Moonbeam, can totally get that ML holding it down but always injury prone or else emergency CB.
Still think we need an out and out defender to lead the team Kolo doing very well but need to bolt the back door

Scott Sinclair is a player born to play for Celtic (or maybe Brendan) who cares we have him, would love Paddy R to sign king term as they are both good for James F
Completely in agreement with your assessment. We desperately need real quality in the central midfield area.
Also Sinclair is real quality, so impressed with everything about him. You know how highly Brendan rates him to put him straight in against Hearts. Apart from his obvious attributes, lightning speed and quality on the ball, his movement in between the lines and into space is different class, and his work rate as well is brilliant. Once him and Paddy are firing it will be a treat.

Long time bugbear of mine,that.
Two central, one wide, another halfway up our half. Leaves us seven in our box. Take out the five to mark them, the corner taker and their keeper,we are 7v4.
Effectively WE are attacking THEIR corner.

far far too many passes across the back ,why do we have to make as many passes when a more penetrating ball into feet up front would be more beneficial
New RB with Kolo, Sveichenko and Tierny and it’s a pretty solid 4. With ML for a 3 if and when required.
I’ll be greedy though and also request a hard as nails, no messing, ball winning, simple passing midfielder in the mould of NL and a Paul Lambert please. Thanks.
Thankfully Brendan has the kojones and sees that. Thumbs up :-)

Lustig was so poor today, for their goal, when the guy got the ball he has got to go and get tight, he stood off and gave the guy a run on him. Horrible defending. He can’t move his legs quick enough, it’s been a problem for over a year and it needs dealt with. All teams that play against us know it’s an obvious weakness and will target that area.

Be sloppy in possession?
Ach……its ok……we will get it straight back anyway.
Don’t work on the defensive aspects of the game?
Ach…….they will either miss or we will score more than them anyway.
I wonder if there’s a wee bit of a lazy attitude towards certain aspects of the game from some of our players.
Playing in better leagues these guys know that they cannot afford to be like that or they will get punished, so it probably becomes a minimum requirement that even the forwards know how to work defensively.
Loved Toure today as well for setting off a few rockets in the direction of players(Bitton and Dembele?)that he felt should have been doing more.

Lustig is no right back, solid enough at centre half but never a full back

Being greedy?
Not at all D.
A new right back is needed urgently and the opposition know it.
Lustig is far,far too weak.
Hapoel Be’er Sheva knew it and so did Aberdeen.Fortunately Aberdeen weren’t good enough to capitalise.
Playing the ball across the back is fine 30 yards out to halfway in your own half to draw out opposition. Today we attempted it far too often on or inside our own box with Broony withdrawing into the area leaving few options to get back out. A very dangerous tactic.
Our players obviously need to learn this basic flaw.
