Delighted to see Brendan Rodgers is down to business at Lennoxtown, three weeks before the players return for preseason training. It’s interesting that he arranged an early opportunity to meet Scott Brown over a meal, and that this was made public.
Getting buy-in from senior players was one aspect of the job Ronny Deila allegedly didn’t achieve. The rights and wrongs of this can wait for Ronny’s autobiography, although you may wish to express an outsider’s opinion. All that matters to Brendan is that no one is able to speculate about the same issue on his watch.
There’s not much a manager can do three weeks before training starts than eat dinner with the captain, scout players and watch videos. I expect Brendan to have seen every minute of every Celtic game last season by the time players get back; there is lots to learn. In particular, what went wrong at the back to a team which broke defensive records in each of the previous two campaigns. You may wish to express an outsider’s opinion.
Those in the know warned us that blue collar crime is particularly difficult to prosecute, and so it’s transpired. Only Craig Whyte now faces trial in the Rangers fraud case, which saw remaining charges against Duff and Phelps’ administrators David Whitehouse and Paul Clark dropped at the High Court in Glasgow this morning. It’s far from a satisfactory outcome.
Good to hear the losing Scottish Cup final manager, who was left with some bears in Japanese forest for seven days by his parents, has been found safe and well, even if he has nothing to say for himself.

An update on the Res 12 t-shirts.
These will be priced at £20.11 and this will include post and packaging for BRITAIN and IRELAND.
Rest of world will be a fiver more.
3 sizes will be available – L, XL and XXL.
The profit will go to pay the final legal bill which the Res 12 guys are about to receive. Previous legal bills have been paid via several donations and the guys funding themselves.
Auldheid asked for our help, thus the tshirts.
Should be available to order later today or tomorrow.
WC what size would a gent with a firm 40 in the chest but slimmer hips order
And 12 ribs
Scorching here in Nordrhein Westfalen. Just did my first and definitely my last car boot sale. Heading back to Glasgow in approx 7 weeks time so trying to get rid of some sh!t. Some of the people, mostly Germans and Russians, would almost expect you to pay them to take your goods. Never mind made enough to part fund a trip to Berlin for me and the Bhoy, who has never been to Berlin before despite spending most of his life in Germany. I’m such a bad daddy.
I’m up for a Res 12 T-shirt and as I like them baggy a size XL please. This time last year it would have been 3XL.
Could I have mine with green text please and blue numbers? Only saying like. ;-)
At least we’ve got the Republic to look forward to in the Euros until the real football season starts again, them and everybody who plays against Engerland.

That was a quite excellent obituary piece.
Just for the sake of clarity , Ali didn’t have Parkinson’s disease: it was Parkinsonism he suffered from. Parkinsonism mimics the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease but it is brought on by damage to the brain.
Another thing about Ali: his great grandfather was a white Irishman called O’Grady from Co. Clare. So it’s almost certain ‘The Greatest’ was a Celtic support.

I blame my tapeworm…

Heard that over the weekend that Ali had an Irish great grandfather, it was news to me, was expecting a few of the Irish boys on celebrating it as there are one or two on here who claim that everyone is Irish.
However Ali is only a T away from being Italian so we’ll claim him too.

Our no.12 would have been a league winning goalscorer- Tommy Johnson.
If the no.12 feat is repeated, Stefan Scepovic will win us next year’s league.
French Open final on ITV @ 2pm
Cassius O’Clay hails from Ennis (true)

Tapeworm! Never heard of that beverage ;)
Swithering whether to watch the tennis or take some sun in, my daughter said I could pass for an Italian already.

Hello again all you young rebels.
Reading back it seems Celtic have a pink strip, is that right?
don’t think that will be a seller but then i thought the bumble
bee was the worst thing i had ever seen and then i remembered
the camouflage crap with the peoples advert on it or is that a
figment of my imagination, i tell you old age doesn’t come alone,
anything green will do me whichever variation because it gets
right up the stickies noses.

Yes theres one here on the rebel peninsula and my grandson
is waiting on you to whip your butt, taxi fare might be a problem
though. LOL
H.H Mick
A pink strip is a good idea. I’d suggest few buy our third strip anyway. But given the numbers of female supporters we have nowadays, it’s a good way of appealing to a wider base of our support.

Hi Mick – starting to plan for Oz in about 18 months from now.
Big save up job though – will take about £10K for me and the weans for about 3 1/2 weeks around Christmas-time. Need to work around the weans’ exams (Miss BGFC will be in Uni by that time, which I can’t believe!!)
We’ll get there…

Some years ago now a new Bishop was appointed to one of our diocese. In preparation for his arrival those responsible for maintaining his residence decided to sort out the garden, this involved amongst a number things painting the back door . So far so good. A short time after the new Bishop had moved in he was made aware of a letter that had been sent to the then Archbishop of Glasgow.
In the letter was a complaint from a neighbour of the new Bishop who was unhappy with the choice of colour for the back door, apparently it was a “provocative green colour” .

Andy wins first set 6-3 live on ITV & Eurosport
I’ve drawn the turkey.
They’ve no chance after overlooking Kazim-Richards and Ciftci.
Turkey are 80 to 1 to win it- joint 13th in the betting alongside Wales.
They are 3rd favourites in Group D. My best bet would be for the 4th seed Czech rep. to hammer them and I can collect the most goals conceded prize.
Nobody gave Greece much of a chance when they won , I wonder if one of the outsiders could do it again
Zlatan to sign after scoring the winner at Euro 2016 !
Am delighted to be cheering on our Lustig & Guidetti to have a good tourney, just a pity young Jordan didn’t make the squad
