Rosenborg a shadow of former self

874

Congratulations to Celtic, who last night became the first Scottish team to win a European tie since, Celtic, last season. While I am sure we would all have preferred to face Dundalk in the next Champions League qualifying round, a trip to Norway to face Rosenborg will be welcome by the club.

Rosenborg are not the same force we faced 16 years ago, and even that team was a shadow of the team who tested Real Madrid a few seasons earlier. The Norwegians succumbed to the inevitable forces of economic plunder, as clubs from richer leagues picked off their talent at increasingly earlier ages.

We should have more than enough in the tank for this one.

“Has exposing the corruption made a difference?”

I’m confident that by November it will be clear that it will.

One message coming from the SFSA event today was that the need to change how our game is governed will not go away.

The folk involved with SFSA are not blind to what néeds to be done.

A link to The SFSA survey can be found at

    http://scottishfsa.org/have-your-say-now/

This a watershed moment the once in a lifetime chance to change the game for good and even if you are skeptical think of it like this. To win a lottery you need to buy a ticket. In this case the ticket is free and survey takes abut 10 mins.

So please give up 10 minutes of your time to complete the survey. The more that do the greater the authority the SFSA will have to make SFA pay attention.

Watched the sheep game,if Ryan was a sheep player and we bought

him for £3m I would be thinking we had done a good bit of business.

    Good 2nd half performance from Sheepies. 2 -0 – 3-1 on agg.

MotM – Ryan Christie. 2 great defence splitting through balls for the goals, the second thumped home high into the net by GMS !

Didn`t really dare to hope that Aberdeen could do it tonight .

Seems that Brendan has singlehandedly dragged Scottish football out of the depths to which it has sunk .

Ryan Christie will go on to be a Celtic great. Needs to work on upper body strength but has skill in abundance and a deft touch. His technical ability is improving with each passing game.

Stopped paying for SkySports as they are destroying football with inflated contracts with EPL. Have you seen the transfer fees for a semi decent players ?

It’s a league that rewards abject failure – Sunderland were rewarded with £93m for finishing a poor last in their “best in the world” league. Celtic got £3m for our season !

Stop supporting England’s inflated egos and player salaries ! Your subscriptions are paying for them !

  14. Well done the Dandies.

The two best teams in Scotland are flying the flag in Europe despite the hun infested sfa.

Particularly pleased that young Christie is flourishing.

Also pleased for GMS hope he becomes a hunskelper for the Dons.

who should we loan to aberdeen and hibs ?

Going forward, both should be recognised feeder clubs to Celtic.

Will you stop supporting the team and players as a protest, because they helped Sky create this brilliant piece of television?

Would that beautiful pious man, who founded our club to FEED THE POOR, have celebrated the Trotskyist official IRA or the later provisionals who violated the fifth commandment?
