Although Rangers won their case at the Court of Session today, they have the option not to serve the ruling on the SFA that its Judicial Panel’s 12 month ban on player registration is illegal. Winning the point in law might sound like a victory, but taking the Association to court breaks membership rules of the SFA, rules imposed on all associations by Fifa.
We will find out soon enough the reach of SFA president, Campbell Ogilvie, who was one of the recipients of an EBT which precipitated Rangers crisis.
Rangers are deep in Sion territory now. Either they walk away from this showdown, the SFA expel or suspend them from football, or Fifa will shortly remind the SFA of their duties when a member club takes action in the civil courts.
Campbell Ogilvie was born for this moment; it justifies him holding onto his position all these months despite being “heavily conflicted”, according to his chief executive. I do not expect this to end well.
Despite an independent judicial panel ruling against Rangers, there is no way the office holders at the SFA will expel Rangers, no matter what they do. They would rather jeopardise the Scotland national team and every other club’s European participation.

Do the Aministrators really want us to believe they had no idea this would happen by them going to court? isn’t that what they are now saying?
I guess the people who believe that still think SDM was duped.

I would like to believe that if UEFA/FIFA bother to force a sanction on Rangers they won’t then stand back and be made fools of by allowing newclub to take the place of old club, dumping the sanctions.

I will say it again people. Fifa have stated rangers are to accept the original decision and face a further punishment from the SFA for going to court.
Has FIFA made a statement regarding this mate, just logged in.
If the SFA are terrified of the hun hordes & want a mug to pull the plug on the horrible mob, then:
I’m their mug. Gladly.
There I’ve volunteered for the role nobody else wants…geez a job.

I think everyone is giving Duff&Duffer too much credit. They have totally cocked up!!
The Green plan was bringing in players his syndicate owned and selling them on. Embargo scuppered this, Duff&Duffer ran to court with no idea what Fifa would do.
Oh! the SFA will be under pressure to relegate rangers.
IT IS NOT GOING BACK TO THE TRIBUNAL!

Please re read my post. Lookout for the Capital IF.

According to BBC news tonight FIFA want this resolved speedily.

STOPE IT…..I’m killin’ myself laughing’ here……
Every now and again I get the feeling that this has all been stage managed, that it’s been scripted to perfection by dark forces and that SR, ND, D&P and CO are all in cahoots. It’s happened several times over the course of this ‘administration’ and today it’s happening again.
So far though, I’ve never had to wait longer than a couple of days for the despondancy to lift as I realise that they’re clueless and flailing around desperately and FINISHED:
I trust that this time it’ll turn out just like the rest.
Big Chips.
Its been a carve up from start to finish! Newco was the only way to go. No debt, no double contracts, no BTC. Tomorrow’s SPL meeting will decide whether it is SPL or SFL3. That’s unless it is not too late for restructure and SPL2 just to pacify us?

Fifa spokesman has confirmed the SFA have been instructed that rangers must withdraw their action and not implement any court decision. He also confirmed SFA must take steps against rangers for raising the action.
Why are UEFA silent on all of this? Have they been knobbled by Huge Ph@llus??
Ragers victory in court to ‘buy’ more players, and propose to pay 9 pence in the pound to their creditors, all on the same day.
Youcoudln’tmakeitup CSC
Can’t believe the judge ordered the SFA to pay the huns!!??
Cooky1690 over on FF looks like the chap to clarify all this FIFA/UEFA/SFA nonesense

This was in regards to playing in Europe with In elligable players. Signed during embargo. Due to the fact we ain’t playing in Europe next season our case is different.

are they not secured creditors?
Oh dear did mr green forget about the debenture holders….?
Whom are first in line for any pay oot the tune of £7m ? Surely no:)
£8.4m less £7m
And the rest of the £140m creditors can fight over the £1.4m
67Heaven … BigChips…
Definitely some other reason used to pursue this strategy. Doubt that they would not have known about the Sion situation. So why? Big chess game which will ultimately result in more funds disappearing into the pockets of these wide boys. While the SFA and SPL sit by and allow it to happen.
Going back to tribunal is to acknowledge the civil law courts of the UK. FIFA cannot allow a member nation to accept that sistuation. All disciplinary matters would be open to challenge in court thereafter. Chaos.

Their intuitive understanding of the football world never ceases to amaze me…
Tiny tim,
you do indeed have a capital IF in your post, but reading your post,to me,it suggests that you believe a meeting has taken place, can i ask if you have that belief?,if not why not just say that you see Mr Green is spouting a lot of pish about any meeting, then again it was reported in the daily record
Why has everything taken so long?
Every single thing.
The Taxman. The SFA enquiry. The SPL enquiries. The route to administration. The administration process itself. A eleventh hour preferred bidder who had been watching from the sidelines all along. Player deals.
There has been no desire or, it seems, need to expedite any resolution.
Murray put the morass into a coma. Whyte switched off the machine.
They are dead to me. They should be to you too. Gary Hooper was the last Celtic player to score against them in a derby.
The establishment team are dead – and anything which comes after – bullshit attached or not – is not them. Murray and Whyte killed that ‘institution’ in the longest drawn out episode of casualty ever.
And now they’re shouting ‘clear!’ and charging the defib…
Dead to me.
Dead to you too?

In my view TinyTim’s position tells us all about his and his partner’s position. It doesn’t tell us anything about Celtic’s position.
You cannot make a universal law from a personal position.
If (business) life was so simple.
So….if, IF, the cva is accepted, they exit admin and then 2 weeks later the big tax case finds against them for £50m, what happens? Back into admin?
Tell me I’m havering …….is green getting iPox and the fiddler’s park for £4.5m?………….has anyone told Agent (come out, come oot, whereever you are) about rat….?
Cheers bhoys.
