  1. Oldtim 67 – I’ve stopped reading after bad results. The over hyping of our poor form and Sevco beating a few teams lately isn’t good for the blood pressure.

Something people may have missed and I might be wrong about this, but I think spfl teams are better this year. They are well organised on the whole and harder to beat.

We need to be better but we also need to give credit to those who beat us or take points from us.

A second treble would be a massive achievement given the season that’s in it.

  2. One very happy (if relieved) Celtic supporter here. A very very important win. Thank you, Celtic.

    A couple of great goals.

But, that character who huckled our captain and the wee cheatin’ diving git, MacLean, should both be sine died. Everything that is wrong with Scottish football encapsulated by those 2.

Said that Logan wasn’t a good example for youngsters as twice after the ref had stopped the game he tried to boot the ball off an opposing player while on the ground, it was never accidental and totally intentionally (that’s my view but think BR thought the same :-)

  5. Logan is a total bampot. I think McLean is a total coward. Never shows up against Sevco but was clearly up for it today.

    :-)

I think we have (hopefully) around 13 games left this season, I wish you all the very best

And great stuff with last two pieces of great news

  7. I was going to say that thankfully we won’t see much more of McLean after this season but really we’ll just not see him for a year and the. he’ll be joining up with Sevco after he fails at Norwich.

    It is…his destiny…

  8. Genuinely think something needs to be done about the pitches in Scotland. It really is dictating what kind of football can be played up here.

Look at the pitches in the EPL – they’re like carpets.

The field my boy plays on was in better condition than Pittodrie. I appreciate Scottish winters can be tough, but not that much tougher than in England.

“Before the game on Thursday, I learned that I was to be a granda again.

Before today’s game, another daughter gave me the same news

    I’m dreading Wednesday’s game!!”

Well, to be fair, with Leigh Griffith’s injury record recently, he has had a lot of time on his hands :-)

  10. Broonys reaction after Logan tried to blast the ball at him was great.

What a Captain. Going to be the most difficult to replace in this team.

    Broooony, Broooony.

    Congratulations TTT.

  11. great result with a battling performance, teams that win titles have to dig deep and we did that today. Our defence was tremendous. Lets bury Dundee score a few against Morton have a week off and hammer the sevconians on their own midden. The pitches will be getting better we will be playing the same amount of games as our rivals. I think complacency had set in and we expected to win games without working hard well we worked hard today. Ntcham was immense out on his feet at the end.

Anyone know when Griffiths will be fit?

McLean from a dirty orange bassa family from Cambuslang….he’s not hiding it.

  14. Thanks for the updates guys. It was a lifeline today.

A great and massive three points.

    Hail Hail.

PS : Might have got the Zenit result wrong but this one was a no brainer. McInnis is the worst tactician in Scotland’s top league.

  15. I liked the attitude today. Grit, determination and persistence. Speaking of which and I mean everyone who posts or lurks, if you want to watch a game without worrying about the referees or rules being bent or our media ignoring cheating on a massive scale please go to this link and sign the petition that gives Celtic the right to ask for some transparency on the SFA Investigation into the UEFA 2011 Licence.

I’ll be repeating this post over next few days and it should surface elsewhere if enough folk care about reducing the cheating that pervades our game high, far and wide..

  16. I was quick enough a fortnight ago to lay into Ajer & Jozo.

Today Ajer was excellent so fair play to the bhoy, I’m correct

about the other lad not cutting the mustard.

Scott Brown – hats off to him again – will go down in folklore

Totally agree, also loved Broonys reaction when that thug tried to half him in two… Broony just faced our supporters and gestures to them

Total legend in the making and will have a few medals to show the kids :-)

Stuff that replacing him enjoy what we have, every single manager has kept him as captain that is some going not sure if that has ever happened, still love him going head to head with Lenny as a kid, Neil said that Broony reminded him of himself

Terrific praise, good enough for me :-)

  18. Yesterday, I posted that I hoped Thursday’s tin-men would be lion-hearted today. Not the best performance wise (certainly compared to the previous visit to Pittodrie) but the team showed grit and determination when it was needed especially after Lustig’s second yellow. Ajer playing on after his head injury, Tierney’s goal celebrations and Brown’s GIRUY to the Aberdeen players and supporters showed the spirit is there. Some others in the team/squad need to realise what it means to wear the hoops and can learn /be inspired by their team-mates.

