Well I suppose the Aberdeen support can console themselves that at least McInnes has now instilled some fighting qualities in his team …where is that when they play Sevco… shower of cowards who cheat their supporters …. get Ryan Christie back next season Brendan…

Had to rely on updates for the second half.
It’s been a long time since I went to away games but it was matches like todays that gave you a real connection with the team . A connection that prevents, me anyway, from posting some of the ridiculous stuff that appeared before the second goal .
Don’t want to bring the blog down after a fantastic win so all I will say is , isn’t it days like today why we are Celtic.
Cosgrove on the pitch for eight minutes before his red card elbows Jozo as he jumps for the ball and is described by Sky as a physically imposing player and in the same mould as the thug Stockley who spent last season throwing his elbows around.
His tackle on Brown should be treated as an assault by the SFA as he made no attempt on the ball and could’ve seriously injured our captain.

I thought Brendan got it spot on today. He had better not sit down too quickly as he may squash Pep McInho.
Glad to see DDV and the defence keep another clean sheet.
We will win this league by a 15 point margin – Minimum.
Good result and performance, considering all the travelling and hun media crap.
Watching the game, I was attempting to put a value on Broony, he was imperious today, as he has been for yonks. The guy is 100 per cent always. What a guy.
Have to say, I was not impressed by some of our singing repetoire today, just the sort of thing the meeja are looking for to crucify us. Need to stop that crap once and for all

Great win, albeit after a spell of poor football throughout 2nd half which got better after went downt to 10 strangely, adversity and all that. Now let’s go on a nice unbeaten run and not look back at this poor winter spell.

A bit of a Grind Hog Day but 3 points well deserved and Ajer is a player.
Good to see Dembele scoring, makes all the difference to confidence.
Tierney is a one off. What a supporting run and finish.

Never watched the game But a great win for us, After all the travelling done to Russia and back, I thought we would be a little jaded and maybe have come out of the game with a point.
I just hope that the players are barred from reading blogs, because Wednesday to Saturday was quite a hard read for me, but can you imagine if some players have a read at some of the crap that’s printed on here, it wouldn’t have been a good read.
Liked Brendan’s attempts at mind games in his interview. Talked of other teams having a year off! Playing without pressure, Only playing once a week for a long time, let’s see how they handle pressure now he says.
Here’s what I’d impress on Sevco – they drop any more points at all the fantasy that they are challengers is even less true. They are in a fight for second place. End of. Two or three bad results and they are in a battle for third.
Off to find the Brendan interview, it will be hidden somewhere.

More from Brendan Rodgers…
“Moussa (Dembele) is a big game player and we are at the stage of the season where he comes alive in terms of what the team needs from him.
“His pass on the breakway was outstanding – a lovely weight – Kieran (Tierney) finishes really well.
“For his goal, it’s well worked and a brilliant cross from James (Forrest).
Rodgers add that Mikael Lustig was “unlucky” to receive two yellow cards and is less than impressed by Aberdeen duo Sam Cosgrove and Shay Logan.
“It’s not a great challenge from the boy (Cosgrove) and Logan is not the best example for young players when he twice tried to smash the ball at the player on the floor. Fortunately for Scott (Brown), he didn’t hurt him.”

Only saw 2nd half but what I saw was a great battle by our Bhoys, not much football played but as has been said already, pitch was crap, windy day and sheep bashing high balls into box at every opportunity and being allowed to kick us around as much as they tried to kick the ball.
Logan should have seen red too for trying to decapitate broony.

Brendan calling out that wee bam Logan and also mentioning our “challengers” have been playing one game a week for nearly a year :-)
Hope when he sees Madden’s view of the clash of heads he calls that cheating hun with a whistle out as well

The water cooler will be a desolate place this week:))
Brendan calling out Logan is a smart move, it puts the incident out there and let’s see if the ever reliable Compliance Officer is awake:))

I agree the criticism of Lustig has been over the top.But today both cards were silly for a man of his experience.
As the legs slow down you need the brain to speed up unfortunately today both allowed down.
KT is an incredible talent and his lung busting runs are his best asset though recently we have not seen so much of.
The goal today was a KT classic.Hope to see many more.

From earlier.
I’ve always been a fan of Lustig and I wasn’t saying that he was a regular offender in collecting cards, but today, that was madness.
He brought it on himself with sloppy play and that wasn’t the first time he’s been sloppy with a poor first touch, miscontrol or wayward pass.
Still, compared to what mckenna, mclean and others got away…

You’ve played the game right?? The pitch didn’t help his touch and it bobbled, he let’s the guy in on goal or clumps him, clump for me every time:)))
Red card Starry as I was known:))
It happens, he took one for the team and then his second got him carded.
His clearance off the line kept our lead and overall he had a decent game today, what did Mckay Stevens do all day??
Didn’t hear/see Brendan’s interview what did he say about Logan?
Have been scouring the newsfeed’s for the( Celtic extend lead at top of league!) headlines.
Haven’t managed to locate them yet.I
‘m sure in the interests of fair balance they will soon appear.
