  1. I think Gerrad woud get a job in England before Neil. Even tho hes has won nothing to date. Strange times

Dermot at 70 has been shafted by the self serving CEO. He needs to sack him ASAP and put in someone as DOF to help new manager.

    ===================================

So Dermot would be a youthful 49 y.o when a liquidated club started using Discount Option Scheme? makes you think eh

The capital restructuring of Celtic in recent times is there for all to see.

If the 44% shareholder can vote responsibly res12 and upcoming 11 away he can take a bit for this too.

  3. glad the europa is now out the way , didn’t want to be involved in it anyway, we must win the quad treble and keep our eye on the main prize , we have to get behind the team ,everyone wants us to fail bar us , if we keep cutting ourselves up it will only get worse , we as a club/team have to stick together.

  4. Who will be injured/fatigued this weekend? Who will have picked up a mysterious strain in order to get out of the shambles?

    Eddy? Julien? Ajer?

At the rate he’s going, with his rep down there, it’s a matter of time before someone comes calling.

You do know we have Milan away and Lille at home to come?

More bloody embarassments against good opposition to savour….

It’s O.K. I didn’t take it as personal criticism. I agree that the manager has the rights you stipulated. But think how uncomfortable it must feel with the sword of Damocles hanging over you? I hope Lawwell acts immediately, Neil is mutually consented, and leaves with the best wishes of Celtic fans.

He is not going to turn this slow motion car wreck around. We have not played one complete game all season. If Lawwell leaves this too late, Neil will for evermore be remembered as one of the men who lost the ten without a whimper. Who would want that for a legacy.

Lawwell has painted himself in a corner with his despicable interference with BR’s ambitions. Now any manager worth his salt will inevitably call Rodgers to ask “What’s the scoop with Lawwell.” I doubt very much that be will receive a ringing endorsement. Our CEO has effectively poisoned the well.

  9. Go tell the Spartim on

Lenny will be mutually consented to protect PL’s ego.

We’ll get the usual pish the board are Celtic are supporters, bollox they’re capitalists first and foremost, getting paid out of our pockets.

I’m not confident that whoever they hire will renew optimism but it couldn’t get any worse if we do nothing

  10. This is from NL tonight:

“The performance was nowhere near as disjointed or as bad as it was three weeks ago and I felt we deserved better.

“It’s my job to keep with them and for them to keep with us to turn a corner.

“We can’t spook the players. You cajole them and you stick together.

“That’s what we’ve done and what we’ll always do. I’m not going to come out here and criticise them for a lack of effort or a lack of belief because there is plenty of criticism out there.

“For 35 minutes in the second half, that’s as good as we’ve played in Europe for a while. And yet we still got beat 4-1 and you’re left scratching your head why.

“They’re going to get criticised from all quarters so the last thing they need is extra criticism from any of us on the coaching staff.

“We know we have to be more consistent now. Not only game by game, but consistent within games.

“Right now it’s 30 minutes of good stuff then five minutes of shooting ourselves in the foot at times and we need to eradicate that.”

Gerrard going nowhere That includes Liverpool till he wins league

    Gerrard ain’t leaving

    Neil ain’t turning a corner

Players ain’t going to start playing

Peter ain’t going to give up control

Covid ain’t going to stop the season

And the huns ain’t going bust

So we need a Demond appointment a real manager who does not get bullied by Peter

    Agree 100%

Hail hail – night night all, play nice.

  14. We now have the equal worst defensive record of the 48 Europa League teams. Celtic, forever setting records.

I am one of the few on here to have time for Jack Hendry, but first saw him playing for Thistle, and then Dundee, against Scott Sinclair at the Park as it happens. Jack could turn and still catch Scott. Tall, good in the air, could attack the ball, and was capable of taking the ball forward out from a defensive position. Fair to say his time at Celtic was not a great success, and unfortunately his time in Victoria was curtailed by injury before Melbourne Mick could even run the rule book over him. Thing is if a player has all the basics how can he be improved? Lenny done it with Victor Wanyama, and he ended up at Spurs, Izzy too for a while, but has not improved one player at Celtic since his return, indeed most are going nowhere fast. never mind the EPL. Good luck to Jack, playing at a good level, in a good league, maybe even see him playing at the Euros next summer.

