Our record in Europe is crap.

We can but dream if one day emulating Bodo Glimt. Or Sevco.

  2. Does Everyone still think that Taylor and Starfelt are good enough for us. Two wasters. Totally embarrassing being best by this team who are in pre season mode. Thankfully we can now concentrate on the league which is far more important. Scales must start from here on.

  3. the Norwegians have controlled this game from start to finish , dictating the pace and play , well deserving their victory.

  4. It always amuses me when people say our European opponents will tire in the second half. They never do. Usually they are fitter than we are.

    I think we’ll win over there…but I’d rather chase a 1 goal deficit than 2

To be fair, we do save our best performances for the plastic pitches.

  6. We’d have fare better against a well known team…Bodo, already a mystery, we’re more of an unknown quantity with new players…not unknown now though

  7. Back to square ball, back pass again.

If games were won by possession, we’d be world champions

  8. The two results tonight should keep us fairly grounded.

I’m glad we’re not away from home this weekend.

  9. At least there are no more European competitions to be relegated into.

Team selection treated them like they were Alloa. 6 forward players and

no defensive mid? Get a grip. They are a decent team.

Any further relegation, you end up in the SPL :o)

  11. Apart from Dortmund, we are the only team to losing at home by 2 goals in either the Europa or Conference. Still 5 minutes to improve that, or make it worse.

  12. Totally outplayed.

Can’t imagine why we went with 5 attackers, we’ve been smashed in Europe time and time again when we do that.. Hopefully a lesson learned by Ange.

Indirectly that is the problem. Ange has to field a team to break down parking the bus

week in week out. How can you prepare to meet teams like this? I think he should try

a more cautious approach. We have players who can play on the break but can we defend?

Disappointing. Send the young team out next week. League the priority. 2-0 down and the GB are still singing about braid black brimmers….time to say bye bye to them.

  15. Before a ball was kicked some on here were writing off the conference. I wasn’t, I genuinely thought it was a tournament we could do well in. I didn’t subscribe to the idea that the league was the end all.

Right now though we need to move on and focus on that league race.

Play a weakened side next week, Ange. We’re done in Europe.

  16. we scrambled to build a team , then we added early January – then we settled on our purchases when clearly we should have tried to be creative and bring in quality defensive players (even on loan) – but we didn’t because we never do – instead the board are overjoyed at announcing profits!

this will be a blow to our confidence.

Have the players been pushed too hard? hamstrings and cramps and criticized them after a win.

Next game will tell us a lot!
