Loved the statement issued by the ‘3 Bears’ last night. They protest that their offer to Rangers International was superior to the offer from Sports Direct, which was accepted. What the sharp-eyed PR wizard didn’t figure when delivering the statement, though, is:
The board need 75% shareholder permission to dis-apply shareholder pre-emptive rights and create sufficient shares to allow the 3 Bears to fund their proposed share issue.
Support of the Easdale proxy block is needed to pass this dis-application.
Knowing they needed Easdale support, when the board asked if they would drop the EGM resolution to remove James Easdale from the board in order to make their proposal viable, the 3 Bears declined.
Consider the conversation:
A. “We’ll fund a share issue.”
B. “That needs Jimmy’s agreement. Will you drop your plans to sack him?”
A. “No. We’re still going to sack him.”
B. “Can’t do, Jimmy’s not going to vote for that.”
A. “It’s all your fault for not accepting our perfectly well thought-out proposal.”
It’s astonishing how shoddy an operation these clowns have. I know no one in the media will explain the reality to fans, nor will they believe anything they read here. When populist instigators for change have no viable plan, a club is deader than Rangers (mark I).

I read about that a wee while ago.
My own response has been to liquidate my capital and buy a smashing wee “condominium” here in the States.
If it does really go mammary glands facing north, as many of the conspiracy nut jobs are predicting, I thought at least I’ll have a wee slice of beach paradise to sit on the porch and brew my own liquor of choice. If not, embdae fancy renting a holiday flat…? :o))

Kenny Dalgish said he never saw the statement before he insulted the Celtic supporters who cared enough about the lies being told in the media to do something about it.
All we did is tell the truth and in doing so expose the media for what they are. If they are right and we are wrong then in 2012 they all must have been wrong too. RIP Rangers indeed. Brass neck the lot of them.
I admired Dalglish as a Celtic player and as a man when he stood up to very serious lies in the press. He is now on the same side of this argument as The Sun and News International. The irony.

I lost a lot of respect for KD as a result of that interview. Bad enough if he wants to talk crap on his own behalf (even though he should know better), but even worse when he tries to tell us the same crap is or ought to be in our minds.
Seems KD has regressed since leaving CP. He had the chance to learn everything from big Jock, about being a great manager and man, but clearly didn’t.
Miss Prestonpans was “in discussion” on line with some Huns about our statement. I said ask them what part of the statement is untrue and also why is there no legal challenge to it.
That was over an hour ago and so far radio silence, game set and match :-)
