  1. A good day out yesterday.

Sitting outdoors watching the football was probably the safest situation since leaving the house.

    Trains and buses mobbed.

Pubs near the ground absolutely rammed.

I really don’t understand how getting asked ” Papers please” in a queue will make the whole match day experience any safer. ?

  2. I loved Joe Hart’s urgency to get the ball back in play asap yesterday, i think he trained up the ball boys as well

AM has a long way to go — lots of talent but raw as sushi.

He needs to lose the scowl and engage with the players around him.

Plus defend his post and not get drawn into the middle.

2nd half / diving header / JH save.

I noticed that too. Rather than waste time chasing the ball when it went out of play he had the ball boys immediately present him with a new ball.

The ball was played leaving at least two Ross County players stranded up the park in an offside position.

  5. MV interview — good read but missing his take of the half time team talk vs ICT.

I feel that JB might have been telling him to sit down.

    Joe Hart and Celtic Class

    ————–

    the fella “gets us”.

that save yesterday was met with the roar of a goal, see the difference when the keeper is actually not afraid of the ball.

Do the Glesga inversion — if it had been a TFOD2.1 picture you would be decrying the parents for indoctrination and calling for social work involvement.

Really sad picture — child acting up for adult appreciation.

He doesn’t know if it is New year or New York — just taking part in the cartoon that is his life.

  8. We are habitually linked with Porteous , Doige , and Boyle .

None of them near good enough fir Celtic .

Walked past the front door of CP at 3.02,Barkas en route to the car park

maybe he left his gloves in the car.

  10. One other thing i liked from yesterday, everytime the cameras cut to kyogo in the front stand he was super concentrated on the game. you just know he was playing every ball, looking for every space, thinking of where he would be when he gets back.

  11. anybody at the game how was it getting into the staduim ??? with covid regulations beginning in october hows that going to work???

He has been doing that since Game 1. Is it an Ange instruction or did Joe just start it off the cuff?

  13. Frenetic pace in the Embra Derby.

The lad Woodburn on loan to the Jambos from Liverpool looks a clever prospect.

Baningeme and Boyle working bloody hard too.

  14. So at yesterdays sell our 45,000 at Celtic park, it was noticeable that Liam gallagher too the opportunity while he was here for the game to also appear at Transmt….or similar variations on spelling.

Anyway he was sitting in Rod Stewart’s seat….I thought you couldnae lend yer ticket tae someone else.

    I blame Dom McKay!

This is actually one of the better Edinburgh derbies and I been to loads of them. Trick is not to turn up sober😵😱

  16. I know one thing for sure is Celtic Park inside and outside sure needs a good facelift ,saw plenty of rust on pillars which needs attention in fact it’s a mess .

I remember when Graham Shinnie was leaving Caley Thistle, thinking he could come to Celtic and be a good addition at left back. At the same time, Tierney was at the club but had yet to play in the first team.

Coaches at the club must’ve known Tierney would have a chance and would need a run in the team to see if he could make it. So perhaps at that time there was no rush to fill the left back spot with any established player of ability to give the youngster a potential way through. Maybe the same is true for Montgomery and that stopped us buying a left back to go alongside Taylor.

  18. Yesterday our bus parked in its usual place just behind the Jock Stein stand alongside dozens of other coaches.

There was a 20 yard gap between the buses and the area in front of the turnstiles. The 20 yard gap was lined with barriers about 2 metres apart. To get from the coach park to the turnstiles we had to go between these barriers.

There were a few official looking people there with viz vests and clipboards, monitoring the throughput and occasionally taking notes.

On eventually alighting from the bus and walking through the barriers, I spoke to one of the officials. She told me it was a trial run for the introduction of vaccine checks. Apparently supporters will queue up between the barriers where a staff member will validate their QR codes before allowing people access to the stadium.

There were maybe ten barriers, forming 9 queues. She said similar barriers will be in place all around the stadium.

Obviously supporters coming off buses are seated in all parts of the stadium, but once you have passed through the checkpoint, you are in the stadium footprint and have access to all areas.

Looks and sounds good in practice. I’ll reserve judgement until its first live run.

PS After the game the barriers had been removed.

  19. Really enjoyed the Derby.Proper stuff. Two excellent keepers stopped it from being a score draw.Hearts have got stronger since we lost with 80% of the ball.Unfair criticism of Nesbitt.Brought a great save from Hearts keeper then very unlucky with an outrageous volley dropping over his shoulder.Does a lot of good running to make space, but some people just can’t see anything but goals.

    Good game,and good Refereeing.They can do it,sometimes,( ahem ).

  20. Quadrophenian,

Doig was playing left wing back, not LB.But I agree, our Bhoy looks very promising.

  21. Which game will be the first to be subject to the new vax checks please?

    Is it a Celtic game?
