Rogic’s next contract

929

Tom Rogic is well within his rights to take time to consider his next contract.  He is thriving at Celtic, but with a year left on his current deal, the future is open.  Front and centre of his mind, of all players’ minds, will be the dirty little subject.  The money paid to lesser talents than Tom in England is incredible, Tom is well within his rights to ponder his position in the food chain.

Then there is his place in the Celtic squad.  Brendan Rodgers is continually looking to improve the team.  It doesn’t matter who you are, you cannot be sure of a place well into the future.

There are also reasons to consider why Celtic might be a good fit for him.  He is not the archetypal English Premier League player, all physique and running.  Tom is a throwback to not so long ago when craft on the ball got you into the team, not the ability to burst a lung for 90 minutes.  All too often, he’s a 60 minute star.

Evidence is everywhere that he is a big game player and proven match winner, but he is not going to temp a title chasing team from England, instead it would be the bottom half battlers who are most likely to be interested in him.  He’s not a natural fit.  Better to stay with the champions.

BLANTYRETIM IS PRAYING FOR THE KNOX FAMILY on 25TH MARCH 2018 9:01 AM

They don’t want people to be openly Christian and that is their end game, to make people be embarrassed to promote their religion in any form

If we let that happen they will win

I’ll away and pick up my palms and pray for everyone with or without a faith

    ————————————

    Damn Leftists.

They are losing again, all over the world.

Holy Russia has returned to Christianity, hence the “Liberal” msm going into overdrive with the conspiracy theories.

That British Broadcasting Corporation is the worst of the worst.

Dangerous times we are living in.

  2. Wish the glitch on this site could be sorted out. Been over a month now. Turning phone on it’s sude to get page number then waiting on the block out page to stop jumping all over the place before you can hit a page number.

Refresh and it now jumps back to the top of the thread again….manageable short term but it’s been going on so long it’s irritating

….. and no it’s not my phone, it’s the only site that does it.

    My friends in Celtic,

Interesting articles about how the young generation in Europe are turning away from Christianity. This is also true for the UK , Scotland and Ireland.

The decline is fast and worrying with the trends showing irreversible decline. The consequences for us should be; that the CQN of 2067 should be celebrating 56 in a row with no talk of Catholic or Protestant graveyards which have been consigned to history. It is maybe inconceivable at present but inter faith Christian bigotry will die out; in football and beyond.

Got to say I can only see this happen if the new huns die and the blot they create on our landscape is gone forever.

This is a beautiful morning and I don’t want to talk about them today so a great day to all of you. I got a brick bought for me at Celtic Park for Christmas and went up to the ground yesterday to try and locate it. Looked at the amount of new pointing on the Seville wall and thought I’ll never find this. Luckily enough after only 10 mins there it was my name in all it’s glory on the wall at Celtic park. It was even at a good height for photo’s for me, the wife and the niece. Left the park feeling like a dug wi two tails. Magic stuff.

Holy Russia has returned to Christianity! (Putin)?

who are “they”of whom you speak?

After 50+years of adulthood i now find myself in the majority, according to recent polls, 53% of the population have declared to have no religious affiliation.

Young people in particular have walked away from misogyny, homophobia, and intolerance, which means all religions are dying on their feet,

    Nae proselytising noo! ;0)

By far the majority of ‘religious’ bigots I’ve encountered have seldom attending a place of worship. And many had little spirituality in them at all.

What utter nonsense. All people that attend regular home games would have been sorted for semi-final tickets. How did you come to this conclusion?. Have you read my previous post about my trip to the ticket office on Thursday? I have been sitting in the same season ticket seat since the North Stand was built. My three friends and I have been on the HCTS since it began. We fulfilled all criteria and attended all 3 qualifying games, I was still knocked back on Thursday. I see dumbhoy has also now mentioned the Morton attendance, you seem to be rather knowledgeable on the ticket allocation arrangements so can you attempt to answer myself and Dumbhoys point about the missing 1000’s of tickets. Sorry but your unqualified post was not what let down supporters would like to read. Regards.

All I’m saying is it is highly likely that everyone who got a ticket is a regular attender of home games. Nothing more, nothing less.

Whatever criteria was applied there were always going to be people left disappointed.

  22. Hi Celtica,

Thanks for the reply, been an analyst all my days and without numbers it’s really difficult for me to get my head round missing my first semi-final for many a year…since a boy probably. Asked for numbers at ticket office and was given one reply to the many information requests I made. This was that there are 22,500 on HCTS. therefore not enough tickets to go round, I wasn’t given any other information and told to write in for it. Morton attendance given as18,255, with approx 3000 Morton fans. If money is deducted automatically from 22,500 accounts and 3000 Morton fans paid for tickets did they get a cut of a 25,500 attendance or a 18,255 one. I know the 18,255 probably covers activated tickets but the unused tickets were still paid for. Apologies again for my moan but they really hacked me off as I pointed out before it probably means no Cup Final tickets for us now as they will go to attendees at the semi…..Hail Hail mate.

You state a simple fact, being that Holy Russia has returned to Christianity – something quite amazing I think, when one takes into account the horrors endured by the Russian people under the yolk of Communism.

Only for one of our many resident Marxists to spout some random baloney about President Putin and the KGB.

Short memories have some, forgetting the bad old good old days when working with the KGB was perfectly acceptable and even encouraged by a certain left wing organisation in Ireland.

Russia was Christian before the Bolsheviks seized power, it is Christian again and it will remain Christian long after President Putin is gone.

Who in the world has a problem with that?

  24. The Good Ship Celtica on

    Sandy Nista,

    Evelyn Beatrice Hall.

    And therein lies the difference.

  27. Oooooops

“Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered greetings to Orthodox Christians and all Russians on Christmas celebrated according to the Julian calendar on January 7.

A Kremlin press service statement quoted Putin as saying that Christmas “gives millions of believers joy and hope.”

Putin said the holiday accustoms Orthodox Christians to “spiritual origins and fatherly traditions, and unites them around eternal Christian values” and the “centuries-old historic and cultural heritage of our people.”

He also said that the Russian Orthodox Church and other Christian denominations have “made a significant contribution to strengthening high moral ideals in society, educating the growing generation, and solving vital social problems.”

Putin attended Orthodox Christmas services at the Church of saints Simeon and Ann in St. Petersburg as the clock turned to January 7.

Meanwhile, Russian state television channels showed a live broadcast of the Christmas Eve midnight Mass from Moscow’s Christ the Savior Cathedral.

Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill conducted the ceremonies at the Moscow site before hundreds of worshippers, including Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev as well as several other Russian government and parliamentary officials.”

    Pesky KGB…

  28. Funny how SMSM and other web ‘news’ portals link Celtic players with Brighton and Bournemouth and never the cash laden Chinese Beijing Renhe’s? for gazillions.

Last year Stuart Armsrtong was interesting Southampton and Dembele was Brighton bound, and Simunovic nearly went to Burnley. Bolton are certs to sign Scott Brown and don’t have the slightest of interest in the vastly superior Ryan Jack?

If only we invented some proper bids after all if Sevco can get loads for the same misfiring messiah including ‘a fifth and final ‘ © The Sun surely we deserve better?

But then least we don’t need to invent fake new improved contracts for players whose bids never existed in the first place, or be subject to ridicule when they nothing and nothing comes to nothing..

    Bring on he staggies CSC
