    I don’t think so !!!!

Thanks for the reply. It’s taken over fifty years to realise that hate consumes the hater. I just try , not always successfully, to learn from experiences that life has thrown in my path.

Rather than hate what ” thems” ,old or new stand for, I’m just content waking up any day not being a part of anything they stand for..

If West Ham were to visit Celtic Park , I’m sure you’re correct in saying some would visit the Louden. Every club has a right wing element.

I can only vouch for my own experience. I hardly saw any trouble watching West Ham down south which wasn’t the case elsewhere.I did though enjoy the fitba on show at West Ham without the emotional involvement.

I’m not trying to be saintly or a smart arse. I just appreciate everything that Celtic bring , while judging others with what I’ve personally experienced.

We can maybe discuss this over a beer sometime. HH

Was talking to wife on that subject tonight.

Watching SanFrancisco v New England Patriots Kapernik through a good pass that led to touchdown but a commentator who had earlier moaned about his stance of kneeling at national anthem in protest couldn’t bring himself to praise him and said he should have led man into end zone instead of the guy having to catch it outside and leap into end.

Told my wife it reminded me of how in Scotland the commentators always equate our goals with defensive mistakes by opponents rather than skill by us.

Their dislike of us prevents them from giving deserved praise.

The 5-1 game against the huns was on tv here in the USA but i watched it on my computer at Celtic tv after the first few minutes of hunnish commentary that in no way reflected what was happening on the field.

I agree wirh what you say bout hammers, my choice too when living down there.no false airs or graces, they worked for what they got whereas spurs were livin on past glories, arsenal were boring and chelsea were debt laiden yoyo club in div2 @ time

  6. I noticed that comment by Thomson and also later when complementing Killie he again mentioned that it was a fortuitous goal they lost.

He also thought Forrester knew what he was doing and scored a clever goal!!!!!!!!!

Hate does indeed consume. It is a cancerous worm that never sleeps. It has dire mental and physical effects on the host. Worse still is that it is the opposite of charity, the most important virtue we could ever hope to possess.

  8. Margaret McGill on

The most important virtue of any human is love. Faith Hope and charity are just religious semantics.

  9. Big Peat of Islay on

MARGARET MCGILL on 21ST NOVEMBER 2016 2:16 AM

Margaret, Love is charity. In terms of virtues they are identical.

And what does just religious semantics mean?

They are theological virtues that are absolutely fundamental to the human condition.

Are you married Mags? Or do you know someone who is? They have hope for a bright future. They absolutely require faith to bind themselves together in marriage as they have no human guarantees of success. And without charity they cannot stand any chance of fulfilling their obligations.

There you go: Faith, Hope and Charity.

I’m on a flight to Montevideo and I’ve come to the conclusion that Uruguay is the Scotland of South America

  11. Happy Monday all. Boy oh boy it’s cold out there… minus 8 as I chipped ice off the car to drive on slippy roads to the airport. I don’t suppose anyone knows any Celtic friendly bars in Kiev for the game on Wednesday?

    Hail Hail!

  14. ANGELGABRIEL & other.

I understand fully that to ” hate” can be to some consuming, but without appearing like I’m different from anyone else , I have lived my life as full as possible and leaving the hate in the background. I still am to a large effect ” paying” for the hate that was shown towards me decades ago. There is a relationship with a family member, that is still affected due to bigotry and hatred from those decades ago.

For obvious reasons I can’t go into details on here, and I’m sure you’ll understand that much ?

As for having some beers, that would be great. At the moment I have issues being out at night ( again it’s health related) but hopefully that will improve very soon ?

In the daytime is a lot better for me, but obviously that wouldn’t suit some unless maybe a Saturday when Celts aren’t playing ?

If CQN are having a day out prior to Christmas , especially during the daytime Id be up for that ?

I can go out at night but I’d need to share a taxi home with someone, as I can’t travel on public transport coming home ?

TURKEYBHOY on 20th November 2016 10:45 pm I agree with you. I feel that, when it comes, it will be a knockout blow for the SFA, SPFL and the Deid Club. It will have no effect on the new club – apart from taking away their 100 non-trophies.

I am certain there will be a question about the roof in there!

A few scattered Monday morning thoughts.

    Questions for JPT

Did the huns pay the ticket money for the last Old Firm game ?

Why did PL give up his seat on the SFA gaming board and why was his tenure so short ?

What has a bhoy to do to get the above two questions answered ?

    ——–

I always thought that The Mensch and Sitonthefence was the same guy

The JJ website is still up and without any updates but without any updates … sounds like the bouy is in custody or being heavily observed.

I also SUGGEST (and it is only a suggestion) that the Mensch’s tear’s are borne from a man not just with family problems but financial one´s also.

  25. I had tattie scones for breakfast. Today I am unstoppable!

I see BMG lost again at the weekend – not the best preparation for the visit of Man City.

Btw, forecast for Glasgow on Weds is sunny and clear. I prefer to beat Europe’s big guns when it is raining. Ah well…

  26. Used to like watching West Ham United when, Stuart Slater played with them.

What a player SL was….magical….Cellic stuff.

Then,….he came to the Cellic and…..he found out how guid a manger that Liam Brady was.

SL would have been a guid Cellic player under a savvy manager.

Sadly for him and us,….that wizny the case.

Anyhow,….SL was a real entertainer at WHU….brilliant to watch.

I’m not too sure about the WHU fans apart from the Danny Dyer stuff but, there are worsererererer yins going aboot.

    In other news…..
