What you and I have known for months was established as true by the BBC last night, Rangers improperly registered players for over a decade. Following the programme there was some bluster by a firm of accountants who clearly have a lot to worry about, but nothing has been said to dispute the dual contract claim.
The SLP have not added to their 65 word statement released ahead of the broadcast. SFA chief executive Stewart Regan has told the BBC the association will not act, unless called to do so as an appeal body, and SFA President What-school-did-you-go-to has not uttered a word.
Campbell Ogilvie was an executive director of Rangers when it carried out a dual contract system in contravention of the rules of the SFA. This is an established fact which is likely to have severe repercussion for the Scottish game and the club. It is inconceivable that he continues to act as president of the SFA, especially when it has taken the decision not to become involved, despite being the only body competent to investigate breaches across all domestic competitions.
He must resign immediately or be fired. If Mr Regan does not understand this he should be fired too. He is there to take the hard decisions, not to make friends. He has abandoned fans at the time they most need clear leadership.
Anyone on the board in any doubt about this matter must follow them out the door. The SFA is professional body with budget of millions of pounds, not an old boys club, and should act accordingly.

Good to see you posting Kojo. I hope all is well.
Hail Hail
So EBTs don’t make the STV News. Still it was a BBC programme so they wouldn’t want to give too much credit.
Duff and Phelps to sue the BBC? Just like Craig Whyte was going to …
KOJO
You picked a fine time to come back on the scene-I hope the medics did a good job.
A lot has happened since you’ve been away,if you need an update there are a few people who will be happy to fill you in,haha!
Welcome back……

My brother went to St Mungo – even posher
Great to see Kojo back you have been missed Bhoy. H.H.
Gene. I was taught by Bob In fourth in 76. Good guy and very hard. HH.
Stairheed. Holyrood changed to a comprehensive in 73 I think. It was a senior secondary prior to that where the posh thing comes in. I was a friend of Jim Loughren who got moved to Holyrood from Boscos. Great bhoy from the Gorbals. No longer with us. RIP. HH.

the BBC must be quaking at the amount of writs on there way after last night…0)
I wonder if Mark Daly will look at the SPL/SFA response next. There would be a good programme in that.
So was the BoS happy to subsidise Rangers spending? The wheels only came off the wagon when Lloyds bought them over and started to scrutinise the accounts? Was it in fact, the takeover of HBOS that turned Rangers debt into an urgent problem and pushed Murray into looking for a buyer?
And all this because Grier, somewhere, is in it up to his neck? I had assumed he was a friend of Whyte but is he really a friend of Murray, and (allegedly) advised Whyte re Ticketus to get Murray out of a hole?
Today is apparently the 40th anniversary of the first time the huns got themselves banned from Europe.
How lovely it is that they celebrate knowing that even if they do have a club mext season it won’t play in Europe.
Celtic should issue a statement saying they are consulting with lawyers concerning the implications for them from last nights BBC program due to the lack of recognition of those revelations from the relevant authorites and that thier preferred lawyers are Schwarz und Hoffner , European Law experts, Stauffner Str. 42, Zurich

Im calming down a bit but the depth of this is breathtaking, The quicker they die the better .
keep pushing Paul If Ogilvie goes the house of cards will start to fall
Thank you again

And the rest. Reminds me of BRT&H’s excellent article re BOS and Murray’s contact there, and their use of bank debts to pressurise other football clubs. More food for thought.

Off out now – Taking Mrs Gene out to celebrate our 37th anniversary today
till later
The programme last night should have been the death bell. The fact that the collective hive have decided to virtually ignore it confirms my darkest fears.
First the sham that is the Green bid will end tomorrow
Then Rankers will go into liquidation
The remains will be purchased at knock down by a group of ‘businessmen’ of a Rankers bent
The Wraith will be voted straight back into the SPL – maybe with meaningless sanctions
They are prepared for a few seasons on restricted rations (fat Sally has already been informed)
No creditors with get anything
No sanctions as the wrongdoing was done by the bad boys who don’t exist anymore (apart from their history that is- this will survive)
After the dust settles the old order will return – they are immune and they know it
Sickens me to post this- I hope I am as wrong as I have ever been
Dar days for truth and all the authorities have to do is……nothing!
Awe_Naw
It’s coming probably tomorrow, I’d expect.

