fact.

I agree with you highlighting young Tom’s achievement at the Nike academy – he comes with the highest credentials, not only as a footballer but, perhaps more importantly as an individual where I’ve read reports he’s a modest young man.
I do have a concern though that to see the best of him we’ll need to see a dramatic change in team tactics and that’s unlikely to happen.

don’t think anyone thought Vic was useless ..
Whoever thought it was a good idea to give 6 spare Juventus tickets to STH when only a few thousand tickets remained and who didn’t have the foresight to adjust this when they seen the crowds down and along Kerrydale street looking to buy them needs to answer from serious questions.
Personally I would have made them all buy a ticket for the rest of the season.
