A number 10

936

A journalist friend in Norway tells me Jo Inge Berget is a traditional no. 10, not a striker. We need both. Kris Commons fills the creative roll almost exclusively, we need someone to share the burden, but we still need a strong, penalty box striker, who can stand up to the pressures of Champions League football.

Best of luck to Tony Watt, best of luck to Standard too, who I hear have put a lot of skin in his contract. Belgium should give him a better chance of fulfilling his potential than anywhere in the UK. It’s head down and work hard time.

I spent a romantic evening in summer of August 1982 watching the World Premier of Blade Runner in the playhouse at the Edinburgh Film Festival with a certain Margaret Mc Gill. It blew me away it was awesome.

It has to be said (usually reserved for Celtic, by commentators) that this has been a fantastic Commonwealth Games……proud of my fellow Glaswegians …..the organisers are to be highly commended / congratulated….. and the spectators….wow….fabulous

  13. We have Kris Commons as our No.10, and he’s as good a number 10 as we could expect to have, at our financial level… We don’t need 2 number 10’s, but we do need good wide players, and a strong striker to lead the line, I.e Chris Martin of Derby County….hopefully the new Norwegian can do a job wide left or wide right..

  14. Celtic Fan survey completed.

Perhaps using a Survey Monkey questionnaire to collate inputs from CQNers might help with the site redesign project?

Survey completed as well, my biggest moan was over stewarding & police behavior inside the stadium. I don’t go to football matches to be filmed, if I wanted to be an actor I would have gone to drama school….

  18. Here’s a funny thing…

Hampden as a football stadium is crap because fans are too far away…

Hampden as an athletics stadium is great because fans are so close…

    There’s a funny thing…

  19. Just completed the Survey. Some complained that the questions were leading but I thought it was OK.

    The final question was:

Which one improvement could Celtic make to your experience of being a supporter?

My answer was : Ban the Scottish Media.

I was torn between that and : ” Show more support to those who have been unfairly treated by the police/stewards.

Waterworld – still one of my favourite books. The film was total pantaloons.

Worst book-to-film i ever saw was a late-80s rendering of Wuthering Heights.

Juliette Binoche was Cathy, and Rafe Fiennes was in it as well i think. Went to the premiere in Leeds. People were, literally, crying with laughter.

Ohhhh, Eeeezcleeeefe…. Tekk me to ze moooorzzz….

  24. Does anyone know if any city centre (Glasgow) boozer will be showing the game tomorrow. Thanks
