Neil’s back, Anthony’s off

454

Best wishes to Neil Lennon is his new role as Hibernian manager. Without wanting to be impolite about Alan Stubbs, Hibs have traded-up in getting a manager of international repute and experience at the highest level of the game.

Neil is a talented coach who got unlikely results across his Celtic career. He’ll bring Hibs up next season and establish a platform to rebuild the club.

Best wishes too to fellow Irishman Anthony Stokes, who left the club yesterday six years after joining from Hibs. The best of Anthony was there for all to see at the Scottish Cup final. He’s still only 27 and, should he find the appetite, he should still have a few good years in the game. His Celtic ‘thing’ finished years ago.

Celtic legend, Charlie Gallagher, will be signing copies of his autobiography at Waterstons, East Kilbride, this Saturday (11th) from 2pm, and 2pm the following Saturday (18th) at Waterstones, Braehead. Get along to see him!

Good luck to all involved in the Green Brigade Anti-discrimination tournament at James McGrory Park on Saturday. If you’re not in East Kilbride, get along.

    Agreed.

Alex has questioned and probed in the past. By even contacting the Guardian, he has done more than most journalists already. Defo one I respect.

Antagonising him serves no purpose, IMO.

just saw the new Nike Commercial for Euro 2016 starring Cristiano Ronaldo

not a patch on the original nike/brazil in the airiport commercial starring the original/fat Ronaldo … which I think is still the best football commercial, even after all these years.

Very sad news he was a tower of strength to our family not so long ago.

    Prayers will be offered.

Must admit when I read Phils blog earlier my thoughts were the same.

On hindsight, if he was asked to not repeat what the conversation involved in confidence, reckon he’s been honourable in his part.

Wish I knew what was said though :-))

Maybes he will, maybes he won’t, but for sure I won’t be holding my breath.

When he was doing his bit a couple of years back, I was on his blog on a regular basis, I posted under three different names, it was deliberate and all my posts were published until the cabal were mentioned, I waited a fair bit of time between mentioning the masons in the posts, none were published, and nothing that any of the names I posted under were published again, no matter the content.

I can only draw my own conclusions from that.

R.I.P. Willie Diamond. The last time I met him was in Donegal Town, where we spent a long time “catching up”. That was a few years ago. I didn’t know he was a Monsignor, let alone he was in St. Mirin’s. I don’t think he was that old. He has earned his eternal reward.

  9. Hello, I missed a call from you 10 minutes ago. My name is Mark Warburton, manager of Rangers.

Oh, thanks for calling me back, I am Phil McGhullighbain (sp), journalist, author, blogger and died in the wool Celtic supporter.

We hello, here are all my secrets about the Rangers now don’t tell anyone I told you.

    Ok Mark!!

F8ck off PhilMac just some more of your made up pish!

  10. Oh, and this is the same AT who thinks the Celtic support are worse than the Millwall support.

    Sips

I doubt he even got a call from the Warbiola, made up pish.

At the end of the day he is supposed to be a beacon of light in the journo world, telling it like it is, telling the world what the msm journos won’t tell us.

    Aye right.

  11. RIP Fr Diamond

Diamond by name, diamond by nature.

If I remember he was a local, from Glenburn in Paisley.

Played golf too, to a decent standard.

I’m saddened by the news of his passing, a great priest -positive- gentle natured- will miss him.

I am fine, the Mrs isny the may west, but we reckon after seeing a specialist at the end of the month, he will authorise a wee opp and things should be back on track, she needs her Thyroid removed, they need to accept this, they can’t control it with medication and it’s playing havoc with her, swatting up on all the medical terms in Spanish, you think you are getting there with the lingo but always something comes up to bite you on the backside.

    Take care

I do feel guilty about my youngest daughter. I have spoken to her about and and explained. She gets it.

  19. The exiled Tim,

We may not agree on AT but one thing I do agree with is Phil Mac. His posts are getting fewer and fewer because he has nothing of import to say. I think he may have had good sources at some point but those days are long gone. All hints, nothing of substance, “It’s a developing story” !!!

    Celtic finally release a statement

IThe club has noted some speculation on social media that suggests an impending comment on what I can best describe as a conspiracy theory. If I were to accept every theory from any Brogan, Rogan or Trevino, I might as well change my name by deed poll to David Icke, dress in purple robes and sing Depeche Mode’s Personal Jesus.

As the CEO of Celtic Football Club, which is a listed plc, I’m mindful of maintaining the tradition of the chase. CFC officers have been selling season tickets on this basic business premise since the good old days when Dermot Desmond’s moustache was fashionable and we could trim 10,000 off the gate to avoid tax.

If we hold Rangers to account, Dave King will wreak havoc. If I’m not mistaken one of his directors was raking through my bin for evidence just the other day. As I ran down my heated driveway he took off faster than Stewart Regan can blow dry his hair. When I related the sequence of events to my barber, he showed me some early photographs of Paul Murray posing as a barber’s model, which only confirmed my suspicions. Identity theft is such a problem these days. If you have any doubt on this matter, just ask Dave King who was passing himself off as an accountant called Charlotte something or another.

We have hired Brendan Rodgers and the sun is shining on Celtic Park. We are playing Barcelona in a pre-season tournament while Joey Barton’s Rangers are engaging in Assault v Battery in Charleston. Given that Mark Warburton is as elusive as a David Murray tax return, one should ask oneself whether you would prefer to be in Rangers shoes right now?”

Naganon … I, too, have said that, unless the club does something to address the issues before the season starts, I will not watch another game of theirs …. I have to admit I am bricking it, as, honestly, I don’t have much confidence that the club will do the right thing anymore …

I tell myself that, if they don’t, then they are no longer the club that I grew up believing in … that is supposed to make me feel better about it … not sure it is helping.

    respect, pal.

  22. Anyway, having loads of problems logging on both on desk top in the office and new laptop at home.

Once I’m in, it takes me ages to type a post as letters I type fail to appear on the screen, then just disappear.

Plus their are so many fannies posting on here I’m sick fed up of it.

So cheerio and I hope the Masonic Celtic Board get what they are due.

    And soon.
