Ronny wasting his breath

731

Ronny Deila is wasting his breath when trying to warn those who throw pyrotechnics that they damage Celtic’s reputation. That fact is already well established but is irrelevant to those for whom throwing pyrotechnics is part of their football experience.

There is a clash of culture here. ‘The Man’, whether that be Uefa or the Health & Safety Executive, forbids pyrotechnics at football, but the consequences are visited on Celtic, not those who bring the pyrotechnics. No one has been brave enough to put their name to the pyrotechnic culture and I suspect no one ever will.

The last 24 hours has been a huge success for this unclaimed culture; it managed to grab some of the little space alongside the David Bowie news on Radio 5Live this morning, and many other places, adding fuel to the fire, if you pardon the pun. Someone is glowing with an “I did that” sense of achievement, although, of course, he’d never say so openly. It will continue unless the consequences are moved away from Celtic.

Cowiebhoy, it was in fact a maxi trench coat that I got out the Army & Navy stores and I finer coat I will never have it had more pockets than a brace of snooker tables and could conceal a cairry oot that would drown a whale. I have recently been googling for such a coat again but to date no luck :-(

Ideological differences on the relative merits of Werthers Old Originals vs Humbugs as the sookie sweetie of choice could lead to zimmer frames going flying.

And anybody arguing for sugar free- Werthers is just a hun.

Sad to say IMHO the club has lost authority over the support. Fudging their policy over the living wage, recruiting and football operations and Rangers ebts cheating/resurrection/saviour complex means ,for me, they stand for nothing and have no identity with the support.

The goose was cooked when Ogilvie’s re-election went unchallenged, and PL accepted a seat on the SFA board. Drip drip of tacit acceptance and impotence since then.

Daily and weekly batterings from the MSM about ‘needing Rangers’ and de-valueing the titles we have won since their death go unanswered. Any wonder morale is so low and people do not listen to them, even when they are right like today.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

It never ceases to amaze me how certain supporters manage to blame the board for everything that goes wrong. What a load of tosh. if these people don’t care what about what most Celtic supporters say, why in God’s name would they listen to the board?

BTW name one board of directors that doesn’t try to make money? Football is a business.

Oh dear, I used to always defend the Celtic support, not easy when you live in the North of Ireland, but I really do see an aggression in some of the away support that seems nasty and indefensible. Maybe I do look stupid wearing replica shirts at 57 (which I did throughout the conflict here) and this morning I did, for the first time in almost 50 years, feel a little ashamed to be a Celtic supporter. Yes, there are lots of examples of bad behaviour, the Hampden riot etc but I always argued that the dead club dragged the Celtic support down to their level. If they were gone the Celtic support would mature and move on. Yeah, guess that belief is well shot to pieces.

31003, the MABs could have 2 brigades:

The Infantry Brigade with their Zimmers and the Motorised Brigade with their Mobi Scooters (got my heart set on one).

Some sevs I work with were waxing lyrical about how good they are getting and fancy themselves .

Your light hearted contributions have almost been as funny as those sevs I work with.

If that’s how you feel, and the rest of the blog feels, maybe I should give it a rest. I will repeat, 31003 totally decried me and made me look a non Celtic Supporter last year. You’re call my friend. Personally, I don’t think he’s even worth a mention. Nonentity springs to mind. HH

The storm and the snow has had mega issues on the farm. Especially with the poultry. Been inside for a week because of fox threats. Thankfully our pet lamb has seen all the problems, weather wise, away. He really is a trooper. Let me do the biz the mo. Please. Things to do. :-)) HH

WeefratheTim, you’re a great Tim and your Celtic credentials are beyond reproach but come on mate you need to draw it in a bit. You have a lot of respect on this blog and I’ve never heard anyone saying negative things about you. You threw a wobbly last year, big deal, we’ve all done it. Let it go mate it’ll only harm you in the long term. HH
