Scouted, background checked and experienced, Ajeti should succeed

872

Negotiations for Albian Ajeti have gone on for weeks but as you and I have said often enough, it is important to get your first choice.  Too often we end up with a player from well down the list, who did not do enough to overwhelmingly convince anyone.  That is not the case with Ablian.

The player was scouted for a move last year before his ill-fated time in London.  He is known to the manager, who will have sounded out Mohamed Elyounoussi for an assurance on things that are not evident from the stands.

Having played over 170 games, he is also more experienced than many we have signed over the last decade.  This is why we missed out on him a year ago, he was caught on the EPL radars and West Ham made what was for them a cheap acquisition.

These factors make Albian’s prospect of succeeding at Celtic higher than most recruits.  It is a pity he will not have some game time this weekend; let’s hope he is fit for this month’s challenges.

I agree but not all players are on big money. I am an SNP supporter but feel a bit uncomfortable with Jason Leitch. I feel he is enjoying his moment in the limelight a bit too much.

  2. JHB,

For once I have to exonerate the SMSM.Only this once,I would stake my life on.It was the odious Talk Sport,Dunbar I believe, who was saying what was the point of letting Celtic into the CL.Of course knowing our equally odious SMSM,they could have slipped it in somewhere that I missed.

    Hail Hail.

  3. OK,News just in.Think I will do a couple of “Philisms”here,

For the avoidance of doubt, dear readers,( D’ye like that ),this news has been received from one of my “Sources” in the fair town of Peterborough..With General Fry rolling out his tanks on the lawn of Ivan Toneys residence,in an attempt to coerce the boy into negotiating a deal with the various suitors vying for his signature, who knows the outcome.

For the avoidance of doubt, dear readers,I couldn’t possibly say.

OK,enough of that. The story is,that Toney has refused to even meet with any other teams,to discuss a transfer. At the moment,he has told Fry,he wants to go to Celtic. This has led to Fry,virtually pulling his hair out in rage.He has left Toney out of the games played so far,and is possibly the reason,Fry has been cajoling Celti

to up their offer.Rumour, has it,that Celtic, through Young Strachan, have told the boy to sit tight, and wait.

On this dear reader,I could not possibly comment.

  4. While I am STILL raging with that Chump Boli….but as far as I know the Aberdeen Players were not fined by the Polis but Boli was ?

    DAVID66…

We need to meet up again very soon for a good Bevvy…let me know when it suits you.

    Cheers and HH Mate.

  5. Big Jimmy

The Aberdeen players weren’t breaking the law although they probably weren’t social distancing. Boli on the other hand broke the law.

  6. Turkeybhoy

Brillant fella. You have a flair for that…:)

Hard to police wee cheeky WhatsApp messages between Strachan and Toney I assume….

  7. We perhaps need to be careful that we dont contradict ourselves when debating whether Football players etc earning £ 10,000/ £50,000….should be MORE responsible for their actions etc, simply cos of their job and/or wages ?

My example is…For arguments sake, lets say Morelos assaults a Celtic player on the pitch and gets away with it…we would be shouting that “If us ordinary guys did that in the street, we would get the jail etc” ?

Yet, on the other hand, we want Morelos and all the others who play Fitba and earn thousands each week, to act more responsibily…and are happy to see them treated differently because of their job and high wages ?

I cant believe that I just mentioned Morelos and “Play Fitba” in the same sntence !

We cant have it both ways ?

    HH

  8. Only time will tell us how much damage that Chump Boli has caused Celtic FC…but I do fear the worst.

Maybe because I am STILL fecking Raging with him…I am being more pessimistic than my usual outlook ?

    HH

  9. I agree with Chris.

The vast percentage of footballers, in Scotland, do not live privileged lives.

I reckon in majority of games, played in Scotland, in senior football, the referee will be the highest paid individual on the pitch.

Most footballers come from a working class background and are perceived as soft targets by the political elite. IMO.

  10. Guys we will have to disagree on the well paid footballers point.

They are role models and paid accordingly for talent and representing clubs on and off the park and are in the public eye.

Big Jimmy absolutely🍻🍺🍻🍺 I will text you over the next couple of weeks.

Garden work calling then beer then restaurant tonight for my daughters 30th….Jeezo I’m auld.

    D :)

  11. And right on cue,the Record comes out with a story about Toney, virtually backing up what I was told earlier.

My vast scouting network, have really got this nailed down.I will need to send him a few quid for a couple pints.

  12. According to the Celts Are Here” website,Celtic have said that the SPFL cann get effed with their punishments.

  13. Big Jimmy

Boli ….I want to stick the heid oan him…steal all his designer stuff and sell it doon the Barras for a Fiver !

    HH

& End up in the Slammer, nah Big Jimmy, that is not the answer to the MBomboclotty issue.

He should not be allowed, to pull one of our tops on again. & we should try & off load him,

by whatever means available, end of.

What is this I read that Brighton of HoveAlbion (The So Called Seaguls) are trying to pull a

stroke. Not only would we have to pick up Sean Duffy’s, weekly wage packet, they now

want us to pay them 2Mil for the Loan Deal, aye in their dreams, we can save that additional

2 Mil, & put it towards buying another decent centre back, who will make us rock solid @

the back. I’m affraid old Seaguls chap, the loan demand coming from your gob, is like the

stuff, that comes out of a Seaguls botty, when it takes off to fly in the sky.

