Thanks.
Only a cheat would have given a red for something that LOOKED bad but wasn`t.

The honest mistake will be overturned on appeal. That was not even a foul. Ridiculous. Hope Hibs hold on.

Hibs and Porteous have to appeal that red card….manky hun bastards.

When I made the reasonable point that we should call out the officials it was also implicit that it might deter the obvious player cheatin’ as well…………………
This afternoon’s latest evidence just adds some credence to my earlier point.

Wasn’t it the same referee who sent offf Callum after Kamara stayed down for minutes. They cheat to get players sent off.

Thank you for the link.
From the position on the pitch both the 4th official and assistant referee are highly likely to have a clear view of the tackle.
That outcome occurs in just one stadium in Scotland.
Hibs getting the same warning as Celtic earlier.
Don’t be aggressive or else.
Far better for you to be passive and just take what’s coming your way.
Even Chick Young can’t explain it apparently. Who is the Ref.

The “St Mirren Fan”………..should be very familiar with the concept of cheating.

Maybe I seen it wrong. Not seen it back but he went in studs showing that must be a yellow for dangerous play. But as has been said who knows the rules anymore .

I presume Porteous got red for
“SERIOUS FOUL PLAY
A tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent or uses excessive force or brutality must be sanctioned as serious foul play.
Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play.”

Sheley Kerr and Neil McCann both agreed that it was a Red card.
Obviously these unbiased experts on Ranger TV are correct and I am wrong.
They then tried to show how unbiased they were by saying that the Ref was correct when turning down a Sevco claim for a pen when the Hibs defender had made a perfectly good tackle that would not have brought comment from any neutral pundit outside Scotland.

using the serious foul play law, the tackle of ktoyo was also a lunge.

I guess it depends what examples referees are given when learning how to interpret the rules.
‘Endangering safety ….. excessive force …. lunging’ – plenty of scope for interpretation. If there is no contact is Aribo guilty of ‘simulation’.
Is it possible that there can be a red for Porteous & a yellow for Aribo for the same incident?

Bear with the perverse logic here but apparently we are 9 points worse off than this time last season. Regardless of the outcome today at the home of the cheating champions, it goes to show how a bad run of games can completely turn a season on it’s head.
The logic? Well, what I’ve seen of the deady bears this season is that they flatter to deceive. Points will be dropped and I think January is going to be a very important month in the title race.

McGinn yellow now. Ref earning his pints at the lodge.
Got to say first watch I thought offft … it was shocker I Think ref assuming contact the way he went down !
Don’t think he had a good angle
But the linesman is looking straight at it he should tell him no contact. It’s a yellow for dangerous play at worst .
