Fans Against Criminalisation (FAC) are closer than ever to achieving their goal of having the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act repealed. While the majority in the Scottish Parliament are on their side, the Scottish Government have gone deaf to the voice of the Scottish people in the hope they can successfully distract attention from the issue.
FAC would like you to join their campaign by emailing your MSP. The Celtic Trust have made the process easy with a link to ‘Find my MSP’ and an email template here.
Good luck to all who join the campaign.
NEW CQN PODCAST OUT NOW FEATURING TOMMY SHERIDAN
A Celtic State of Mind presents its 30th instalment of insightful discussion around the culture of Celtic Football Club, the city of Glasgow, and fans of the reigning treble-winning Scottish champions.
Kevin Graham is joined by Scotty Alcroft to interview Scottish pro-independence politician, Tommy Sheridan, at The Penalty Spot in Glasgow.
The interview took place as part of A Celtic State of Mind’s first live event – Five-a-sides at The Penalty Spot – and, as such, there is some background noise (including mobile interference – apologies) from the audience.
The other voice you may hear throughout this episode is that of former Celtic striker, Frank McGarvey, who is a friend of Tommy’s, and who was also interviewed separately that day for a future show.
You are sure to enjoy Tommy’s eclectic input, as he discusses everything from Catalan independence to Coolio, with a constant undercurrent of that thing called Celtic.

Very quick reply from John Scott.
Dear RobinBhoy
Thanks for your email. I voted against the introduction of the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act when it first came to Parliament and will certainly be voting for its repeal when that proposal reaches the Chamber.
Kind regards,
John
Somebody add me to Delaney’s list please , as for OBAF act i’ve only had 3 replies out of 8 but all 3 in favour of repealing

Erik when he was first signed by Delia seemed positive and surefooted.
No idea what happened when Brendan arrived but injuries and some absolute stinkers seemed to make up coaches mind he was not for him.
For me he is decent but not sure what position suits him?
He is to error prone for a central defender due to his tendencies to dive in and overpersue.
His passing out from back is also erratic.
Hope he succeeds wherever he goes as he seems a good Celtic man and a nice individual.

I have not posted for years, but just wanted to say that the reply you got
from your SNP ,MSP is exactly the same as I received from James Dornan
my SNP ,MSP the other two replies that I received from both Labour and
Tory MSPs said they would be supporting James Kelly’s repeal bill.
HH
Good man Paul67, many thanks!
As a middle-aged man who is a bit of a dum-dum when it comes to the technical side of life of copying and pasting (ie don’t know how) could someone put me on the Delaney’s Dunky list. Read all his posts and he is Celtic to the core.
HT
Good man yourself for your efforts on here to gaib=n support for the repeal of this very silly Bill (!)..
JJ
PS I haven`t had any replies so I think I better have another go.
I think ` gaib=n` means ` gather` in the Code-breakers Lexicon.

My own take on the club from Govan is that they will not be allowed to die.Same as 2012.
However,if the best case scenario eventuated, what would happen?Seriously! What would happen?50k people who attended a match every fortnight would do what?Seriously!Any thoughts? Yes, a few would support their local team, a few would give the game away, but what of the rest–30k? Thoughts, please. HH.
They will follow team playing Celtic……..??
Having dealt regularly with the Scottish Government through work, guaranteed that the SNP stock answer will have been penned by a Civil Servant in St Andrew’s House.
Quote the data sources that suit your argument, seems to be the approach, and ignore all other opinion or evidence.
Selective use of out-of-context quotations is also a common, and very useful tool in the Civil Servant arsenal.

Got to say this quote from Alex Neil,
“removing the requirement to prove it would cause fear and alarm to a reasonable person.”
Should concern everyone, the introduction of conviction without proof.
well done FAC
Has Lorenzo phoned Southampton yet?
Canamalar
And this also from Alex Neil :
” Victim Support Scotland said it “is opposed to the repeal of the 2012 Act unless there is a viable alternative to support victims of threatening communication and religious prejudice.”
Is he saying that, before this Act, there was nothing in Law to prevent` threatening communication and religious prejudice.` ? Really?
I feel many people voted for the SNP because they, those voters, feel quite patriotic and felt voting SNP meant making Scotland more Scottish. This Bill alone might lead to them reconsidering their choice of Government in Scotland.

Good man J thank you.
received the letter from SNP MSP Clare Haughey
Disgrace and was of money when an email costs nothing
Did SNP post 15000 letters out?
Good use of resources?
RIP Dolores.
Thanks for the beautiful voice and this particular classic track that’s been close to all our hearts since 2012…

Interesting story from the weekend, West Brom v Brighton. An alleged racial comment from one player to another. No witnesses to speak of as far as I’m aware. Reported to the FA. Lets see how they deal with it. It’s very similar to the Tonev case.
RIP Dolores, only 46.
DD phone home. Does SIPSINI have any info on the bold DD?

Still awaiting a reply from the local MSP, who is SNP. Almost since first contacting him in 2014, I have received the party line printed reply. It does not surprise me that others are now receiving the same treatment from their local SNP representatives.
What surprises me is that CQN’ers are surprised by the response of our elected SNP representatives.
Individual thinking is simply not tolerated.
