  7. Rovers fans…….

I dont think Ive ever hear THAT so called National Anthem sung SO MANY times in one match by the opposition support…

Rovers fans…What an absolute Shower……..I dont think they have any/many Rovers songs to sing !

  8. “SETTING FREE THE BEARS FOR RES. 12 & OSCAR KNOX on 16TH JULY 2022 5:23 PM

Just caught the golf commentator saying that “Fanny used to help him concentrate.”

Never caught which stick merchant he was talking about.”

Nick Faldo`s caddy was named `Fanny`. It might have been Nick`s name as well.

  9. For those enquiring – KT still very much first choice Left back at the Gooners and Zhivchenko both a very good deputy and also comfortable playing left hand side of midfield…

Tavares was a really poor signing even as back up and will be punted..

Good morning all from Govanhill. Big Jimmy, you should have got a taxi ya daftie. 😂

  11. Ange alluded to it. in his after match comments. Players are being driven hard in training,

Not the ideal preparation for playing games but this excessive training will taper off and the emphasis will change to having players in peak conditions for games,

Currently we are seeing 20plus players getting game with an obvious drop in quality as we delve deeper into our resources.

So in other words results at this stage mean very little, I suspect that Ange might start the Norwich game with our top team injuries apart, & maybe give them an hour before we have widespread changes, that will be the closest pre season game to judge our prospects.

However even that will fall short of competitive Football,

  12. I was pleased to see this reported:

“Speaking about the rugged opponents, O’Riley didn’t hold back as he said: “They were feisty, a bit nasty and left a few on a few of us.

“Tony’s boot was split in half, which says enough, but it was competitive and it’s what we want.”

442 PARK THE BUS on 16TH JULY 2022 5:45 PM

Paul 67’s recent article regarding how much we’ll need to rein in the Ange ball approach was either a mask slipping moment or he realistically shares my fears about what will happen to Ange ball as soon as we step out of the Scottish midden environment.

Some say that if Ange is getting the NFL 2nd time, Brendan, Ronny, NFL 1st time, BTM, WGS, MON, etc, transfer window PLC ‘Slow Lane’ treatment then Ange will walk?

    Yeah, walk to where?

Screw the nut park the bus don’t get mugged CSC

    ——————————————————–

The problem with reign the spending in approach is when the financial results come out and we are hugely in the black, as is the norm.

I would never ask the club to spend money it didn’t have,

The problem the board and P67 have is when the team is short of quality in certain positions yet won’t strengthen even though the money to do so is there.

That can only be regarded as wilful neglect and why P67 is then thought of as a Comical Ali board stooge.

P67 can make really good arguments and points but some of his pro Lawwell spin would make Alistair Campbell cringe.

    •••••••••••••••••••••

I was referring to Paul 67’s recent article which brought attention to the looming Champion’s League group stage thrashings that we’ll likely be on the receiving end of because Ange ball approach is naive and will likely be massacred outside of the Scottish midden environment where Celtic have more resources than the rest of Scottish football combined, like shooting fish in a barrel.

When Celtic go into the CL since the Lawwell era began we are the fish in the barrel, we shouldn’t be but we are.

Since the Lawwell era began Rangers have been in 2 European finals, be it £49 Rangers, £50 Rangers, or £53 Rangers, no matter the price Celtic fans will buy these tickets then sing about Rangers having died?

Only a shower of dicks would do that.

Maybe it was Celtic who died whilst Rangers walked away from the biggest fraud ever?

Celtic supporters where EBTed out of 20+ trophies.

Celtic PLC did nothing about their fans being EBTed.

Celtic fans financially backed and continue to back the PLC who didn’t back fans or shareholders who were EBTed, not a response, nothing.

“We’re surprised” is no response at all.

Do you think Rangers fans would’ve sat there posting selfies on Fakebook if they were given evidence that Celtic and the SFA, etc, had EBTed Rangers out of 20+ trophies?

Celtic fans in 2020 are silhouettes of the rebellious Junglists of 1994 who with fenian piss dripping off of their trousers they didn’t have libraries packed full of evidence that the Kelly’s and White’s had signed grubby Old Firm retention deals dripping in the toxic slime of betrayal to screw Celtic fans out of 20+ trophies, NO NO NO, the Kelly’s and White’s were a lot of things, but they where never as toxic as the 2020’s Dublin masonic golfing cartel who pull the strings of 2020’s Celtic PLC.

It is Celtic who died, NOT Rangers.

Rangers didn’t die because Celtic fans don’t have the balls to install an executive who’ll put the bullet through the head of the barking toxic rabid Old Firm dog.

Rangers be it £49, £50, £53, maybe when it’s £55 daft Timmy will get up off its arse and say….

“ENOUGH! NO MORE OLD FIRM! SACK THE CELTIC/PRO OLD FIRM PLC!”

