This is when RD needs to show real mettle and guile.

You can’t plan for unexpected injuries to key players. You can though prepare for the unexpected.
Lustig not lasting the duration is not unexpected.

Ciftci hasn’t had enough game time to make an influence. We knew a suspension was inevitable.

The squad though is lacking substance at this level.

I have been one of JFs biggest critics but he was outstanding tonight.
Said to Nye Bevan at HT that I thought Malmo were rubbish, still do and have no fears about the away leg.

Atmosphere tonight was fantastic. The stadium as loud as I’ve heard in many a year.
Like many others I feel we’ve won the match but the last kick goal almost makes it seem like a defeat.
Big performance needed on Tuesday. I think we’ll deliver.
Don’t think I’ve ever seen wee Jamesie play so well. His tracking back was outstanding as well as hid forward play. Now, if only he would try a shot. Nevertheless my MOTM by a mile.
Good to see him coming back to the player we all hoped he could become.

Well done my Team on a decent performance.. Know what I can’t understand.. those who criticize our Team for conceding goals late in games, when they themselves pour out the stadium with 10 minutes or more to go. Dont they realize the lift it gives to the opposition, and how deflating it must be for our Bhoys. Support the Team right to the final whistle.. mibbie then we might not concede so many late goals.

I think it popped our momentum – one thing Griff is very good for as far as influencing others is his relentless enthusiasm for the contest.
As one of the last in the stadium, I can confirm those Malmo players celebrated like the trophy was theirs never mind a narrow defeat. It did look like classic premature exhaltation…

All three subs were sub par in the short time they played.
Three assists for SJ and he is still an infuriating player at times, maybe because we plucked him from Stromgodset…..oh wait so was the manager.
Three of our ‘best’ players were at fault for both goals, Lustig was poor in the air for the first Berget was unmarked.
Bitton and VVD got in each others way to clear the second.
The extended highlights with slow mo replays show things easily missed when you’re at the game.
Malmo are arrogant but have it all to do, and regardless of who we play, I always think we’ll score.
Like the Qarabag game it’ll be decided at the end of the second tie, and not what happened in CP, as
you say it’s only half time.
Sandman-agree, LG should have been kept on, I would have actually put Commlons on for him when he went off, they were not a physical team.HH
