Record correct, SFA prepare to disband Appellate Panel

1122

This morning’s article in the Daily Record is not a work of fiction.  They reported that SFA chief executive Stewart Regan’s “bid to deliver a broad consensus over the way forward also involved discussions over the appellate tribunal’s transfer embargo on Rangers.”

In short, the SFA discussed changing their rules to disband the Independent Appellate Panel process before instructing Lord Carloway to sit in response to the Court of Session’s rejection of his previous judgement.

With two further Independent Judicial Tribunals still to sit in judgement on the actions of Rangers, for the illegal registration of players and non-payment of social taxes during the EBT era, the SFA will also subvert these rules before ‘Rangers’ are expelled from the Association.

After the meeting Regan left for his summer vacation without instructing Lord Carloway to convene the Appellate Panel.

That’s not all.

The scam to establish an SLP 2 in order to allow the SFA and SPL to co-opt ‘Rangers’ into that league is what the governing bodies have planned for your game.

If rules are changed AFTER a club is found guilty and in receipt of a penalty in order to nullify that penalty the game in this country is broke, ethically and financially.  Having established independent judicial panels to deal with serious rule breaches the SFA cannot do Rangers bidding without removing all judicial oversight.

We’re back to the days of George Peat walking in and out of hearings for the Celtic manager.

Most disturbingly of all, YOU are the cash cow for this outrageous enterprise.  With Rangers gone from the SPL Celtic fans bring all the commercial and television income into the game, and are set to buy more away ground tickets than all other clubs put together.

You are expected to continue to cough up for tickets to Tynecastle, Rugby Park etc, and subscribe to ESPN and Sky Sports – money which will divvied up among SPL 1 and SPL 2 teams, as well as they rest of the Scottish Football League clubs, to compensate for them missing out on a ‘Rangers’ game.

You will also pay more money for those tickets than any other group of fans in the league.  Why don’t you just write a cheque to Kilmarnock, Falkirk or Cowdenbeath today?

This nonsense will not bring another £1 into the game, all it will do is redistribute money from your pocket to clubs who care nothing for you.  Partick Thistle yesterday released a statement on their site, “We believe Scottish football needs to be restructured, financial distribution needs to be fairer for all clubs”.

“Financial distribution needs to be fairer”!  Patrick Thistle get to keep all their ticket sales, commercial and other income.  By “fairer” they mean they want some of your money.  If you agree with them, write them a cheque, but if you disagree, you better figure out what to do next.

Thoughts that some great victory has been achieved are premature.   Prepare for the next instalment.

Our domestic competition is, at best, uninspiring.  This disgusting land-grab for your cash will destroy our ability to compete in Europe, and it’s not just the senior team who will suffer.  The Celtic youth system costs millions to operate each year, don’t fantasise that it will survive intact.

Celtic currently employ 27 Scotland youth internationals.  They are almost single-handedly carrying the future of our national team.  This attempt to bleed your club dry will devastate all areas, with subsequent consequences for the Scotland team.

It’s not often I’ve told you the Daily Record have nailed a story but this one is on the money (your money).  I’m at a loss as to what to do next.

We cannot accept this.

I used to think we called them “thick” for a laugh. Is there any group of people on the planet that is so utterly devoid of grey matter? Have they any idea of the hilarity they are affording us? With all this celebrating, the only thing preserving my waist size is laughter – it fair takes it out of me.

  6. I have just come on after doing my Sunday duties and preparing dinner. I was looking forward to a nice lamb joint that I had carefully made non-succulent in order not contract pro-‘them’ e-coli. Now I fear I may not even be able to face the ‘treated’ meat as I witness the extreme emotions being expressed on this site. I had read Paul’s piece before retiring last night and I must confess to having the most disruptive night’s sleep in many weeks. I was more upset because my euphoria had reached heights that not even my wife has managed to induce after ‘hundreds’ of years. I had actually convinced myself that the rancid stink that had continuously infested the atmosphere of Scottish football was about to be finally eradicated. Fresh clean air at weekends and ‘midweeks’ was a real prospect and how my ageing lungs and ‘dicky’ heart had yearned for it. Then, as I drew my last daily breath last night, thankful that The Lord had given me another joyous twenty four hours and that all was right with the footballing world, in spite of the dreadful European game earlier on, Paul’s nuclear bombshell blasted me to the four corners and catapulted me violently and ferociously out of my bedtime reverie. A normally confused mind became a chaotic, demented, mental wreck inside my head. Utterly panic stricken, I frantically surfed and searched to find Paul’s rectification, his retraction, his renunciation, his anything. Exhausted and in despair I gave up after several hours and retired to bed seeking comfort in manufactured dreams of good things to come. This morning I awoke with trepidation but after greeting the Lord and having a ‘half full’ glass of milk, I was content that last night had been a disturbing mixture of hallucination and nightmare. I went about my Sunday duties, cleared the decks in the early hours of this afternoon and with the positive elation of an expectant father, I entered C.Q.N. fully expecting that all would be redeemed. ‘They’ would still be gone, gone for ever from our football world in neither S.P.L. nor S.F.L. leagues. Alas and alas! I read all of your sad comments. I see nothing of a recantation from Paul. I enter the realms of depression and despair. I am seeing an apocalyptic football landscape before me with stadiums now either mere shells or in total collapse and distraught football supporters, reduced to rummaging for scraps of sporting entertainment among the rubbish heaps of alternative sports. Please, please, can someone help to cheer me on this sad, sad Sunday afternoon?

Regarding the hairy hun along from the dugouts at ibrokes.

A regular poster on here lives near him and posted his name on here a few months back.I cant remember who the CQN poster was or the hairy exhuns name or where he lives.

My first memory of the hairy exhun was the Cadete goal at ibrokes when the myth left the technical area to celebrate a tainted goal that night. It looks as though the hairy exhun hasn’t washed, shaved or changed his clothes since.

    So to sum up……

The SFA, SPL and SFL are not interested in Scottish football, Scottish football clubs , Scottish football players or Scottish footbal supporters. They are only interested in themselves, their cliques and their nice little earners. They are themselves essentially brotherly huns in arms. Thats why they have come up

    with

    a) 2 SPL’s to save newco

    b) No remorse from the huns at having ever done anything wrong

    c) No punishment for the huns

    d) No vision.

Everyone knows it. Unfortunately the Celtic bored operate on the same MO otherwise we would have heard what they consider as to whats important for the future of Celtic, the future of Celtic within Scottish football and what they suspect will be any financial burdens on the Celtic support.

    Still not a peep.

Thanks for the advice guys but i think you may have missed my point. It is not Rangers I am bothered about. I am well aware they are a gonner. It is what the sneaks at Hampden seem to be planning for the new crowd and all the implications that go with it. We may know that a new club will not have the history etc. but, by God, they will still have the same support with the same refuse that hey have always carried and dumped on everyone else. If they are not completely obliterated from football, they will always be around. Wait and see. Mind you I am still drinking half full glasses. Only thing is the contents are getting stronger by the minute.