    Tick, Tock.

    ————————

Everything you said about the board is completely true.

That’s why in a few years time when more and more emerges over Celtic’s part in the five way agreement, as these things eventually do, Lawwell will be despised even more than he currently is by many.

The title and cup stripping due to hundreds of matches played with ineligible players, especially after the Supreme Court verdict, was an easy one for the club to push all the way as it would have had to happen with all the evidence now up front.

Instead Lawwell done the opposite and lied for years.

P67 used to carry the torch for the requisitioners on here.

Then he done a full 180 degree turnaround.

Any lingering doubts that P67maybe wasn’t a board stooge were answered that day.

The blog intro really did morph into The Celtic View from then on, if not before.

Only P67 will know if being Pravda for tims is what he set his site up for.

  17. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

Interesting read back of last few pages of comments.

IMHO, in some ways it is sad that the inevitable progression of professional football (as with ALL other sports) has seen skill and entertainment factors become secondary to systemic and athletic requirements.

Am minded of something Mike Ditka said.

“How fast he runs, how high he jumps, how much weight he lifts

    That’s all wonderful ….

But it has nothing to do with being a footballer !”

  18. prestonpans bhoys on

I’m sure it was videocelts who comprised a video of Shirley gaffs, including the EL final!

  19. Anybody that doesn’t think what they got for Bassey is very good, is in denial. Way above where I thought they would land but interesting to see what they do with it given they’ve padded out the team with extended oldies and freebie young uns with a couple of free thrown in.

They’ve 34 players once Bassey goes, spent shy of £5m on fees and probably a big wedge on Lawrence’s wages. Rumours Roofe is going and of course 2 assets in Kent and Morelos going nowhere.

Will they spend big or pay the bills ?

I know what history tells us. Champions League or bust. They’ll splurge.

    HH

  20. With Bassey in mind, feels like we utterly undersold Frimpong.

If JJ goes, then we have to set the bar a helluva lot higher in price.

And on us, I’m going to be controversial here but I’d sell Turnbull if a decent offer came in for him. Very good player (which is why he’ll have suitors) but don’t think he’s an Angeball type.

Now if only someone could take McCarthy….

We remain a selling club too csc

  23. On Shirley – a decent player who was boosted ( as per) bya gushing, un-blinking scoddish meeja………..

the point on any fee is that it’ll be revealed to be less than wot the currant dailies spout………………..

  24. Seamie Gallgher, Govan, said: “I would just like to give any confused or jealous people a reality check. Since the millennium, Celtic have won 36 trophies; That includes 16 titles, five trebles, five doubles, One Invincible treble and one quadruple treble. What an era it has been for my club and it’s still ongoing.”

  25. As I said.Very nice big boy who luvs his mammy.Good luck to him.Makes them richer for a bit,but seriously weakens their team.Aribo,Bassey,Balogun, all gone.

  26. Tom McLaughlin on

Why are so many posters obsessed with what Rangers get in transfer fees? Every time they sell a player, there’s a queue on here rubbishing the publicised (or not) transfer fee. If they buy a player, it’s the purchase price that is ridiculed.

There can be no doubt that the fact that Rangers went all the way to the Europa League final will have a huge bearing on what Ajax are prepared to pay for Bassey whether we like it or not.

I’m just happy that they are losing their key players and am only mildly interested in how much they are sold for. I don’t care how much they get as it all goes down a financial black hole anyway. If they start spending north of £5m on replacements, then perhaps I’ll sit up and take notice.

  27. I thought the standard of football played by Celtic’s mostly first choice players yesterday was excellent for the hour and understandably there was a dip in performance with the wholesale changes in the second half. The Hoops should have been out of sight with the game comfortably wrapped up by half time after outplaying a Blackburn team that obviously meant business judging by the robustness of their tackling. Bernebei the Argentinian lad was pacey and will improve when he settles.

  28. Bognorbhoy,

These figures can’t be true.Far too successful for a club like ours, who according to many, have been failures, led by failures, managed by a few failres,in fact just totally mismanaged.

No,no,no,these figures do not fit a few narratives.Kindly refrain from posting such info.

    There’s a good chap.

  30. No harm in keeping an eye on what the enemy are doing but for me that is as far as it goes.

My focus is on Celtic & nothing else but Celtic.

If Jota keeps going like he did Saturday, he will be worth 50 million.

Anyhow while it’s nice too have our players highly valued & great to be in Champion’s League Group Stage all I really want is to retain the League Title.

Good afternoon all from a sultry Govanhill and the cosmopolitan Victoria Bar. A fine Sunday to ye all.

  32. Think Legia game will be a different proposition for Ange.A proper game against opponents we could face again this season for real.Think he will want to test his best against them. Will be another great pre season game.More serious I would think.