    Cheers for replying.

Agree re positions that need strengthening- RB,CB hopefully a priority.

I’m very optimistic about the final part of our season.

I think the gap closing will actually work in our favour . It will sharpen our focus and banish any complacency that was lingering.

Players returning from injury and an improvement in the picthes should see a return to form.

I think the criticism Brendan received from some after Zenit was way OTT and he will be more determined than ever to prove any doubters wrong.

What better way than back to back trebles, sounds good to me.

  22. Great result today.

Not for the lack of our defenders trying to give something away.

    Brilliant from Broonie and Ntcham(p).

    Great goals.

  23. Guid three pts :)))

Guid backing fae the fans, apart fae the kidd on hard man rebellion songs, fae the back ae the bus :)))

N’tcham is the class player in the hoops :)))

KT is way above class, Danny McGrainesque imho :)))

Ajer is still a big raw bhoay, but he’s gittin there :)))

Brendan skelps yet another pub team manager :)))

Show me a Cellic team that hizny been cheated :)))

Broony is cheapening himself wi his playing to the Scooby-Doo! pyjama clad vicTims and their rivers ae crocodile tears about mibbery, backed up by his managers shadow boxing attempt at laying one of Celtic’s chain of commands toothless gloves on the institutional cheating, its part of the Celtic FC deception that they’re “your” dog in the fight, they urny in the fight, and, they never will be, because, they don’t hiv tae!

Why would they hiv tae ?

Awe they care aboot, is money – your money!

They know that they don’t even hiv tae work for your money – yeez jist haund it o’er, unquestioningly, despite every piece of crap that has hit the fan, not a question ?

See when ye bile it awe doon……what / who are Celtic supporters ?

Celtic supporters urny classed as Irish, but, as plastic Irish!

Celtic supporters urny classed as Scoattish, cause they don’t waant us!

Celtic supporters would ensure that we would be hunted out of England, because of the Celtic supporters penchant to, try to be kidd on rebel hard men / wimmen, with their desperate attempts to form a ‘rooted’ identity connected to and, enshrined, during the “troubles” fae back in the day!

Celtic supporters are, in effect, the children of nowhere.

Celtic supporters, will ensure that Rainjurs FC will always be here, because, Celtic supporters, like their PLC leaders, do not have the balls to hammer the stake through the evil Rainjurs FC’s heart!

    £49 ?

    Don’t get me started :)))

    Big Old Firm McGhee ?

See, DD, PL, BR, RD, KC, Fergus etc…

Chris Sutton is the necessary pain in the ass! CSC

WEEBAWBABBITY, hope ye enjoyed the day amigo, HH

    ……..oot.

    Zzzzzzzzzz

  24. What a buzz that was. We didn’t go two up front but Sinclair did try and attach himself to Dembele which almost paid dividends in the first half. I thought we mixed it up a little with some balls over the top which did cause them problems. They went for Kilmarnock type tactics in the first half anyway, they’re a poor side, long ball merchants. The difference between their effort and application against us compared to the Huns is shocking.

The first goal was very good, link up between Ntcham and Rogic, Jamesy did superbly and credit to Moussa. The second half was scrappy, it suited them, they humped it long and got on the second balls aided and abetted by Madhun. Our second goal was just raw, pace, power and what a finish.

Lustig looks all at sea to be honest, an accident waiting to happen. Brendan will need to make a decision there. Jozo is good and bad, some good moments but rash and poor decision making at times. Ajer was outstanding again! I thought Ajer, Ntcham and Dembele were good all surpassed though by Broonie who was simply magnificent again.

Credit to the players and the Manager. We had a few ropey moments but we dug in and fought. That’s all we can ask of them.