Im sure i read somewhere this morning he was rumoured to be a school friend of Donald Muir The banks man on the HUN board.(alledgedly)
Just watched Fergus McCann on the link posted earlier. I think we should have a poll and get him back to unfurl the flag in August, he is now 71 how many more opportunities will we have? In light of our neighbours woes he saved the club and when you look at rangers woeful share issue of £50m where the fans only put in £1m he had the vision we needed, what would they give now for a bunnet, he is a celtic legend! What do you think?

The enormity of it is still to sink in, but I bet the surface has only just been scratched.
Has anyone been onto Blackburn forums yet to suggest that Souness might have been buying players Rangers didn’t want any more in return for loans from an EBT?

Murray is not saying, but instead of him being duped he has duped the rest of the Rangers board as I am sure he knew Whyte from the business world of buying/selling/liquidating companies

i am sure i would recognise the name – not Mr Poli
Rangers Supporter on BBC……………………………………………………………
“There’s been a few hands in the till at Rangers starting from the top up”
And from the bottom down….
No response to my earlier post on where all the material might have come from for the Mark Daly documentary so will need to speculate
It is rare for emails to be printed out – especially short responses of the kind published last night on the BBC website- they will tend to be kept in electronic form
Did a hard disc that was meant to be wiped get passed onto someone outside of Ibrox? This would expalin how so much data is available to the BBC even though no-one was prepared to go on the record

gd evening cqn
Paul may I ask, with these developments,do you think Celtic as a club make some sort of statement or remain Quiet.
H H
Perhaps the reason for the SFA’s inability to comment is that the UK Serious Fraud Office (SFO) are involved, maybe it’s all out of their grubby little hands now, just putting it out there for comment, any reputable organisation would want to defend themselves and they’re certainly in need of a defence.
No defender sfa

Just seen BBC news,
SFA……..it’s the SPL that will deal with it.
UEFA……it’s the SFA that will deal with it
SPL……… we’ve gave D&P a deadline. hahaha
Scottish Gov……..it’s for football to sort out.
Some SPL chairman………eerrrr nothing to do with us.
oh well that’s that then…….move on.

Murray is on record as saying that having debt is never a problem so long as you service it.
The problems arose for him when it became clear that the debt could NOT be serviced, and the bank began to take an ever-increasing chunk of the equity of his companies.
Accordingly, they had full access to the books, which had not previously been the case.
On paper, his property empire could thrive if the market recovered,as,too, could his steel division. Alternatively, parts of them could be sold to provide capital.
Rangers,on the other hand, were simply toxic, and haemorrhaging cash. And the future looked none too bright.
With the HBOS handshake boys out of the picture,Rangers had to go.
Just watched BBC – unfortunately confirms my fears- SPL have set a deadline for documents from Rankers……I waited for the important date…….”next couple of weeks” was the pathetic announcement – scary bloody deadline- Rankers will be in liquidation before that and any wrongdoing attributed to the past entity. UEFA – leaving it to the domestic organisation- Scottich Gov- governing body must ensure it doesn’t happen again- the biggest stitch up in sporting history and for Rankers to bounce back all the authorities have to do is…………….NOTHING
BBC sounding UEFA and SPL teams out about the cheats- at least someone sees the story in it
Vmhan
Was it paul murray who said he was asked to show the books to some agency and Phil Mac picked up on it.
3 players get sent off in a football match and politicians, pundits, police and journalists are fighting to grab a microphone to foist their opinion us. A major football team gets found to have defrauded the country of millions of pounds and what do we hear,,,? SFA

Greig was on Real Radio the other night talking with BFDJ.

“only disappointment was I didnt get to lift the trophy in front of the fans, who by that time had decided to exhange gifts with the spanish polis”
aye, like it was scarfs and tammies.
says it all is so few words.

I’m beginning to wonder if there is an argument where Campbell Ogilvie could quite seriously answer – there’s never been a conflict of interest on my part – and he’d be right…

Could it be a stand off between D&P and the SPL as to who officially brings them down. HMRC dont want too. UEFA neither nor it looks like D&P. SFA pass it over.
Would be classic Moonbeam think.
Explains Griers prescence all the way through.
Let them kill themselves .. see if they can ….Murraythink
Petulant to the bitter bitter end.

I think they are all still scared with the fact it’s Rangers who need to be properly dealt with, if it was anyone else including Celtic they would have killed them off already
