Stokes mentor Hughes and O’Dea at Dees

488

Anthony Stokes joining up with John Hughes for a third time, on this occasion in Inverness, would be a great move for all concerned. Hughes knows how to get the best out of the player, who is wasting away in the stands at Celtic. There will be a financial consideration, as unlike a team in the English Championship, Inverness will not be able to cover all of Stokes’ wages, but Celtic are better having a contribution to his wages than nothing.

Anthony is still only 27, he could have several productive years ahead, but he needs to get back to putting the ball in the net somewhere (last goal was against St Mirren in December 2014).

Also delighted to see Darren O’Dea back in Scottish football at Dundee. As we discussed last week, Dundee are full of goals at both ends of the field at the moment. An experienced international like Darren (28) will help.

  1. To be a Celtic manager….the players have to be sh#t scared of you.

    Did you read or see players having a go at Mr Stein(Jinky excepted) ?

    Or, Mr McNeill ?

    Or, Mr Hay ?

    Mr McNeill the 2nd time was got at by, wee super Joe Miller during a LCSF with Aberdeen coz, Joe was brought on as a sub then, substituted. Joe…like myself, couldny understand why, as a striker who scored almost every week for Aberdeen that, Mr McNeill tried to convert him into a winger ?…Big Billy played wee Joe in his natural position for 3 games in a row in season 1988/89, one was the SCF against the huns were Joe scored the winner and, probably saved big Billy’s job and, took the pressure off the Celtic board for another year.

    Liam Brady was thrown into an impossible position by a board of desperate men trying to buy time.

    Lou Macari was a thorn in the side of the, McStay, Grant, Boyd and Bonner clique.

    If, Macari was allowed to clear the clique out and, put John Collins as captain, he could have put a Celtic team onto the pitch that would have stopped the huns equaling Mr Stein’s 9 in a row.

    TB, embraced the cronyism-clique in the dressing room and, became another managerial casualty as a result.

    Wim & Murdo, got rid of Grant, brought in Burley and….Celtic started to win the battles on the pitch again.

    Dr Jo came with puppet strings and was, clearly in the wrong movie.

    Although, he should be eternally thanked for bringing in, Lubo and, Mjallby.

    Barnes and, KK were just….disasters.

    MO’N loved skelping huns and, his teams did as well.

    WGS was a puppet with lots of discord in the dressing room.

    Neil’s 1st season was guid….after that….cliques ruled.

    Ronny is out his depth and, hisny got it.

    John Collins has got it but…won’t be given the chance to show it.

    Cliques will kill Celtic…on and off the pitch.

    Cliques will kill CQN.

    Whit dae ye mean they already have….?

    …..zzzzzzzzzzzzz…………….

  4. My friends in Celtic,

    I don’t know that support of Celtic should be unconditional, but imposing conditions seems to be more popular.

    Cricket legend slams Rangers

    DAVID ‘Bumble’ Lloyd, the former England cricketer and celebrity Accrington Stanley fan, has taken to Twitter to criticise Rangers over their pursuit of Matt Crooks and Josh Windass.

    The cricket commentator sarcastically tweeted: “Glasgow Rangers…must have wonderful owners…great business ethics…Sound a real classy club.”

    Lloyd also slated Rangers for their dealings with the ‘smallest club in the league’. (Various)

  8. Scottish giants Celtic are desperate to strength their attacking options and according to the latest reports they are monitoring South Korean striker Hyun-Jun Suk who is currently playing for Victoria Setubal.

    The 24-year-old cut his teeth with Ajax and has had spells with Groningen, Maritime, Al-Ahli and Nacional, and has already scored 11 goals in 19 matches for the Portuguese side this term.

    Ronny Deila has been desperate to sign quality strikers in January especially after Stokes has been linked with an exit and with Turkish forward Nadir Ciftcis terrible form.

    However, Premier League clubs Watford and West Brom have been also monitoring 24-year old striker and Celts will face competition from them,

    ~~~~~~~~~~*++*~~~~~~~~~~
    “his former manager Billy Miller remarking that Windass “is very creative. He can unpick locks”. No doubt that will prove invaluable as Dave King seeks to open his sealed war chest in the near future…”
  11. I’v actually seen Tims post in here saying they feel sorry for the Hun fans?
    Me? I couldent give a monkeys about what happens to them, as long as it’s a long drawn out painfull liquidation, as I did wish them all the worst luck in the world that comes there way in 2016.
    They simply cheated every other fan in Scotland, along with a leg up from the SFA SPFL SFL LNS SMSM and every other durty scottish free mason b…..d in this country.
  17. Big Pierres 2 front teeth on
    Was reading back and see the comments about mulgrew, stokes, commons etc. Mulgrew should never play again, not because of walking off the pitch in the ajax game, but because he is abysmal. Don’t care how big a celtic man he is. Many of us are and aren’t getting paid to be a rank celtic player. Stokes I know personally and I’m glad to see the back of him in. Was out drinking with my mate most nights of the week then has the cheek to moan about going to the highlands and paid handsomely to sit in the stand. Bolt mate. Commons I have no issue with what he done I’d love to have gave those 3 diddies a mouthful like he did.
    By the way, does anyone know how the injury to Tierney is?
    I seriously do not understand how the feck he gets away with it.
    On the other hand, if ever in conversation with a hun, the best course of action is to offer sympathy and pity.
    They absolutely hate it.
  23. What is even more laughable.
    Is that Dungcaster, Regan, Ogilvie etc
    Do not have to account for their actions… that big idiot Mike Ashey, has to take them to court, to get any sort of answer from them.
    Only in Scoddland.
    Unaccountable masonic blazers, running football as if it was their personal plaything.
