For the life of me can’t understand how we can have such quality from middle to front but have such poor quality at the back

We really only play with two defensive minded players. The two centre backs. So, I don’t think we can categorise by saying middle to front. I think our two first choice centre backs are very good defenders but the way we play, we’ll be exposed at time. I would like to see another centre back, who is good and is taller than what we already have (plus good in the air, of course). I thought Rapid Vienna towered over us and as good as a shorter player can be in the air, the big 6’5″ guys will out jump them at crucial times. Very good first half today. Large support up from Blackburn. Actually, I don’t think they had as many for the last real game we played them in Europe.

I would never ask the club to spend money it didn’t have,
The problem the board and P67 have is when the team is short of quality in certain positions yet won’t strengthen even though the money to do so is there.
That can only be regarded as wilful neglect and why P67 is then thought of as a Comical Ali board stooge.
P67 can make really good arguments and points but some of his pro Lawwell spin would make Alistair Campbell cringe.

I was referring to Paul 67’s recent article which brought attention to the looming Champion’s League group stage thrashings that we’ll likely be on the receiving end of because Ange ball approach is naive and will likely be massacred outside of the Scottish midden environment where Celtic have more resources than the rest of Scottish football combined, like shooting fish in a barrel.
When Celtic go into the CL since the Lawwell era began we are the fish in the barrel, we shouldn’t be but we are.
Since the Lawwell era began Rangers have been in 2 European finals, be it £49 Rangers, £50 Rangers, or £53 Rangers, no matter the price Celtic fans will buy these tickets then sing about Rangers having died?
