So what did we learn yesterday? Primarily we learned that you can’t replace 8 players from a team which won 0-4 at Tynecastle while leaving the core element of the team in place. It is justifiable to be critical of the performances of experienced key players who didn’t perform, but Wanyama, Brown, Matthews, Miku didn’t become bad players overnight, nor did Tony Watt, what happened is the essence of our team – the system – was missing.
The effort was there but the focus which makes this Celtic team wasn’t. In many ways this was the perfect setup for a Champions League game against a team too many people are telling me we’ll turn over. Our Christmas Cup Final on Wednesday will require every element that existed against Barcelona last month.
The knives are out for Spartak’s foreign players, who are taking the blame for the clubs disintegration since losing at home to Celtic, both in the press and online fan polls. We may see a more Russian looking Spartak on Wednesday. Which will be no bad thing.

This was one of the replies to Adam which I found most effective. Adam, as far as I can see, has not responded to it ( he responds to some).
PS IMO, Adam writes quite well and not at all in the normal Hunnish style. It is natural that he would want to believe that his old team still exists. Anyway, here is the comment from Wings over ..
” You clearly haven’t understood your own point. Legally, the two clubs are completely separate. If they weren’t, they would have been liable for ALL the debts of the old club, not just a small fraction of them. You don’t get to pick and choose which debts you’re responsible for when you’re in administration.
But more conclusively: if it’s the same club, *why is it in SFL3*? It was never relegated on the field, and it was never demoted as punishment for anything. So how did it come to be three divisions lower all of a sudden? By what mechanism does a club disappear from one division and appear in another one without being relegated or demoted? The answer, of course, is that there is NO such mechanism.
I get that nobody will ever be able to make Rangers fans accept that the team they’re watching playing in blue shirts under Ally McCoist at Ibrox is somehow not the same as the one they watched last season. That’s fine. It doesn’t really matter. Something that Rangers fans consider to be Rangers exists, and if that delusion makes them happy then all well and good – it’s not hurting anyone so let them believe what they like. Much the same applies to the fans of Fiorentina and Leeds.
But trying to somehow rationalise your way into making other people believe that delusion is another matter entirely. You’re NOT the same club. If you were, you’d still owe the taxman £22m and Ticketus £27m. You’d still be in the SPL. You’d still have all the players you had last year.
But none of those things are true. Why is that?”

The second paragraph is , for me , the important one.

The said boaby tait was the guest of “honour” at hun dinner dance over here last year . Regaling tales of yore of his refereeing adventures . One of his fav yarns was to tell of the day at ipox when the cardihun instructed him “Boaby ye can blow yer whistle noo ,we’re never gonne f****n score !!!
I have to say that I have not enjoyed great parts of this season. I have to also say that “fools and bairns shouldn’t see things half done”. We are just going to have to wait until the end and look at the entire season in context. I think at that point we will have a lot to smile about. NB noticed Euan Norris refereeing ay Hvnbrox today. He must have been pleased.
Anybody with acces to The Huddleboard should have a look at the photies in the “Our support in the 70s/80s” thread
Some crackers there.
Adam was a regular poster on RTC. He was suspected of being a Media House plant.
Not a potted plant from Media House,of course.
He invariably was countered by reasoned argument and disappeared for a while, only to return when further negative facts were revealed.
A bit of a troll, albeit an articulate one.

Thanks for posting this.
This shows that Celtic are going to great lengths to make sure we have as many home grown players in the first team in the future.
We would make an amazing amount of money if we decided to cash in on our assets right now but that is not the way ahead. If we want to compete regularly for the biggest prize then we must have a team that consists of mainly home grown players.
The love for the Club within a player is essential if we are going to consistently challenge for the Champions League.

When you see Salmond sting the little hair he has left on his head mainly his eyebrows you have to question his judgement as well as worry about Scotland.

petec,
I saw the interview. I was urging everyone else of a Celtic leaning to watch it, to see what Mc.Guinness has to offer Celtic.
If he can deliver, then our emerging talent should be worth waiting for.
His talents would also go a long way in dealing with many of te concerns expressed here, re perceived atitude and committment.
