    the only passing that happened in the midfield today was square ball stuff

     

     

    until Rogic came on that is at least he tries to go in the right direction and has a bit of class about him

    I will take it need to just keep hanging on and get some sort of real pressure on the rotten mob

     

     

    I will comment again on DT just not impressed by him after a bit of flattery when he joined his fitness levels are poor and not getting better to my eyes .

     

     

    But I suppose the midfeild was pretty anonymous today.

    Thought Aberdeen players went down so easily today – they tried to draw contact and if there was the slightest they went down. Obviously Madhun give the FK every time so they were rewarded for their cheating a like they knew they would?????

    How did Madden cheat!??.he had an excellent game I thought

    Aberdeen FBs repeatedly committed fouls, no cards.

     

     

    Struggled to see why Turnbull was carded. Jota persistent fouling no less frequent that home FBs esp the RB who fouls Kyogo near the end.

     

     

    Only surprise was Jota not seeing second yellow for goal celebration.

     

     

    All these wee things add up. The home defenders keep fouling till they get booked. Our MF had two on cards affecting their ability to commit to tackles.

     

     

    On another day in similar circumstances we would’ve been reduced to 10 and prob not won.

    There is such a thing for Referees as game management. Cheating to you and me.

     

     

    Clancy last week and Madhun this week.

     

     

    I’m sure this has been highlighted before about referees in fair old caledonia.

     

     

    How can you have say 70% possession but give away more fouls and more bookings than your opponents etc…….

    A fullback who’s never in position when the opposing team attack on the flanks.

     

     

    Scales at left back would also strengthen us aerially. Too many goals lost this season from our missing fullback position.

    The only time Celtic seriously challenged the referees they threw a queenie fit and went on strike. We were then punished by them for the rest of the season. If we go after Madden the referees will close ranks. I remember Craig Thompson going on a 5 live weekday daytime show and telling the country how we were questioning their integrity, like it was some sort of criminal act.

     

     

    I’m not suggesting we do nothing but referees being the type they are if we publicly challenge their authority we’ll suffer on the pitch. Nothing is surer

     

     

    We need to be a bit smarter, and stop giving him and the others the chance to give fouls against us. Not always easy and a bit counter intuitive but if we’re to play the high pressure high press gave we can’t allow the opposition a breather that a free kick gives. Or the opportunity to throw crosses into the box with all the jeopardy that brings

     

     

    I’d hoped they’d be able to hear me shouting at the Telly but unfortunately not

    I’ve previously explained my opinion of his low level cheating (subtle but effective) …

     

     

    … and am happy to do so again.

     

     

    In the meantime, I’d ask (genuinely respectfully)

     

     

    If you can find a SINGLE example

     

    – anywhere

     

    – in the top 50 leagues worldwide

     

     

    of a team having twice as much possession as their opponent

     

     

    but committing nearly THREE TIMES as many fouls?

     

     

    … I for one will stop posting about this guy.

     

     

     

    Evidence of cheating on its own?

    A statistical improbability that happens often?

    Fair points well made.

     

     

    After the game I did comment that Dons RB Ramsay spent the first half trying to get Jota into trouble by throwing himself to the ground at the slightest contact.

     

     

    All over the park Aberdeen players were hitting the deck whenever a Celtic player touched them. Aberdeen were cheating. Madden was just too soft and gullible.

     

     

    Beating them 2-1 was a big GIRUY to them all.
