Come to Celtic, we’ll make you a superstar

Moussa Dembele made the most of his debut opportunity for France under-21s yesterday. Arriving as a second half substitute, he soon won a penalty for France’s third and scored their fourth goal. The world has changed for Moussa since coming into the Celtic team for the injured Leigh Grifiths and scoring a hat-trick against Newco less than a month ago.

This is great news for the player but at a time when Celtic are pitching the opportunity to other young players to come to Celtic Park instead of sitting in the development teams of an English club, it’s just as good news for the player.

Moussa isn’t any better than he was at Fulham last year. Had he stayed, or moved to an English Premier League club, none of this would have happened. The move to Celtic has been career-changing within two months of the new season starting.

Telling Moussa’s story, and that of Fraser, Virgil and Victor, will be done again and again whenever Celtic track a player. “Come to Celtic, we’ll make you a superstar” is the mantra.

I see a bit of chat on the review of how away tickets are distributed.  Celtic have asked for input from lots of fans on this in recent weeks.  There are a few areas that aren’t working as well as they could at the moment, so the consultation is a good step.

By ‘We’… i mean the posters on the blog who took exception to your lies.

You have been warned about your conduct…thats enough for me.

Why cant you just be good…like me:)

Was reading on the previous blog (TBB) how much trouble the admen had with Ad Blocker.

Given that how do you think they would do against Dan Blocker?

  6. If the planned consultative group does go ahead and subsequently fails, the company will be as disappointed as us believe me.

Don’t let narrow mindedness and ignorance cloud your judgement.

  7. Just popped on CQN to get an update on Dev Team match. It seems CQN doesn’t even know our Development Team are playing. Not one single mention of it.

Just checked updates on Twitter and the young Bhoys appear to be dominating game but are trailing 0-1 to a 4th minute Partick goal.

Apologies for butting in on school yard spats to talk about fitbaw.

  8. VFR…

Much respect to you for your good deed today.

A very sad story and a slight on our society but at least you and the other pall bearers have provided some humanity.A lot of energy gets wasted on the wrong emotions, your efforts today are a shining example of people being good.

    May the lady RIP.

    My friends in Celtic,

After one of the most sad but heartening posts this morning I see International week symptoms in evidence on CQN.

Maybe it’s just me, but I love the advert where Frankie Bhoy tells us to get our Boilers protected. It’s the best way he says.

What does Frankie know about Boilers though?

I think he’s serviced a few old boilers over the years…..:)

    A real crackling shout…chicharones?

I may have already enjoyed a couple of copas while waiting for the rest of this stag part to arrive :)

If he is involved in the process he cannot then be arbiter or go between in future as he will receive personal criticism for whatever issue the supporter brings to him to arbitrate with the club. And lessons of history should also not be ignored in this instance.

  12. Moussa still 140 votes behind, in second place in the Golden Boy vote. There is a link on CQN to the vote, CQN can make a difference here if we get active. Vote early & often.

  13. Wee Dembele not even on the bench today.

Maybe the 9minutes did end his career after all.

  14. Evening Times today , I had a quick look online.

They have photos of 6/7 persons from Celtic v Sevco.

It looks to me that ONLY ONE of those photographed appears to be a Hun in the toilets, the rest are Celtic fans !

Try all the little Tapas bars the smaller and grottier the better!!

Vino tinto and a small plate then move on to the next one…………:-)

  19. See those noble fellows in the mssm are trying to sell Tierney and Dembele.

As our pitiful league shows signs of an improving these proud Scots(they were about McGeady and McCarthy)would rather weaken it so the new team has a better chance of winning.

Like the international side they would rather be losers than play better Tims,

Remember a EUFA delegate once remarked about how strange it was the Scots journalists were always the ones reporting Celtic.

Hard for a country to grow and develop with the mindset of the majority of Scotlands population.

May have been me as I visit a lot. If you are in Madrid and looking for cheap eats – go to El Tigre (just off Gran Via). Buy a pint and get food for hee haw. All sorts of tapas.

  21. Hamiltontim,

Not sure if I missing something? When I hit the link marked ‘here’ on the Trusts site all I am getting is a blank page?

I hope that the family are well. Thanks for the hard work.

    Philbhoy,

Thanks for the reply. The bloggers must be hitting sore points. Let’s hope others keep asking the questions.
