We don’t need no stinkin’ courtesies

1494

Scottish football has afforded defending champions the courtesy of a home game on the first day of the season to allow the league championship flag to be unfurled at the start of the new campaign for as many decades as I remember.

As this has, in effect, become a courtesy to give Celtic a home start to the campaign in as many years as my sons can remember, we’ll be at Tynecastle on the opening day of the season. Flag Day will have to wait.

That said, I like the idea of taking on Hearts away, then our nearest challengers, Aberdeen, at home. Come through this successfully and we will be in excellent shape for the campaign.

The Aberdeen game comes immediately after the final round of European qualifiers, so we have an opportunity to finish August in a real high – if we get the preparatory work done early enough.

Bring it on.  We don’t need no stinkin’ courtesies.

Jimmynotpaul, Talbot beat Clydebank 2 1 in the final at Rugby Park in 2009.

Since then the Bankies have won the Central League cup 3 times , the same trophy Pollok have won the last two seasons.

Did you know Denis Teirney who worked at Northgate? He told me he was the first Catholic to play for Benburb.

Went through something similar a while back……about 10 years ago though so things may be different now……and……i could just be wrong!

As far as i understand IF they are going to change your contract/terms and conditions they need to give you 90 days notice but that would probably only happen if you were refusing to change.

If you were happy with what they proposed, they would probably have your new contract in front of you to be signed asap.

The 90 days notice is meant to give you time to make any necessary changes to your personal life in order to meet your employers needs/or to give you time to get a new job…..or something like that.

As for the dayshift/backshift/nightshift working……if you do nightshifts and dayshifts, then id say it sounds like you are probably contracted to work any hours they choose for you to do between when that dayshift starts and the nightshift ends.

Like i said…..went through something similar years ago and wasn’t happy with what my boss was asking us to do informally, so she then got HR in and gave us written notice and that was that……accept it or leave.

Thanks for that about Clydebank, I thought they had come close but just couldn’t remember the details.

The name sound familiar but I can’t place Denis.

Of course with both my parents being Govanites, I know all about the Bens and the Ants. All my uncle’s supported the Rangers top wearing Bens, but it was the Celtic top wearing Ants for my Dad.

My mate used to play with the Talbot, he started out with Partick but had a terrible attitude (his words) he is as big a Celtic fan you would meet but the Auchinleck mob loved him, I think he broke all scoring records with them, chucked it before he hit 30 got fed up playing, I have never understood that but each to their own….

“Not true for Norway, so I can’t see why it would be true for the UK.”

The conditions I identified were taken from the link you provided on the condition for migrating to Norway, please check you facts before dismissing information taken from your own references.

On migration, I made it clear that migration was not my reason for supporting brexit.

It is you who has framed the argument around migration to imply racism in the same way the Indy supporters accused people of being unionists and aligned with the orange lodge.

I simply responded to your claim that nothing would change on migration if the brexit side won.

You provided a link and I identified the controls and conditions imposed on migrants that are different to people migrating within the EU. So I think you need to return to your link and read the whole thing rather than cherry pick from it.

  16. A politik free for all the day is it. Nae bother, here we go.

Thursday, and indeed any current so-called democratic elections will go the way the Rothschilds want them to go. Not just in Britain, but every country on the planet bar three that are not controlled by the world banking ring.

Does anyone in their right mind think they have influence ticking their wee box in the polling booth?

Such shall it ever be until the sedated and distracted world populace wake up and reject the malicious, highly motivated organizations that polute every country’s collective mindset.

Until then the political parochial, entrenched bickering will go on as a bizarre, sickening side show, while our freedoms as citizens and our individual rights as human beings are inevitably eroded further.

    That’s it in a nutshell.

Best way you can show them the middle finger is see the world first hand, while mingling with your global neighbour, realize that we are all the same folk deep down and have the time of your life in the process. “They” hate that.

  18. On a statement from the club.

They said they’d do it and never so that in itself is a pretty bad show.

Personally for me it was a line in the sand and season tickets were delayed so have now got worse seats than I would have wanted.

However I now think I was wrong.

Tactics have played a huge part in this in recent months and all parties – Res 12 boys, Celtic, SFA, CQN and others have all been indulging.

Even the stupid c. Buns got involved and spiked those ads which was brilliant for us.

Think back to stuff on Miss Karma.

Celtic could have played a blinder. That’s a very strong possibility.

Now I was called a liar and a mason for doing a wee bit to help or maybe hinder but I tried.

And I am no liar or Mason.

Tactics can win the game for us.

My eyes have always been on a prize and it has always been s slightly different one from the objectives of the Res 12 boys, noble as theirs is. I have also always told Auldheid and BRTH this.

And that alternative prize I believe frightens the life out of the football establishment.

    Interesting times ahead.

A few of Auldheids and BRTH’s posts have been copied and pasted on some of the other Celtic sites. Plus I met a guy from Coatbridge in Santa Ponsa who told me about it. Although I wasn’t sure how much he was saying was true, or coherent. He’d had a wee drinkypoo.

I promised my Dad some time ago justice would be done.

I long for the day I can go to the cemetery and let him know the cheating has been fully exposed, old Rangers fraudulent titles stripped and the SFA dismantled.

For sure, he’d be smiling in heaven.

A statement will be released in the next few days from us covering the story so far.

As I understood it the Plc were waiting for us to release a statement then they would follow suit, that may have changed, we are not party to the Pls’s strategy.

    Ernie…,

My sole reason for brexit is that I believe Turkey will be fast tracked into the EU.

And yes I was moaning about the influence migrants have on conditions and wages of the locals, however I did not as you imply, focus on international migrant, if you care to return to that discussion you will see I used my own experience of migrating north to Nigg Bay with many others from all over Scotland and how that affetced the pay and conditions of the locals. Not only immediately but for future projects.

  25. CANAMALAR IT LOOKS LIKE OCD OBSESSION on 19TH JUNE 2016 7:18 PM

So we leave the EU and therefore have no say in whether or not Turkey is allowed to join the EU, Turkey joins the EU, and Turks can then come here to live and work.

I have to say, as plans go, it’s not the most coherent.

  26. OK so we now get to the desparate stage as I’ve just put on an 11(eleven)-fold (with 11 X 10-fold 30pence savers) for all remaining group games (except Germany Nornireland) to have 2 or more goals. Not much to ask…

AS for tionight, as a draw in the France-Swiss game will see both go through I think the Albania Romania game will be the more exciting so BBC4 for me. A goal in the first 33 minutes and/or 6 first half corners….

You continue to ignore the information you provided, migrants travelling to non EU countries require to register their presence, provide proof of medical insurance and funds to pay for their stay, it was all there in black and white in the link you provided.

Personally I have no problem with migrants travelling for work and trying to improve their lot, I do have a problem with unscrupulous employers using migrant workers to reduce costs and conditions of the existing workforce and contrary to your ivory tower thinking, in the construction industry that is all too common.

  29. GREENPINATA…

Apologies for butting in just before the footie.

You are absolutely correct, I would imagine most of the blue collar workers in the construction industry will vote for Brexit. The Remain camp keep quoting the economy, but personal economy will be in the forefront of decision making for many.

There is a valid left wing case for Brexit epitomised by George Galloway, Dennis Skinner Et al.

    Sipsini,

I’m pretty sure you can demand legal fees from your union, to get an employment lawyer to review your existing contract and the changes being imposed. Your union might object but if you read the conditions of your membership one of those is to cover legal fees :)

They rely on members leaving everything to them to get things sorted and the best deals.

Unions no long represent their members they represent the best interests of the union and if that comes into conflict with their members interests then there is no contest, your left high and dry.
