Firhill is the stage, fickle looking form

520

You can imagine the anticipation Celtic players as they arrived for training this morning for Saturday’s visit to Firhill. They must be bursting a gut, just desperate to get onto the field and do their stuff. You and I have seen lots of this team, but right now, today, they will have an edge that’s been missing for so long. They have questions to answer, points to prove and a league title to win.

Firhill will be their stage. If anyone at Lennoxtown is in doubt about the job required, I still have my boots, just let me at them.

It’s indicative of where we are that those two draws (Hamilton and Dundee) plunged us into a form crisis. Since the turn of the year we’ve won 9 out of 13 games, failing to win twice with 10 men, once away to our nearest challengers, and that awful Dundee game at Celtic Park. Were it not for the two red cards, I expect the dip in form would be scarcely noticeable.

Over the same period Aberdeen have had a far easier programme, playing only 9 games (in 9 weeks). They’ve won six of these games, including the last two, which has put a more respectable look on their form. It’s still not any better than Celtic’s, though.

We’re still playing fixture catch-up, as we’ve six games in the next five weeks, to Aberdeen’s four, but that’s the price of reaching the latter stages of cup competitions.

Just ordered my tickets for Motherwell, never seem to get away from the first six rows. Do they reserve them for on-line bookings?

Just had a text from our good friend Celticrollercoaster with the disturbing news that he arrived home from work today to find that his house had been broken into.

Amongst other things he says that he needs to fit a good alarm system and quality upvc back door so if any of you have recommendations he’s happy to hear from you, via this email if need be: cqnpredictor@gmail.com .

Paul67. Is it time you conceded that point and we can join the barracades together? Or are you still in too deep.

Cqn stands tonight of a campaign of lies and misinformation against Celtic supporters. What say you Paul?

Stop the worry and panic over the huns, It takes time but there is too much money involved for nothing to happen. So haud yer water Bhoys. This crazy world is driven by money and HMRC won’t leave empty handed.

Also while I am at it, To be honest i know there are still lots of point to be played for. But if we fail to beat that Thistle team the dons beat last night we don’t deserve to win the league. It hurts to say and no doubt I’m a hun but there it is. I don’t buy into the false confidence of the opener. I think if we do win the title it will be because of either the players put aside their differences with Ronnie or each other and get us over the line or by default, Hearts and Aberdeen will cancel each other out.

Hopping for something to cheer about Bhoys.

Sent CRC a message. We were in Bed Easter Sunday in 2000 when our House got tanned, they took the Car amongst other things. Our Son was only 18 months old at the time. Two months after the event Slough Police phoned looking for the Wife, she was out and I took the call. They found her Driving Licence in a House they turned for drugs. Never did get the Bastards but I know who did it.

My Heart goes out to CRC and the family, not pleasant experience.

    Keep the Faith!

    HT,

It will be raised one way or the other, making sure action is taken is the goal, that has its best chance if the board make the complaint, getting them to accept their responsibility appears to be the problem.

There are laws in place that regulate corporate administration and responsibility which is party why we hired a corporate/commercial legal firm :)

Can the Plc board not be brought to account for failure to act in their shareholders interests?

  21. Great game at Stamford Bridge, some excellent ind ideal players. I posted earlier about Big Jock in 1967 using a squad of about 17 players. Can anyone tell me what a full reserve squad would have been then ? I used to watch the reserves c 1964 when Jinky was playing, but can’t remember the reserve team of 67.