Yip! Back of the bus on every issue, since all seating became a thing, especially in the past eight year’s.

    And our enemies know it.

53,000 season ticket’s sold out, only for the t’s & c’s to be changed afterwards.

  18. Why did we again risk our best players on another covid trip – does it not sink in ? This is an extraordinary situation which needs an approach based on the reality that unless we start protecting players we are not going to get the 10 – simple answer to this, thankfully, now that we are dumped out Europe. Don’t risk it any more; concentrate on the league 100 %

  19. Tonight’s result has not changed the situation for Neil Lennon, other than add more pressure to turn it round domestically.

Celtic MUST go on a near-perfect run in Scotland until January 2 when they play Rangers at Ibrox.

They have a favourable fixture list to do so

  20. Watched a lot of the hun game… Wanted to see what the fuss is about as I don’t like watching them…. Tho with no fans there is no vile shit to bother me….. Anyway…. They are the hardest working side I’ve seen for a while… Non stop actually….. They are average… Players no great shakes….. But by fuck they work hard……… We are nowhere near their work rate……. Maybe that’s what lennon meant by culture change?!!

    —————————————————————-

Fairly obvious. We couldn’t afford another 4-1 doing.

Nothing much is going to change til we replace Forster. Travel full circle.

  23. DENIABHOY

I just can’t listen to Neil anymore. “We have to be more consistent?!” Hell’s Bells! We have been consistently awful since the start of season, and staggeringly consistent in the last 9 games, losing 21 goals and failing to win 7 of them. He has to cajole professional football players? After telling them they were lazy, the culture has to be changed, and that several of them want away to meet new challenges? Cajoling, rather than coaching, ain’t going to cut it.

He is failing, and flailing, his credibility is shot, and Lawwell needs to mutually consent him now. The ten is hanging by a thread, and it may already be too late. Surely even the self designated DELUDEDFRAETHEBRIG ( no disrespect intended) can’t believe this team, guided by this manager, will win a single trophy this season.

  24. CM @ 10.16

NL did not improve VW over 2 years.

VW’s talent developed / matured over those 2 years and he moved on.

One question — VW @ 20 years old — who would have developed him more?

    BR vs NL?

From memory NL wanted to play him at CB.

Not sure anyone else had the same idea so it might be one for the stattos amongst us.

It’s what you would do if you were offered the job, right? Due diligence would be expected from any credible candidate.

  28. Sevco lose 2 goal lead to Benfica second team

Wonder if Daily Record will be counting Electricians this week.

    That apart,disappointing tonight.

Question, irrespective of Managers so called lack of planning, what could he have done about their first two.goals, and Eddie missing a tap in.

Only criticism from me would be playing Ntcham, he does exhibit a could not care attitude, being bounced off tackles all night plus little tracking or effort, played to placate Eddie ?? Irrespective he should have been hooked.

Cant afford Elonyoussi in this kind of game, think he lost ball for 3rd or 4th or both.

So how can the Manager, any Manager, control that.

Let’s get focus on domestic matters as after all that’s what’s driving the unrelenting appetite to unsettle us.

The fans have let the club down.

The fans put their principle’s through the shredder in 2016, when “Fake” RFC came into our league, and fans paid the old price for ticket’s as if it wasn’t “Fake” RFC. Who cared? Brendan was here!

Brendan was treated with the traditional candour that’s usually reserved for Celtic manager’s with a mind of their own, maneuvered to the door, then pushed!

But the trophies weren’t his important achievements, oh no.

Getting the RFC, “Fake” fixture cemented onto the fixture list, with Celtic supporter’s paying the ‘Old Firm’ prices of old, and without one single whimper about trophy stripping, and the scheming PLC’s job was done!

Oh, and Brendan the diversion, for the easily mugged, wasn’t needed anymore, so he was gone, and a manager on a third of the wages replaced him, and the fan’s queued up for more, and more, and more….