Also, I hear & see on YouTube, that Charlie The Tax Dodger Adams & His Sisters Underwear

is bumping his gums saying that we have signed a dud referring to Albian Ajeti.

Is that right Dodgy, I hope what you say, comes back to huant you.

  14. weebobbycollins on

Why are they awe so feart o’ the huns? Is it that teenie weenie, tiny, microscopic minority that has them quaking in their shoes/high heels?

  15. Spanish Taxi drivers up in arms ,blaming Celtic Quick News, for a drop in their earnings, shocker.

Seems all the Barcelona team were “Driven to the Airport”by fans.

  16. !!BADA BING!! on 14TH AUGUST 2020 11:44 PM

Barcelona have spent €750 m ,since June 2017,only 2 started tonight

    _______

That’s unbelievable. To think that we moan about wasting money on buys that don’t work out. Gross mismanagement.

  17. JHB on 15TH AUGUST 2020 12:38 AM

Now that the SFA & SPFL have been instructed by Holyrood to throw the retrospective book at us & Aberdeen, we must increase the pressure to get the the facts on the Sevco Murray Park ‘incident’.

    _______

    Totally agree.

  18. I seen last night, that the Bayern Munchen FC steamroller, drove their Circus through the

Barcelona FC Defence, aye, what defence. All credit to Bayern Munchen, they had done

their homework on Barcelone FC, & truly did expose Barcelona’s FC achiles heel, that is

for sure. Bayern Munchen FC, is a very typical & well orginised German Football Club,

who pays very close attention, to the details on hand, & applies them very efficiently.

Even their Training Sessions, are second to none. Well done Bayern Munchen FC &

Good Luch in winning the CL for Season 2019/20.

As for Barcelona FC, well & I thought that we had problems @ the back, that display

last night, @ the back was something else, even the old black & white silent movies

about the Keystone Cops, could not have produced a better self distruction film,

that is for sure. Barcelona FC, the so called Supporters runned Club, seriously has

to look @ Defending properly, & acquiring proper defenders, & a proper defence.

That is why, I keep stressing the importance of being solid @ the back on here, or

we will, which we have in the past, been on the end of nightmare results, ones that

one wants to forget about, pronto. The Defence of any Team, is just as important

    as the attack.

    ___

I really liked listening to him at first, mainly because he seemed better at explaining things (especially compared to the halfwits in Westminster). He’s maybe becoming too much of a celebrity now and I’m sure he’ll be on strictly come dancing next 🕺

  20. Who’s now gone?

Gordon, Hayes, Bayo, Miller, Kouassi, Jozo, Forster, Hendry, Bauer, Arzani, Shved, Bolingoli (GTF) and Doohan.

    Shoogly?

Ralston, Benyu (?) and probably Griffiths.

  21. Chris Sutton absolutely spot on, in the article posted on here.

Happy 80th Birthday to the original Holy Goalie John Fallon! Have a smashing day big fella!

  22. Big Wavy, I had forgotten Benyu existed, Is he still on our books ?. He doesn’t appear anywhere on official site,

Went to Helsingborgs last year, now on final year of contract. He is a definite goner.

Yeah along with FanDabyDozi, in trying to drum up support, for we all know what, which will never

happen, why? Because, a lot, & I mean a lot, of people/voters in Scotland, do not want to break up

the Union. Perhaps the SNP (Sunday Night @ The Paladium) aye & it is a panto, with FandabyDozi

@ the Helm, could drum up support in England, pointing out that the English Tax Payers will no

longer have to fund free GinyPig Subscriptions, or Education in Scotland, if Scotland can get free

Independence, that should help their total amount of votes, numbers on the board, if they also

include England in the so called Indi Ref Two, wait & 3,4,5,6,7,8 etc -etc Poll. After all they (SNP)

did move the goal post’s by also allowing under 18’s Sixteen & above age Groups to be included

in said Referendum & here is me thinking wait do one not have to pay their Council Tax, to be

    allowed to Vote.

  24. How much to buy,Big Shane? If we did take him on loan for a year, its just kicking the problem down the road.If correct,2 million far too steep for a loan.Someone enlighten me,is that wages included? Not up to speed on this.Does he want to come permanent,or is he another diehard, that would rather have the money.

Benyu – Doesn’t appear anywhere at Celtic of Helsingborgs team squads?

    One of the disappeared.

Gordon, Hayes, Bayo, Miller, Kouassi, Jozo, Forster, Hendry, Bauer, Arzani, Shved, Bolingoli (GTF) and Doohan.

    Shoogly?

Ralston, Benyu (?) and probably Griffiths.

We have already let go of Hayes, who was played out of his natural position, & yet domestically,

he done not a bad job for us & the back, without bringing a solid replacement, which @ present

is still the case, which was a mistake, & now we want to make matters even worse, by also offloading

a proven Goal Scorer in LG, that’s like asking for a double whammy, in self distruct mode.

  28. Turkeybhoy,

If Shane Duffy was called Shay Duffius I don’t think we would be massively excited by his profile. Definite case of high, fenian bias glossing over his negative qualities. I would hope our recruitment team could muster up more vfm personally.

  29. AKBW1888

Hayes was Mr Utility man personified. Our season won’t rest on him being in the squad. Griffiths, unless you’ve noticed, is nowhere to be seen. No bloody use to us in that case.
